Eyers Hitch Center at 3473 El Camino Real, Santa Clara, CA 95051 has been around for many years. Recently, I decided to get a class 3 hitch installed on my 2011 Crown Victoria with a trailer plug. Several people I know recommended Eyers. Yelp had great reviews except for a few that seemed to be unwarranted. I wanted a one stop shop that would supply the hitch, accessories, and professional installation. So I call up and talk to Cecil on Tuesday, tells me everything I need and orders the hitch, after putting my credit card down as a deposit. Thursday the parts came in and he was ready to install. I made an appointment for Friday, 10 AM, which I kept. Upon arrival, they took the car and it was done by 11 AM. I was really surprised, considering the tech had to drill 4 holes through the thick panther frame. It was a very professional install that looked great. The price was very fair and at no time did Cecil or the staff try to upsell me. Cecil gave me the impression that Eyers is a very honest and fair business. I always meant to come back to write these guys a great review. I had an extremely down to earth experience at the Eyers exactly one year ago around Aug 2022 before labor day weekend. They treated me with utmost honesty. They first quoted a higher number over the phone to fit me with a hitch, but ended up charging me a very honest rate. It was rather simple, but for someone like me who is getting his hitch the first time, it's a lot of help (and much less stressful) to have a professional just handhold you. They helped me with finding/installing the right hitch, the ball, tested the turn signals; and saved me money by telling me to directly go to VW dealer down the road to purcahse the turn signal connectors. I had them install a hitch on a 2015 Chrysler Town & Country. They gave me quote very quickly and got the hitch order for the next day which I consider very fast. The price was great, and all this made me choose them to install the hitch. Also, the work was done quickly with no delay. Great so far. I didn't notice at first, but the hitch pushes the rare pamper up so much that the parking sensors behavior changed to more sensitive. I called them up and described the situation, but they insisted me to come and show the situation. They examined the situation and said they'll take it back, cut into the pamper or leave it as is. I wanted to know what the manufacturing company says how this should be done, but they refused to consult with them or the manual. They installed the hitch in a wrong way based on the documentation. I decided to leave it as is as I don't want any cut in to the pamper and I got used to the way the parking sensor work now. I was very hesitant to get a hitch installed on my new 2022 GLC300. I researched many places and I was losing confidence that I would find a shop that was reliable, local, and I felt I could trust. Then I called Eyers Hitch Center. Cecil answered the phone and he patiently answered my questions and was very truthful with me. For instance, he charged me 10% more for him ordering the Stealth Hitch whereas everyone else quoted me the product cost price. I was a bit surprised but he said "I got a run a business." So I needed to find a solution for installing a hitch on my 2020 BMW X5 that would NOT conflict with the "kick open rear door" functionality, and NOT be visible when I was not mounting my hitch bike rack or cargo carrier. I chose the Stealth Hitch, which happens to be one of the hitch types that Eyers Hitch Center offers. Note that I checked out a 1/2 dozen shops that presumably installed stealth hitches. NONE of the other shops made me feel like they would take good care of my SUV (The other shops were dirty, didn't have a car lift, didn't even have an "official" customer waiting space. Cecil and Family here are awesome. I called to see if they had a tow hitch in-stock for my Forester. I figured they wouldn't due to supply chain shortages and that was the case. Cecil did take down my number and called me back less than 5 minutes later saying he could have one the following week. Less than a week later he called me and said it arrived. I made an appointment for 8:30 AM the next day. The next day I showed up a little early, maybe 15 minutes or so, and the door was unlocked and they were setting up for the day. Walked in and was welcomed by Cecil (even though they were not even open yet) and he helped me right away. His son took the keys to my car while I filled out some paperwork. They installed the hitch VERY QUICKLY, by the time I sat down and started checking emails, they were done. I don't want to quote a time, as this may not always be the case, but I am sure they install a ton of Subaru Hitches and knew exactly what needed to be done and did it right and fast.
