I have always wondered about eyelash extensions. From what I understood, they're very high maintenance; you can't get them wet and the prices to put them on are crazy! Plus, I'm not very girly girl. I hate putting on makeup and getting done up. I rather live au naturel. Unfortunately, being that way makes me look like a guy and that does nothing to attract the opposite sex. Anyway, back to the eyelashes. Why did I get them? Well, I was going on a trip, and from what I understood, having eyelash extensions does cut down on makeup time. Heck, I'm down for that since I hate putting on makeup. Less time getting ready equals more time for sleep! Goal! Isn't that what vacations are about, relaxation and experiencing new places? So, I figured, heck I'll do the extensions. I'll try them out and if I hate them, I just won't get them put back on. But once Karen-Marie was done putting them on, I was all like, whoa baby, I look so cute! I loved it! The whole flight there (the 6 hours flying) I was staring at myself in the mirror, taking selfies, fluttering my eyelashes, my friend thought I was crazy! But I love it. The eyelashes opened up my eyes! Without putting on makeup and makeup and makeup. My vacation did involve serious pool time and in the water, but I was careful. I wasn't a pain and said, oh don't get my lashes wet. They got wet, but I did my best that the water didn't pull too much on them. Yes, I know, that sounds weird, but once you have lashes, you'll understand. So that nixed that myth, you can get them wet. Not excessively wet, but your lashes won't die if you splash some water on them. My verdict on eyelash extensions? I can not not have them. It makes a world of a difference. All I have to do is wake up and go! It's that easy! I get fills every 2 weeks, but I rather save myself time than money. But her prices are not ridiculous! They are very affordable unlike some other places. The thing about the lashes is that I don't have very long ones. Karen-Marie tried the longer ones on me, but they didn't look right. Maybe for other people it would be ok, but I trust her judgement on how she makes me look so beautiful! Karen-Marie is very professional, but is a one-woman shop. Because she runs everything, she prefers texting. She does have an on-line appointment system that makes it very easy to make appointments. There isn't any parking at the building, but Ward Center has tons of parking. Just go to Jamba after you park! So if you are curious about eyelash extensions, check out Karen-Marie. I had done a lash extension and booked online. The online is a little confusing for a new comer. I just need to touch up and I have no clue on which service that is. Other than that, Karen-Marie was very professional and since this was my first time getting it done, she fully explained the process from the start and then how to take care of them after. She made me feel comfortable with this new experience. I too, don't put on make-up but having these lashes made a big difference.
