Lots of universal items like oil, anti-freeze, hose clamps & all the maintenance stuff you need. They also have an in-house inventory of various vehicles. They often have parts for my mid 90's van & Jeep but not always BUT what they don't have in stock they can usually get in a couple hours. Service is usually wuick & mostly friendly. I like to check here first to support small, privately owned business plus it reminds me of 60's/70's parts stores i used to visit with dad when i was 10. I do have a sour taste since they gouged me on snow chains a couple years ago when we were heading to the Sierras and they knew everyone else was sold out... $180 plus tax for rear chains?? I only discovered A & M a few weeks ago after a mechanic recommended them. What a cool old world, helpful asset for us old car buffs. They were able to provide the three important but inexpensive parts for me in quick order. Today, I called looking for one 1960's Chrysler left side lug nut and Dennis told me it was no longer available new. He checked further, called back and told me there is ONE on eBay and so ... I happened on this auto supply store when I was in need of a light bulb for my turn signals. I was instantly created by one of the original owners who is incredibly knowledgeable. He helped me with my parts needs and answered questions for me. He also helped check something to find out exactly what I needed. In our conversation he recommended a mechanic at Bobs Garage as I was really looking for someone with a good business ethic to work on my car. I'm kind of over the businesses that have many locations. Well, not only do I now have a new mechanic who is awesome at Bobs, but I will drive the distance to get my auto parts needs from this automotive store. I feel like I stepped back into a season where integrity and trust are the top factors of businesses and that I know I will be cared for as a customer the way we all hope for. Never noticed this store at this location before. It definitely beats the well-known chains. I came here to get a new battery. Auto stuff is not my strong suit and let's just say that I needed help. Ian was great, he checked up on me as I changed the battery and made sure that everything went smoothly. The thing that felt off was that they charged $40 ($50 with a "discount") for a "computer reset" and to "change the date" which took a minute and seemed like a sales gimmick. read more

Old school type of place. They saved me money, I was about to buy new brake rotors but was told to bring my old ones in first. They measured the old rotors and they could be resurfaced. All new bearings and seals and greased ready to go at a reasonable price. My go to place for this type of work from now on. read more

We bought a used car, and of course within a few days the plastic wheel well parts start to come loose. I really hate those things because you can never find the right clips or bolts or whatever. I walk into A&M and describe the problem. They hand me a plastic push bolt that snaps shut in the hole. It's too big. They hand me a second one. It's perfect. I buy 10 of each size. He asks if I need wiper blades. Normally I resist the upsell, but the car did need wiper blades and his price was reasonable. I buy them, and start looking at the huge selection of cool stuff while he disappears into the back. After five minutes, I realize time is short and say, "I need to get going now." He says, "I already installed your wiper blades." Patronize this store! read more

Red is the BOMB. He helped us many a times with 2 seperate motors in 2 seperate 70 something ford pickups. Both were pretty tatered to begin with and Red helped machine and get these babies to actually RUN. Given in both instances Red said, "I give you 25K max on these engines" and..... he was right. They were more than even the Red magic could restore. Alas, we got 50K out of garbage thanks to this man. The guys behind the counter are a riot and know their sh--tuff. If they don't have it, they can order it. If they can't order it, you probably made the thing up anyhow. Honestly, if you needs parts or knowledge, give these guys a shot. They have excellent stock. My dealership recommended them as no other local places had the right size snow cables. Robert was very cordial on the phone, was willing to hold the cables for me, and accommodated my work schedule by agreeing to meet me a half hour before they opened. He even called me the evening before to confirm. Ian showed up even earlier. He called my dealership to confirm info about my RWD and did an excellent demo on how to install. I also own a Jag XJS V12 and A&M has provided accurate advice/parts for my Jag, My family owns 4 Jeeps, a BMW, a couple of boats - I go to A&M. In the late 70s Duane, personally, re-built a bearing on my Pinto alternator , while I waited one dark evening, so I could commute to my job the next morning in San Francisco. As part of the restoration of my grandfather's beloved 1930 Model A, I was referred to A&M to have the original front steel drums turned. After doing a great job on the delicate drums, I decided to have them clean the rear drums and brake shoes in the hot tank and give them a quick once over in the glass bead cleaner. To be honest I was hoping that the 80 year old parts would look marginally better as to save me a few hours of grunt work scrubbing them by hand. Imagine my surprise when I picked them up the following day and they were spotless. I mean show quality/Concours spotless and ready for primer and paint. Further, while I was in there, I was the only customer that they weren't on a first name basis with. A real gem of a place in a world full of O'Reilly's & AutoZones. read more
