He thoroughly removed the ultimate and other broken tiles and replaced it with new ones. He completed the job in a reasonable amount of time and the finished product was amazing. No cutting corners and he even explained why he thinks the tiles cracked/came loose. We are so grateful to have found him. He told us that he actually specializes in bathrooms and showers, which is going to be our next project so we will definitely be reaching out to him when we are ready to tackle that. He is insured as well and works with a partner who does the tub install so him and his partner can do everything from start to finish when it comes to bathroom remodeling. So thankful we found Jamen and EZ Tile & Stone! We had a smaller tile job, so wasn't sure who would be willing to take something like that on, but Jamen came through!! We recently removed a built-in and remodeled our fireplace, so the tiles around that area needed repairing/replacing. Jamen's quote was super reasonable, and once we confirmed the bid, he found us a start date right away. Jamen confirmed that one of his crew would be coming to do the job. His guy - Paolo - came punctually on the agreed upon time, explained the process, and did an awesome job repairing our tile!! Not only did he work quickly and efficiently, but he worked meticulously and made sure not to damage any existing tile. The first day took from about 9-1:30 pm to demo, cut, and set new tile. The second day he came back to do the grout (took less than an hour). Paolo explained that they wanted to make sure the tile was set/dry before grouting so that the grout color didn't blend into wet tileset color (which was white). Still a 5 Star+ experience, I was shopping around to have my master bathroom redone and James did an excellent job with my backsplash so I gave him a call and sent pictures of what I have and what I wanted done and he was able to give me a very competitive price for exactly what I wanted. James had great suggestions on how to lay out the glass tile and position the shampoo box. During the process I was able to watch them do step by step everything from the hardy backer to the hot mop to the plumbing and all the finish work and they put in a lot of hours in a small bathroom to make it look great. Just for comparison the guys selling the 1-2 day showers with all acrylic panels, etc, were an eye watering high price for just plastic walls. Not sure how this business receives a 4.9 star average review because that was not my experience. I contacted Jamen to do a small tile cutting job in our kitchen. At first he replied quickly and then it took a while to get a quote. Several more texts followed by me trying to get on the schedule. Nothing wrong with that. He's busy. He kept saying he would get back to me. Over the next few days I had to keep texting him to try and pin down a day and time. Finally, on a Thursday I had to text him "Hello. I don't want to keep bothering you, but am I going to be able to get on your schedule or not? Reply: "Early Saturday morning. 7:30 to 8 arrival time." I accepted. On Friday evening, my gut feeling told me to confirm the appointment. At 8pm I texted to confirm. No reply. I set my alarm early just in case he did plan on keeping the appointment. Saturday morning 7am I still had no confirmation so I called. Voicemail mailbox was full. Couldn't leave a message. I texted one last time to see if he was still planning on keeping the appointment. Never heard back. Ghosted. I see another reviewer had the same experience. James may have a lot of talent doing tile work. (I never got the chance to find out). What I DO know is that he has poor communication with customers and does not know how to run a professional business. Hope you have better luck if you decide to call him. read more

We had a small tile job for one of the bathrooms. We had a leaky toilet and the plumber had to cut through the tile and brick and wood flooring to fix the leak. After the leak was fixed we needed to reinstall the tiles so that the plumber could put the toilet back on. EZ Tile gave us one of the more reasonable quotes and they were easy to schedule and prompt as well. They did a professional job also getting everything perfectly flat so that we could get the toilet set back into place. I didn't think it was going to be easy for them to get it flat since it was a pretty rough cement and brick floor with jagged edges but they did it in under a couple of hours. Jamen completed our kitchen backsplash a year and a half ago and I still look at it everyday and think how great of a job he did. Jamen has great communication and excellent work. After having some bad tiling work done in the past I can really appreciate his attention to detail and quality of work. He really takes his time to make sure everything is centered and you don't have a tiny sliver of tile at the end. The first day Jamen laid down the tile and the 2nd day he came back to grout. After he left the first day I realized I wanted him to add more tile in another area of the kitchen. He happily made the accommodation even though it mean bringing back all his machinery again. After he grouted I realized some of the tile variation was too similar in one spot and asked if he could re-do that section and he happily came back again. I should have caught it before he left but didn't notice it and he said it was no problem at all. Jamen was so professional and it was a great experience working with him and he will be my tile guy going forward! I scheduled installation with Jamen about 30 days in advance as I needed time to order the tile and new doors for the fireplace. Three days before our scheduled appointment, I reached out to Jamen to confirm his arrival time and was completely ghosted - both texts and phone calls went unanswered. After 3 days, I finally reached him by phone (on the day the install was to have taken place) and he said he had an emergency but would get back to me in in a few hours with a rescheduled date. It's now been 3 days and haven't heard from him. This project was a Christmas gift to my son. I now have over $400 in tile sitting in my garage. I understand that things happen but Jamen has made no effort to remedy this situation and has no concern for his clients. Jamen helped us with the subway kitchen tiles. He is very friendly and organized. His work is great and professional. It's not a big project, and there are lot of outlets in the area, but he treated them with extra care and cut all the tiles nicely around the outlet.
