When I contacted MOTW among others, I was initially turned off by their hard core phone presence marketing, but once I told them to cease, they did. So I learned that they do listen. Because of their competitive pricing I was concerned that 1 or more of the glass table tops I have as well as nicer furniture would be broken broken or scratched. That was not the case. Everything was super wrapped in blankets and then covered in packing tape before it even left the house. The guys, 3 of them, worked hard without breaks except for lunch when they traveled between destinations. They were friendly and worked with a great attitude which led me to tip them well. There is a place going up the stairs where the ceiling meets the incline that typically gets banged and damaged during moving. They did not hit it once. A couple of items were incorrectly placed in rooms but that was as much our fault for miscommunicating. All in all I would use them again if needed.

Day of the move, I received 2 texts letting me know how far/close they were to my home. Vlad and Alex arrived on time. Never in my life have I ever been so impressed with the work done for me, and the care that they gave all of my belongings. They were intelligent, motivated, efficient, careful, personable, respectful, and expert. And, although at first, I tried to help, I soon became aware that I was just getting in their way. All I could do is watch and learn. How to wrap and protect furniture (and walls). How to load a dozen or more packed moving moxes into a huge (refrigerator sized) box set on top of 2 dollies - to be rolled from my condo, down a maze of hallways, ouside into the moving truck. Gawd, I was SO relieved to see that my life's belongings were in very conscientious hands. Long story short, there was no doubt I called the right movers. Vlad and Alex were simply magnificent. I wished I was Jeff Bezos for a day, so I could hand each of them a million dollars :) I had been unnecessarily dreading moving day for weeks. One of the movers appeared to be intoxicated during my move. He was an older, shorter Hispanic gentleman, and every time he came near me I could smell alcohol. This made me very uncomfortable and raised serious concerns about professionalism, safety, and whether this contributed to the delays during the move. I was also charged a fuel fee for a move that was only 0.3 miles away, which felt completely unreasonable. On top of that, my final bill nearly doubled from the original estimate. I was charged approximately $350 for packing supplies even though I had already purchased and provided my own tape and wrapping materials and placed them in each room for the movers to use. I even have photos documenting this. When I questioned the charges, I was first told there was a misunderstanding and then told the supplies "weren't seen." Despite me clearly communicating that my own supplies were available, the movers chose to use company materials anyway. While I understand charges for sofa covers and a TV box, one of my smaller TVs had already been wrapped and I specifically stated it did not need to be boxed. They proceeded anyway and charged me for it. The most upsetting part was feeling pressured to pay the full amount before my belongings would be unloaded. After reviewing everything afterward, I truly do not believe the charges were fair or transparent. I gave the company an opportunity to resolve this professionally before posting this review, but the lack of communication and accountability has been frustrating. Customers deserve honesty, professionalism, and fair pricing -- unfortunately, that was not my experience.

It's the amount of times they were NOT accountable - the amount of my belongings they broke - and the amount of times they needed to sit and eat or chat. The contact I spoke with- Sean, said that because he was "looking out" for me, he wasn't going to charge me a lot -- but that was a lie. He was loud (in my area/HOA there is a noise ordinance) which he didn't care about. He was very disrespectful to his colleague (insulting him) loudly. He was extremely chatty. He would tell me a time he was going to be at my house and then not show up for hours. When he finally did, he always brushed the accountability off on his colleague. I was off Sunday, and Monday and wanted to get my move done before I went back to work -- but both days he was late. Then wanted to work through the night -- which with his voice levels was not doable. He claimed to have a partner who is "professional". My thing is-- he should have been professional with or without. He didn't even offer to replace what he broke. He tried to get someone to fix the handle of my carpet cleaner at 9pm. Just choose ANYone else.

Our hardwood floors ended up with a large scratch, and the walls had dings that we now have to fix. Two of our dressers also sustained scratches and dings. We hired movers because the tight turns in our new home made it challenging to move furniture, but we didn't expect to have to deal with repairs afterward. We're giving two stars because the owner was responsive and provided a very small discount. However, it didn't come close to covering the headache or the cost of contractors we'll need to fix the damage. Unfortunately, we cannot recommend this company.

This was the most communicative moving service I've had-Dani and I discussed in depth the amount of belongings that needed to be moved and what factors would bump up the price. We discussed my budget and he adjusted the move's focus so that the final bill was right where I needed it to be. I have never had another mover be so flexible and conscientious about cost. They even went above and beyond in disposing of an old piece of furniture that we ran out of room to store. I have also had past moves with them that were very short notice and small. They were the most reasonably priced moving company for small moves by far. I would absolutely move with them again.

We needed a movers for our new home half a mile away lol. We are a LARGE family moving out of a…read moretiny house into a (thankfully) right-sized home. I usually do logistics but deferred to my husband with few instructions, so there wasn't a ton of space or time to pack everything and there was stuff EVERYWHERE. The good: They were on time ish and provide blankets dollies and tape. The bad: the crew only speaks Russian so without the owner, they're hard to communicate with. The result: they moved things out of order, doing the heaviest things last resulting in permanent damage to my thousands of dollar custom dresser that was less damaged moving cross country- I think they lied about wrapping it and my sons dresser because they were exhausted. It was a twelve hour move. They brought 3 guys when I suggested four and two of them were not ready. I had such anxiety when the owner said he had heartburn I thought he was doing to have a heart attack. It was a TERRIBLE move (that is ongoing) but the guys were nice and did their best. My biggest peeves are not wrapping my mattress, headboard and dresser- my headboard was dusty but now it's dusty and dirty smh. There was no way this was going to end perfectly though and my overall review is a B+. They did their job.

I explained what I needed and Artur was quite rude and condescending. I understand I had a unique ask but the manner in which he talked to me was unacceptable and not any way to communicate with a potential customer. Nonetheless, this was not a good first impression so I will not be using Arko Moving.
