The lashes always last long, so long I forget when it's time for refills. Speaking of it would be an excellent practice to maybe have an app that can schedule appointments and set up reminders to let us know when time is almost up for refills. I also asked to see some photos of past customers just to get an idea of what the size and styles actually look like. After seeing a few photos, I decided to get the glamour style and size 12-13. I have been going to eye love lash for 2 years now and recommended probably 3 people who have become devout clients to Mina and Vivian. However the entire team is just as professional and dedicated! They respond to text messages for booking and are just so accommodating. The place itself is cozy and they even give you moisturizing gloves while your eyelashes are getting done. They did a very good job. My eyelashes looked uneven when I was done, and when I pointed it out, the women didn't deny it and said, "You're right. We'll fix it." It turns out that my eyelashes looked perfectly symmetrical with my eyes closed, but my eyes are different sizes/shapes when they're open, so they had to redo part of my right eye with longer lashes so that my eyelashes match when my eyes are OPEN. The owner fixed it herself. My lashes look really natural and I really liked that they didn't give me a hard time when I asked them to fix it. read more

I went here because I got the Groupon and read the Yelp reviews and it seemed like the best place! To start, the place seemed great because of the 5-star reviews I saw before hand on Yelp. After my appointment, I received an email with $10 store credit and a membership card if I wrote a review for Yelp. Granted, a customer could also earn store credit by simply liking their FB. A lot of customers have written reviews. It was very easy to make the appointment thankfully and the appointment room was small but very clean. It was my first time getting lashes done and I told them that, unfortunately I don't think they quite understood that, because I wanted to discuss with them which kind of lashes would be best for me, what they would recommend, etc. They didn't really give too much input, leaving me to guess for myself. Then I proceeded by asking some questions like what would happen to my natural lashes, how they attached them, I didn't know anything and just wanted to ease my mind! They snickered at me and almost made me feel stupid for thinking that it would damage my natural lashes. I have read a lot of negative things that said that happened, so it was a serious concern! As I was getting them done, a whole bunch of the women that worked there gathered around, and we're having a conversation. There was like 3 of them, so it was very loud and definitely not relaxing. The lashes did look good and they gave me a little brush to take better care of them everyday. When I called back 2.5 weeks later to ask for a fill in or touch up, they said I couldn't because I had the 50 lashes, which didn't have a touch up included. So I asked if I could just get the touch up for the 80 lash package. They said that wasn't possible and that I would have to pay full price, no more Groupon pricing. Which meant $120. Thats quite an increase from the $35 I paid for 50 lashes!! The actual lashes looked good, but everything else around it made me never go back there again. I have to say I'm pretty disappointed. I moved to the city several months ago and have been looking for a place to go regularly for my eyelashes. I've been to two places before I tried Eyelovelash, and they were just okay. With all the good reviews, pretty pictures on Yelp, and not cheap price for eyelash extension, I had my hopes up and was excited to think I might finally find a place to go. First of all, the place was surprisingly small and not private at all. All the places I have been to, even the places with half price, at least have one separate room where the procedures are being done. But Eyelovelash only has one general room with everything going on and it's very small; I couldn't rest at all during the time, because people keep walking in and out, paying, settling down, talking and the host answering the phone etc. So when my eyelashes were done, I thought they looked fine, and I was in a rush so I didnt spend a lot time looking at them. When I got home later the night, I realized the lashes were done a little poorly. My left eye(the girl did my left eye first) was way better done than my right one. The lashes on my right eye were glued so far away from my actual lash roots and it's visible. I was afraid the lashes on my right eye would fall down very quickly and my own lashes will get pull off with them. And that's exactly what's happening now... It has only been 3 and half days, but half of the lashes on my right eye has fallen..... They tend to curve down a lot and poke my eyeball because they are so far away from the root and they are heavier than my own lashes. It's extremely annoying and painful. Furthermore, my lashes aren't done very evenly on my eyes so there are some random little gaps that look really funny... I had the "sexy" design where they put longer eyelashes at the end and shorter at inner corner of my eyes, however, I really don't think it look like what the described and showed my on pictures; I really do think they are all the same length, and I dont have the cateye looking they were talking about at all... I really would give them one star for the job they did on my eyelashes and the price they charge (I gave the girl a very good tip...), but to be fair the staff there were nice and polite. read more

So I had a great experience here yesterday even with a Groupon voucher for 80 mink lashes and all (+5 extra for Yelp check-in). No waiting, went right in. Mina helped me pick out a C curl, Gorgeous, at 12mm - she was so gentle throughout! I actually counted how many lashes she put on my right eye, and counted well over the 80 that I paid for, so assume my left eye got the same treatment. Nice cozy blanket and soothing melodic unicorn hymns put me to sleep. Mina explained post-care procedure (no water contact for 24 hours, but I would say be conservative at 48 hours). No hidden charges, except $2.50 tax fee. Front desk girl and guy (I think perhaps owner) were really nice. Got a lash brush and a few promotion cards. Also don't be a cheapass and tip on the Groupon value. It's clearly stated on the voucher that you should tip on the pre-discounted amount, not to mention it's universal social protocol to tip on the full value regardless of any discount that you receive. You're already being a cheap ass by buying the voucher, don't be even more of a cheap ass by swindling your technican out of a well-deserved tip! Update: Week 3 and going pretty strong! I would say about 65-70% of the eyelashes are still there. Quite impressed! read more

Sorry, but I did not have the stellar experience that most seem to be reporting. First, let me say on the positive note the guy that seems to be the manager of the business is very prides soba and fairly knowledgeable on lashes to boot. But, that's were my positive first-time encounter ended. I had a pre-scheduled appointment for a specific time of which I even received an text reminder the day before. Nice! So, I arrive on time a few minutes before my appointment actually to the easy to find location. Upon arrival I am nicely greeted but I could tell something was amiss because the room although clean was small one-single room where the conduct the lash applications and perform the administration of the service. I guess it would not be so bad but on my arrival the place was packed! My heart sank because I could see there was obviously some overbooking. Lo and behold after completing the registration the manager breaks it to me that there will be a wait. I had to wait a little over half hour after my scheduled appointment. Then, when I finally recline on the bed due to area having a lots of folks and people coming in to learn of all the delays, I can constantly hear all this conversation right in my ear. Plus, the manager being very anxious and frequently coming over to speak to the technician during my application, I felt she was rushing along; and although 50 lashes would be a shorter application time the a duller set the @ 30 minutes seemed unusually quick to me, In short, proof is in details as it now 6 days out and I have lost half of the lashes on my right eye! I wish this was a more positive review, but after two very stressful attempts to do my eyelashes here, I gave up. The manager and technicians are nice and helpful. However, they do not explain their products or the result of their work. The first time I asked for a natural set of lashes and I was left looking like Little Kim. When I expressed my concern to the manager, he wanted me to tell him how to fix it. They finally made it look a little better and that was it (3 hours later laying down with your lower lids taped! ) They are supposed to write your 'eyelash prescription' in a business card which I brought the second time hoping to get it right at once. In spite of the card, I was once again left with Walgreen looking eyelashes and asked 'how do you want to fix it' I go to professional places to be guided and helped with their products, not to tell them ' How to fix it' In light of my frustration, I walked out with my Walgreens look and had to find another place to remove them. If you are new to this place, I highly recommend understanding their lash products BEFORE HAND to avoid the wrong look, stress or frustration. As a huge JJ eyelash loyalist, I went astray when my girlfriend purchased a groupon gift for an 80 piece full mink lash set for me and insisted it was the best. I knew right off the bat I wanted to upgrade to the 110 full set, which wasn't an issue and was just a minor additional cost (maybe $30?) I must say in a nut shell....it met every expectation and more. This intimate lash salon deserves 5+ stars and more. My experience: Upon arrival, the request to see your ID to match your groupon and then a technician consults with you about the look and style you want to achieve from the extensions. They are extremely knowledgable and offer their advice. But since I've been consistently getting my lashes done for years I knew exactly what I wanted...right down to the length and curl. I guess you can say I have a slight lash-extension snobbery and am very particular. But again they really came through on every end. They had one girl prep my eyes and then the actual technician comes over to do the extensions. Very efficient ! Overall give or take about an hour and a half for them to apply a new 110 set. Results: The lashes came out beyond beautiful. There was no spacing between the lid and the extension. The extensions were done with great precision and artistry. The most important part of the whole process is not always the look but the longevity of the extensions. These babies looked amazing and full for me for almost 6 weeks before I thought about another touch up. To give you an idea, I normally go every 3 weeks for a touch up at JJ to maintain that full look but there was really no need to when I got them done at eyelovelash. Last but not least...eyelovelash isn't cheap, it's about $90 for a 3 week touch up and then from there it jumps to $150 for a 110 full new set. Trust me...it's worth it and you get what you pay for. It's the best place in the city. OH!!! They also recommend this collagen lash mascara that helps nourish your lashes and extensions...ABSOLUTELY GET IT!! I am aware of the care instructions for my lashes but unfortunately within 24 hours of getting them done, I've cried (watching those darn sad FB videos --couldn't avoid it!) and sweated from a kickboxing class the following afternoon. Since, groupon and living social are sold out of their deals for 160 lashes, I ended up purchasing the yelp deal (30% off for new customers). I texted the number from their website and received an immediate response. They answered my questions (I asked if I can go from 160 new set to 80 for my next refills. I wanted to start off with a more dramatic look while I go on holiday and when I come back for a refill, I would want something more natural. They said that's fine.) What's even better was that they were able to book a same day appointment within hours. I told them what I wanted (more curl and length). I've gone to other places where the lashes were long but they weren't noticeable. They suggested to get "sexy gorgeous" and the end result is exactly what I was looking for! They are definitely noticeable and once I left Eyelovelash, I received compliments asking if my lashes were real. (LOL) The only thing that slightly bothered me was someone blasting her music through her headphones, I could hear it from across the room. Initially went here after buying a Lifebooker deal for 80 piece mink lashes, and have been coming back for refills on refills on refills (when needed of course). Never really understood the hype of lash extensions, but they have made me a believer. As an Asian actress/TV host, having lash extensions make all difference on camera. Not to mention, the time I save not having to curl and coat on 3 different mascaras to lengthen, thicken and separate. Lash extensions do it all. The great staff at EyeLoveLash always squeeze me in last minute, which is amazing. Lashes always come out looking gorgeous, full, even, and best of, all long lasting. They recently just moved to a new location. The facility is big, clean and peaceful. A friend recommended this place as she went through a deal on groupon. I saw her lashes and liked it and decided to go here too. Upon arrival, I was asked what look and length I wanted. For someone who doesn't do their lashes often, I had no idea what style, look or length I wanted. I told her I wanted something natural, curly and a bit long. She didn't explain to me what was curly or natural or what length would be good. It's a bit more comforting when you get some kind of advice or tip as to what would look good on you. Don't expect that here. If you know exactly what you want, and just wanna get in and out, then this place is for you. The place where they do your lashes is in a small room. About 12 beds all placed side by side. A little weird, but what I guess that's expected in NYC. It felt like an assembly line almost. My lashes came out ok. I got the 80 piece mink. It doesn't look super full like I wanted. It also doesn't look like 80 pieces. Not sure if I'd return. There's another place in the lower east side that I usually go to, a Japanese salon. Service: ONE week touch up of original 110 w/premium silk lashes Price: $109 Interactions: Jay - The Manager Vivian - Title Unknown I came in for a one week touch up because I inadvertently got my lashes wet. The original technician did a fine job but below are my issues. Vivian took over for the original person assigned to me because apparently it was taking too long and there was a new appointment she needed to attend. No one told me there was a switch but I knew due to the amount of heavy sighing and rough handling. When Vivian was done she gave me a pretty strong push to the back to get up in a dismissive manner and I let her know my eye was burning which she didn't seem to care about. It was clear her objection was to get me out of the bed, clearly I had overstayed my welcome. When they told me the total was $109 for a week touch up I asked what that included and was told it was +$40 for the premium silk lashes. This makes no sense since you are originally charged +$40 when you're getting all 110 of your premium lashes but one week later you are getting considerably less but still paying +$40. There is no sliding scale, the initial installation and any touch up thereafter is +$40 which is unfair to the customer. Oddly, the pricing discourages customers from coming in for frequent touch ups. Vivian did not understand my point and kept saying PREMIUM and showing me the price chart as if I had a comprehension problem. This is in no way a post about disclosure as they made their prices clear from the start. Just thought I would share since I didn't take notice until my first touch up. Jay, the manger, was open to listening and after some back and forth understood my point. He said he would bring this point up to the manager. Jay did a great job listening and making me feel heard. My lashes looked great the first time but don't look the same after a one week touch up. I asked for "sexy" but the lashes on the outside corner are too short to achieve the look. I purchased the 160 Mink Lashes for my wedding on 10/12/2014 and they did a FANTASTIC job. My makeup artist was extremely impressed. The lashes lasted for 4 weeks. This was my first time getting them from here and I was a bit nervous, but she did an amazing job. They go over the various options available to you and they help give you an idea of how they'll look based on the look you want, eyes, etc. What I am thrilled about is that my own eyelashes did not come out!!!!
