Three to four weeks without glasses, and now we have to wait longer due to some idiot not doing their job right the first time. She got up very rude, rolled her eyes and went to change HER options. Not ours, her commission options. No special prescription very basic. Never once was I told I was paying for a warranty which is $30 extra. I only noticed when I got home. I'm disgusted by the service. The employee was like a used car salesman. Today I had the most extensive and thorough exam I've ever had! Dr. Brown takes his time during the exam to make sure you are comfortable, not rushed and that you understand exactly what is going on. I was shown the photographic images of my eyes as he explained what we were seeing. I have some issues with my retinas that he was able to show me where, and what was happening with them. He was reassuring to me as I had concerns from a prior diagnosis done at a large local eye center where I felt "herded" through and dismissed. This office is so kind, personal and caring. Raylee was working and she explained that she would try but if they broke I would need to order a new frame. I was so worried because my Mom can only see out of one eye now and Visionworks had put a special lens in these glasses because she's color blind in the good eye. She needs them to see at all. Raylee took her time and was able to straighten them and she also put new nose pads on them. When she gave the repaired glasses back to me in a new case I started to cry. Because there are two Yelp listings for the same practice, I want to begin by pointing out that…read morethis is the same as Dr. Kenneth Loftus' practice. I want to add a full-throated endorsement of Dr. Loftus' abilities and professional manner. I have a long history of being disappointed at the optometrist's because I have a difficult prescription. Even if they get it right, the lenses often come back with issues that make them unusable. This has become especially problematic in the past 15 or so years, with all the new new materials they use to slim down lens thicknesses. I had several visits with Dr. Loftus, both for a new eyeglass prescription and for new contacts. I just received my eyeglasses yesterday and they're PERFECT. It's been a long time since I got good lenses on the first go and I am really enjoying them. Additionally, I'd like to mention that the office staff are competent, efficient and friendly. I opted to bring in my old Dunhill frames for my new lenses. This was not a problem either! The lens makers did a good job - they're not metal frames and could have easily cracked as they're over 30 years old - well... they're just fine too and I am wearing them now. Just like old times. Now I get to look just like I did in the 80s! Well, not really, but I can't blame Dr. Loftus for that. See Dr. Loftus and you will see better!

The two front office women (dawn and the Jeanine) are so accommodating! I called looking to get in…read moresame day but not expecting them to be able to see me and to my surprise they worked me in!!!! I had surgery a couple weeks ago with a different surgeon and was having major pain everytime I blinked it felt like sand was in my eye. I had to bring my two little guys, 2yrs & 5yrs old so it was chaotic. The staff gave them both new toys to play with while I was being seen and were so kind. Then I was seen by Dr. Epstein and he was so thorough even tho he wasnt the one who had done my eyelid surgery originally. He did a quick painless procedure with post instruction on how to keep my eyelids healthy and stye free and instantly my eye felt better. I am so grateful for finding this gem! One of the staff members recommended a beautiful park in downtown Ashland and was so wonderful. Great experience. Hope I don't have to go back but recommend everyone using them. Caring, experienced, efficient and kind dream team.

The billing department was dishonest and misleading about billing during scheduling of my appointment, arriving for my appointment and leaving after my appointment--I asked numerous times and they were deceptive. Prior to the appointment, I told the billing department my insurance would not pay for an eye exam, as I know my insurance well, and they assured me the insurance would pay for the exam but not the refraction. Two weeks after the appointment, I received a bill for the entire service. The Siskiyou Eye Center is a perfect example of what is wrong with healthcare--you are a $$$ to them. Avoid this place, especially with so many other great choices in the Rogue Valley, like Artisan Eyeworks in Ashland or Medical Eye Center in Medford--they are professional and honest about services and billing.
