I came with a friend to check out their classes and amenities. This gym is located on the second floor of the mall. Many patrons just park at the structure on the second floor for the fastest access. The lighting of the gym is a bit dim. I personally prefer well lit gym. The towel and sanitizer were out in multiple stations and they were not refilled for the entire hour I was there. The second floor has two classrooms, treadmills. Free weights, cable, and Smith machines. They conditions of the machines are medicore. They dont seem to be well maintained. And most people dont even sanitize the equipment. Some of the equipment have this sour smells. The layout is quite strange, it didnt seem to be that well organized. The pricing is quite enticing. Overall, I didnt like it. But this gym does have a pool, but I didnt get to see how clean the pool area was. read more

Really disappointed with the equipment at this gym. There are only 8 StairMaster machines, which is already a very small selection for a busy gym, and today only 2 of them were actually working. I waited in line for a machine, and when I finally got on, it completely froze and stopped working. That left only ONE StairMaster working for the entire gym. It's extremely frustrating to wait your turn only to finally get on the machine and have it not work. If you're going to have such a limited number of machines, they should at least ALL be properly maintained and functional. Members shouldn't have to waste their workout time waiting in line because the equipment constantly isn't working. The gym really needs to invest in maintaining and fixing its equipment. read more

The new EoS in West Covina still thinks it's Gold's Gym in witness protection!!! The place is fine, but you can definitely tell it hasn't fully moved out of its "I used to be Gold's" phase. The bad stuff: Wipe stations are hiding like they're on vacation, and the recovery area is... well, nonexistent. No cryo lounge, no shark tank, no massage chairs.... just sadness and sweat. The good stuff: The steam room is nice, and the sauna is so hot it could cook a rotisserie chicken. Overall, it COULD feel like an actual EoS someday, but right now it's giving "Gold's Gym with an EoS hat." Great location, just missing the recovery perks that keep your muscles feeling rewarded. 4 stars.... bc compared to other locations (Midway SD & CEC), this one is much nicer, but i still like Whittier & Winchester the best. read more

I've been a member since before Golds was bought out by EOS. It had already seems like things had been going downhill with Golds for years, they used to be known as more of a higher tier gym facility. Since the brand switch to EOS, nothing much has changed, gym equipment is still broken, the sauna is still Janky, and I've noticed on several occasions the female staff kick women out of the locker room before actual closing time. So they will come into the women's locker room turn off the sauna and open it so all the hot air escapes. I haven't noticed the male staff doing this, maybe because they can't enter the women's restrooms. I feel like it would take fixing of machines, not simply additions, and a revamp of the women's locker room, particularly the sauna to actually improve here. read more

I signed up at this place back when they were a Gold's. I'd previously signed up for Gold's many years ago because I like that it felt slightly a bit more elevated than your typical LA Fitness or 24Hr Fitness. Unfortunately, they've gone downhill drastically. Since the changeover to EOS, I've been here a couple of times. I WAS hoping that improvements would have been made from EOS. Alas, nothing has changed other than the band-aid dressing to cover up Gold's branding to now state EOS. The gym is still ill-maintained, the staff is amateur, and the facilities are not good. I live pretty close to this place, but I will make the drive to the Santa Anita EOS because their facilities are much cleaner and nicer! read more

They've taken over Gold's gym. This one is much bigger than the Arcadia location. There is a lot more variety in equipment. The old swimming pool turned into a room full of squat racks. I come here on weekends because the vibe feels a bit different. Great gym overall. read more

This gym is completely in simple words ghetto. The employees have their friends come in and just chit chat away during work hours completely unprofessional and do not service clients. The restrooms have a foul smell, and live cockroaches that I had to kill one and the following day it was still there, shows they do not clean daily! The workout machines are always out of order and take more than two months or more just to fix, weights are just left lying anywhere. I will be canceling my membership due to incident with the workers friend that was there chatting away and being rude to customers, way to drive away business. read more

I signed up for this gym and went to the location the same day. The space itself is beautiful. Colorful, modern, and aesthetically elevated. The overall vibe is chill, and I genuinely like the gym, which makes this experience more disappointing. The signup promotion felt like a bait and switch. It advertises $1 down, but you're required to pay the previous month's fee, making it about $25 upfront, and then the annual fee hits the same month. Your first month ends up close to $90. I understand this is a corporate policy and not specific to this location, but it still leaves a bad first impression. What I will hold this location accountable for is cleanliness. Despite looking polished, the gym is surprisingly dirty. Both restroom hand soap dispensers were empty. I called to have them refilled, showered, and 30 minutes later they were still empty. When I asked the cleaning attendant, he said they were out of soap. A gym being out of hand soap post-COVID is unacceptable. (It is the next day and still no soap). This gym has a lot of potential, but cleanliness and basic hygiene clearly aren't being prioritized. read more

Formally known as the Golds Gym inside the mall. I would love coming here however there's a huge lack of privacy in the restrooms. Yesterday I was in their and as I was changing several females had tripods out recording as several females varying from ages ( some which looked like minors) were u dressing the background. I addressed it to them and they said they would delete any with naked ppl in the background. This is completely unacceptable. There is a sense of privacy in the bathroom and EOS gym allows ppl to record in private locates such as the women's locker room. I've never felt so violated read more

Ive been going to this gym for 4 years and made alot of progress since then. It feels right to write a review. Pros: Convenient parking, great community, and relatively clean. I appreciate the removal of the swimming pool for a line up of squat racks. This gym has a seated chest-supported row machine which ive noticed may not be available at other locations. Cons: Both Incline benches are broken in which lifters are using a 45 lb plate to stabilize the angled seat. This is usable as I use them on my chest day. There has been multiple instances of missing paper-towel refills. There is wear and tear on the black plates. However, the bumper plates are in amazing condition. Bottom line: This is a great gym that I visit 3 days a week. The standout is the convenient parking and the squat racks. The envirornment does feel more intense than other gyms. I believe your environment often influences and at times dictate your growth. If you are in the area, come try this gym out. read more

Gross, dirty, and run down. Was really hoping when EOS took over golds that this location would have maybe gotten better but it hasn't. A lot of the cardio machines are either broken or on the verge on breaking. The weight area is always gross, beyond crowded and u organized. Pretty sure that just due to the surrounding clientele. The locker rooms at this location are always dirty and smell horrible. Only reason to visit this location is if you work close to it and don't want to drive to a different location. read more

Personally I'd rate this place a straight one star. Very dirty not a lot of machine variations. Always packed. Always something broken and not fixed. In the summer is super hot so if you want to come here don't. They are very stingy with the AC. For check in you need someone to let you in and they're always rather talking to each other not there. This gym is awful! The only EOS thing about this gym is the logo on the walls. Equipment is super old, the machines haven't been oiled properly is a long time, many broken machines, numerous busted treadmills, a lot of missing dumbbells, not enough 5-10 lbs plates. Many times the sanitation stations aren't stocked at any given time of the day. It's dirty. Stinky. Trash all over the place. Avoid this gym at all costs. Ongoing Policy & Safety Concerns - EOS Fitness West Covina Hello EOS Management Team, I'm writing to report several ongoing issues at the West Covina location that have been happening consistently during my visits, about five days a week. In the men's sauna and steam room, members -- including adults and minors -- are frequently entering in street clothes and shoes. This is both unsanitary and against standard gym policies. Yesterday, the sauna also smelled strongly of marijuana. I notified staff, but there was no response or follow‑up. Additionally, there is constant filming on the gym floor, which creates privacy concerns for members who are simply trying to work out without being recorded. These issues have been ongoing for some time, and it appears there is little to no enforcement from staff. I'm requesting that management get involved to ensure policies are followed and the facility remains clean, safe, and comfortable for all members. Thank you for your attention to these matters. I don't recommend this gym to anyone because of the maintenance it's very bad the restrooms are filthy dirty there's never any soap in the showers. sauna and steam room are broken all the time. it's overpacked with highschoolers there's not enough equipment so you will find yourself waiting in line to use a machine. The staff is rude the cardio Cinema has broken equipment that hasn't been fixed for years this gym a disaster. When it was Golds gym it seemed to be a little better. From my experience they scam you into paying two anual fees to reduce your monthly payment. There is also peak time 24/7 where you can't get any equipment at any time and there is lines everywhere. They keep on giving memberships when there is no space for anyone. read more

good lord, where do i start??? before it turned into eos i joined because i wanted something decent that's local but this literally was the worst golds gym location in socal despite it being at a mall because the arcadia one is very nice... disappointed that even with the crossover all of the equipment here is still so old and it's pathetic that it still hasn't been updated. the layout and the machines are so outdated in addition to the rusty free weights it makes coming here so depressing and you start to feel unmotivated. i also don't understand the limited hours, very inconvenient and i'd rather join planet fitness just to have 24 hours access. a lot of the dudes who go here are weirdos and it's hard to feel comfortable and not sexually harassed but some of the few women who go obviously love the attention and mad dog you if they're not the only piece of meat walking around. the staff is rude and egotistical, just stand around talking to each other or flirting with members. otherwise they're lazy, the place is always dirty, the bathrooms always a mess and always smell soooo bad. i know it's not a golds gym anymore which sucks on top of everything else but im beyond glad i opted to leave before committing to an even worse franchise that's barely a step above planet fitness. even if equipment improves the culture and environment is genuinely horrid. good riddance. read more
