After our wood plank flooring was completed, we had some issues with a leak, and this is where she truly went above and beyond. A lot of companies would have simply said, "That's not our issue," and moved on, but Robin did the opposite. She worked hand in hand with us, helped troubleshoot, delegated to the right people on her team, and made us feel like she was genuinely trying to solve the problem with us. Her responses were incredibly quick, even on her days off, and that level of care is rare. Sterling already earned our business with their quality work and efficiency, but Robin is the reason we will be customers for life. I can't be more grateful for the way she handled everything.

The finish on the floor was novice level work. Heavy tooling marks all over, smeared stain, splattered topcoat. That was my reason for the C-. Within a week many of the boards have detached and come up. I've also noticed: huge sections of the flooring were never fastened; the sanding is so bad that it's visibly lumpy in several areas; there are large gaps that were not filled and stained properly. And to top it off they had the highest quote of the bunch. The people working there are nice and pleasant, and very responsive. They offered to come back and redo it. But given the range and severity of problems I did not trust them to do further work. All around a complete waste of my time and money.

First impression meeting with Rafi was good. Unfortunately it just went downhill from there. The…read morefirst team who did our floor and stairs seemed to be professional as well. We did feel 12 bags of self leveling concrete was excessive when it looked like it was only used on a few corners of the room in a job less than 900 sq feet. Unfortunately one of the stair nosing broke within a couple weeks of install. Rafi was responsive in redoing the stairs stating it was a manufacturing defect and that the new version is stronger. Unfortunately the second team quality of work was very poor. They left holes in our walls that were patched poorly with plaster. Worst of all the stairs were apparently nailed to the subfloor and after a few weeks they started to rise leaving little holes and nails protruding from the floor. A few of the stair noses are loose as well. At this point, Rafi became unresponsive to have the flooring fixed. We ended up getting some of our money back through our credit card after months went by but the majority of the payment was by check. Basically we will need to replace the stairs again on our own dime. Buyer beware! Lifetime warranty doesn't mean anything if the installer ghosts you.

This was a complex project where we had to remove a lot of existing mixed flooring, deal with leveling costs creatively and work around our family while we lived in the space. The crew was exceptional. When there was problems that required creative solutions they figured out how to stay on budget and made custom flooring adapters to cover specific spacing issues. All of the flooring and baseboard install was done incredibly well. I still see little details where I'm impressed at the level of craftmanship they applied to getting tight corners, hitting rounds and hard angles. The floor has been in for some time now and we had absolutely no follow on issues.

He was the Only contractor who didn't try to upsell me into buying an entirety different flooring for the entire room. That is why there are 4 stars rather than fewer because of the bad below. Communication was great in the beginning. Bad: some hidden tile sections weren't finished. He came back right away to fix them. However, one that was noticed after he came out once to fix it wasn't fixed. They didn't put the toilet on correctly and we had to fix that ourselves. He stopped responding.

He explained the process of providing a sturdy and waterproof foundation. The original tile (Carrara Marble) was manufactured as 11x8.6 size was no longer made so he needed to cut down each tile from 12x12.
