Walked in, it was busy. Not a big deal. We picked glasses on our own. A sales person came over. We went to her desk, she informed us of HER choices. Ran back to check if they had the prescription, while she was gone I had a minute to think (she was pushy didn't give us a second to think) I told her we did not need want she suggested. She got up very rude, rolled her eyes and went to change HER options. Not ours, her commission options. No special prescription very basic. Never once was I told I was paying for a warranty which is $30 extra. I only noticed when I got home. I'm disgusted by the service. The employee was like a used car salesman. Rude, did not help us finding the frames just worried about HER commission. Disgusting. Will never return. I'm sure that won't matter but I hope this review deters others read more

Beware of upselling. They add on things you did not ask for, nor need. This has happened to me twice now & I am really glad I questioned the charges. Staff is nice enough, until I question the charges & asked to have what I didn't ask for removed. Then I get push back & attitude. read more

I recently visited your Medford, Oregon location because I wanted to see the glasses in person before placing an order online. Like many customers, I believe it's important to try on eyewear before making a purchase. However, when I arrived, I was informed that the store has no connection to the online shop and couldn't assist me in any way. I drove 45 miles to the store only to learn this, which was very frustrating. If your company is going to send out coupons or promotions by mail, I strongly suggest making it explicitly clear--either on the flyer or your website--that the physical locations are not affiliated with the online store. The current approach is confusing and misleading for consumers. read more

Just wow. I know I went in there at the end of the day, but my first time in there and the staff person was not welcoming at all. I went to glasses desk first for my DR appt since I did t know where the Dr was and they treated me like an idiot. The Dr told me I had a terrible prescription and gave me some coke bottle lenses that I still have never used. Still using my previous prescription from an eye Dr in Portland that was awesome! Then after I get the crazy script, I have to go back to the glasses desk, and I already forgot the name of my insurance because my employer provided insurance is really nuanced and again the glasses desk staff treated me like an idiot. At the end of it all, they did say something about it being the end of the day and they really seemed to be having a rough go. That moment is the only reason they get 2 stars. I spent $200 with my own decent insurance for glasses I will use in maybe 10 years when my vision deteriorates to basically blind. - written using the old script *reading* glasses from 2022. read more

After them failing to make ANY glasses that were correct in at least twenty attempts, I finally got a pair that at least I could see out of. Then the dark glasses got a crack and the coating is flaking off. They then said that I had used up my warranty privilege because of all of their failed attempts. Those "attempts" were so bad that I couldn't even stand up, much less walk anywhere - the glasses were not even close. Their product is terrible, as is their customer service. The manager in Medford handled everything for me over the phone and when I had car trouble and couldn't drive up to get them, he overnighted them to me as well! I have been seeing Dr. Mullins for quite awhile & he has made alot of money from me.. I went to him today for an emergency I was seeing flashing lights & read that it could be a possible Retina detachment & you can lose your eye.. !!! Not an insignificant Matter..!!! I just wanted him to spend 5 min to look at my eye since it was Saturday to give me some peace of mind..Until I could go to another office Monday... He said "No I Won"t I"m my fully Booked despite not one person waiting in the office..!! Then he said its my Lunch & you can to Urgent Care for Retina Surgery.. Are you Kidding me.. Then he & the Office girls tried to refer me to two different offices they assured me I could get in.. So I called & both were closed.. Unbelievably Uncaring, Rigid, Lazy & Uncompassionate.. All I wanted was 5 min.. A little decency would have gone a long way.. Sadly not to be found here... Please Steer Clear of this Vacuous Man.. I always had a bad feeling about him. I got there a little after 10 a.m. and had my eye exam and was sitting in a booth at Texas Steak House when a text arrived at 11:52 Telling me both pair of glasses were finished and that it had taken only 29 minutes to make them. Unfortunately, it was all untrue. I got to back to Eyemart Express approximately 10 minutes later and neither pair were finished. When I went in and asked for my glasses the girl behind the counter looked and then asked me if I had received a text. Another 15 minutes before the first pair were finished. I received the second pair at about 1 p.m. The 50% off coupon they sent me via email didn't extend to the two pair pricing and was worthless. This level of frustration and the amount of time it took is unacceptable. I can do better. read more

I'm a long-time customer who has bought several pairs of glasses from Eyemart Express. They appear to have decided that customers' time doesn't matter, because they're severely understaffed. I waited 25 minutes yesterday afternoon before just wallking (I was still 3 down on the wait list). I went in right after they opened this morning, only to wait another 25 minutes as one staff member served one customer. There were two employees having a nice old chat on the optometrist side--apparently cross-training is not a thing at Eyemart Express. I left and won't be coming back. read more

So while I was sitting in the lobby waiting in Eyemart Express I listened to an employee say how she's so tired of dealing with so many stupid morons and how she can't believe how stupid people are etc... then her and another employee started having conversations about how their cats 'shit' everywhere and how it 'f'ng sucked. Well my week turned bad. Tuesday my glasses broke in half. This is what I deserve waiting too long to get new ones and I am due for a exam. I couldn't find anyone to examine me on short notice and buy glasses but I eventually found Eyemart Express. Previously used them in 2007 and received excellent service from the optometrist and nice (but expensive) cheap plastic glasses. I went elsewhere since then because Eyemart does not have the newest equipment that utilizes a high speed camera. Therefore each time I visit Eyemart Express they have to dilute my eyes which is an inconvenience and causes me to delay or call off work because it takes half a day for my eyes to return to normal. I was able to get in Thursday morning and the optometrist is still very professional and friendly. Unfortunately diluted my eyes again but it was quick and easy exam. Once done I went to the service area to pick the cheapest ones available since my insurance covers very little. The gentleman at first seemed to be steering me towards expensive glasses because of fit, I explained my situation and he took a look at options and was able to get me two glasses with polycarbonate lenses. One standard and one sunglasses with polarized and anti glare lenses. He gave me the price with insurance and without and it was obvious the glasses are cheaper without insurance. I went that route and had the pair within two hours to be able to go back to work same day. Very happy and satisfied experience. I may go back and get another pair with anti glare for night driving because newer cars and new bulbs for headlights are designed to be much brighter and cause more glare especially when people are driving with high beams on more without respect to the drivers coming from the other direction. Overall satisfied experience with Eyemart Express and I recommend them. read more

Jeff, the general manager went above and beyond to help with both with my husbands broken glasses and mine which I learned from Jeff after asking if he could adjust them that they happened to be cracked. He replaced them with another pair of glasses and help me with getting all the discounts that he could give and I was thrill! Especially because walking in, I was not prepared to buy a new pair for myself. My husband and I have been going there for years now and will continue and highly recommend them. I want to give my thanks to Lindsey, who helped me adjust my eye glass frame, which nobody else can fix the problem for long time. Whenever other professionals from other eyeglass stores tried to adjust it, problem got worse. But Lindsey is a real expert of adjusting frames, just a few minutes, the problem was gone. My wife and I went to the Traverse City Mi. Store On Thursday Sept.17. Besides my wife's eye examination which she said was excellent and very professional ,our experience there was not good at all. We were constantly steered to the high priced frames, and when I told the rep. I wanted to simply put new lenses into my old frames,she said she"didn't recommend doing that." So, I tried to choose rather inexpensive frames but was always steered to frames priced around $100 dollars. After I had finally found frames that suited me, in my price range, the rep.said I would have to purchase the more expensive poly carbonate lenses because "my prescription had changed so much". She showed me plastic lenses that were about 1/4" thick!! Another rep came out with a pair of glasses he said were his old ones with lenses that were super thick to show me what I would wind up with. I was told when I had my eyes examined that my prescription "didn't change that much" by the Dr. who did the examination. I felt I was being taken advantage of, and told the rep. I didn't want the glasses. Mt wife's experience (outside of her eye exam which was great) was equally as bad.The rep. kept entering her info over and over into the computer I think , to keep us there to confuse us. We were there for two hours already. The rep. quoted my wife a price of $90.00 for just lenses for her old frames.She declined because her prescription didn't change that much. My wife did purchase prescription sunglasses finally. During the time the rep. was dealing with my wife, she kept trying to sell her the "protection plus" plan which she didn't want. She did want UV protection. Somehow she got the 'protection plus" plan instead which, as far as we can tell does not have the UV protection included. The rep. also wouldn't show my wife the charges on the computer as she was entering them. She said "you will see them on the receipt." She also kept losing them and/or changing them as she entered them into the computer. All in all I think we were being taken advantage of by Eyemart Express because we are seniors. Both of us had purchased glasses from this store about four years ago and had a great experience there. Dr. Mullins was not personable AT ALL. No small talk, not even a "how are you?". I tried to make a joke to lighten the mood during my eye exam and he just ignored it and kept going through his questions. I would like to give him the benefit of the doubt and hope he was just having a bad day, but I feel like he's just not a very nice person. If you just want a RX, nothing else then I would recommend going to him. If you have any questions or problems, go somewhere else to someone that actually cares about their patients. read more

Avoid this place. They did not keep any of the promises they made (to call, when the glasses would be done, texting an update, etc.), but worse, we paid for high index lenses and when they finally arrived a week late, one was high index lens and one was regular. It was obvious that one was over twice as thick as the other so they had to have known that they made a mistake, but they still fit them to my wife and sent her home with them. A day later when one side of her face started hurting, we looked at the glasses and were stunned. We went back in and they played dumb. They offered to replace it with normal lens or we could wait another two weeks for what we paid for. Since they had lied to us so many times we weren't sure if they would even give us the correct prescription, so we asked them to refund our money. read more

I bought two pairs of glasses from this business almost a year ago. The first were prescription polarized sunglasses. I made sure that they were covered in case of scratches and the saleswoman assured me that they were because it was "part of the package" and that all I would have to do is bring them back. This turned out to be a bold faced lie. When I took them back to fix a scratch they said that it was not part of the package. The saleslady and I spent quite a bit of time discussing this specifically and she said the warrenty was part of the package. Anything to get a sale out the door I guess. The second pair were bought at the same time and they never really worked right. Being new to glasses I though the prescription was wrong. I took them to the eye doctor and she said they put the right perscription in but that they should have known the frame would be too narrow for that and that I would need to buy larger frames as they were bifocals. These folks just want to sell the product, the after care and warrenty is a joke. Don't waste your money on them! read more

Stay away!!!!!!!!! I bought a pair of glasses here less than 1-1/2 years ago. One of the lenses is delaminating (showing bubbles in the lens) and these jokers will do nothing about it! They accused me of using chemicals on them, leaving them in a hot car, etc etc - none of which was true! My wife purchased a pair of glasses just before Christmas and wore them for one day. She contacted Eyemart Express and wanted to return them for a refund. Margie the manager at Eyemart Express said she could return them for a credit but if she requests a cash refund she may never order glasses from them again. Well, this is definitely the type of business everyone should avoid. No refunds for poor quality, and a threat that a person may no longer do business with them? Margie said this was company policy. One star rating is very generous but there is no zero star option. Try Costco for your eyewear. There are no hidden expenses or surprises. Refund received via mail on 1/4/2016. It seems that the store in which we spent the money should have the ability to refund at the time we returned the merchandise. Don't worry Margie you will not have to worry about refusing any future purchases from us. We will never enter your place of business again. You should be fired for your threats. According to your cooperate office refusing future purchases is NOT company policy. read more

I found the customer service to be good. from my experience. read below details. I read all the reviews and we still decided to go and check their selection after calling around for pricing. My husband needed safety glasses for his construction work. They had a good selection for him and the prices were ok.$118 a pair. (bifocal) he is very happy with his. I ordered my progressive glasses and a second pair for sunglasses. After getting home and reconsidering my purchases I wasn't that happy with my decision. we had been told no refunds only exchange for another pair if not happy. This was on a sat. on Tuesday I called back asked for manager Margie I told her I wasn't happy with my choices and was sending my husband in that afternoon for a refund on our visa. She said that was ok, and offered me an upgrade if I wanted to keep the business there but said I needed time to rethink. he went into the store and got a full credit to our account. read more

My gosh, I'm so sorry I ever considered those guys! LOTS of waiting at their store, they won't take appointments and you are taking your chances. The employees also obviously don't give a hoot as to how long you are waiting and a fair share of them show a fair amount of surly attitude. They are understaffed most of the time and to accommodate this issue, some days they create a waiting list, but some days they don't. I had gone to Costco for my first pair of progressive trifocals but EyeMart has a better selection of frames and I decided to give them a try when it was time to renew. (EyeMart's lenses ended up being 20% more expensive, by the way, while frames are about comparable in price) I did my eye exam on the premises, then waited in line for the next available personnel to fit my glasses, and was told to come back two hrs later. I did but it took one more hour than promised. (The waiting time was starting to add up!) It was obvious right away that the lenses were not right but I was told to give my eyes a bit of time to adapt to the new prescription, so I did. Many hours, days and headaches later, I went back to the store. They tried to adjust the frame but it was obvious the lenses were not properly centered and the two employees I dealt with (although I must say DID try many adjustments) wouldn't take my word for it and assured me their product was perfect. I was told another $40 for readjustment (I forgot the exact term) should take care of the issue but of course I refused. They said they would try to readjust the lenses at no charge and I said that by then I'd ask for my money back if the glasses were less than perfect. I was told it would not be a problem. Three weeks later (!) I finally get a call and my glasses are ready. As soon as I tried them on it was obvious there was nothing new and so I asked for my money back. (By then I had been waiting yet another hour in the store-which is 30 minutes driving from where I live.) There does not seem to be a real person in charge in there, but the "powers that be anyway" had me wait another 30 minutes while they were "checking for a few more things" and "going through their protocol", while assuring me once again that there was nothing wrong with their product. In the end I started to become quite annoyed at the waiting and demanded to talk right away to the technician who was making me wait. The young lady responded with major attitude and when I reminded her that I am the costumer and that I was wasting my time because of their non-standard product she became confrontative. Fortunately by then the technician came out and avoided an escalation of unpleasantness. I repeated (for the fourth time!) that I wanted my money back right away. He said he could not do it that way and assured me it will be done by phone tomorrow, no need to come back to the store. I'm calling my credit card company in the meantime, just in case because I do not trust that things will be resolved that easily. I strongly recommend everyone to avoid shopping there. I am calling their 800 number to complain and I will not sugar-coat it. I must say that it has been a very long time since I have seen such lousy costumer service and I'm hoping more dissatisfied costumers (there were others in the store at the time I was there) will post their impressions and make the company realize they need a major readjustment in the way they treat their costumers. read more

They have a great selection of frames and I can bring in my own sunglasses frames and they have always done a great job giving me the gradient tint that i like so much!
