We found this bakery on Yelp. The name caught my eye, but the bakery really is "F" en Good! I stopped in and bought a lemon bar, vanilla bean shortbread, a snicker doodle cookie, and a chocolate chip cookie. My daughter said the lemon bar was the best she ever had. The shortbread was the best I've ever had, and the cookies were amazing. Go see Stefanie there, her bakery is fantastic. Can't wait to go Saturday morning for fresh cinnamon rolls! I'm so sorry to have a neutral review, as this looks like a really cute, delicious place, and it's great to support local businesses. However, based on customer service, I'm not sure if I'll return to make a purchase. A Saturday or two ago, we showed up right around opening @ 10:00AM, and 1 other customer was waiting for them to open. The baker stuck her head out the door, asked what we needed (odd, I think? - we're customers wanting treats), and told us she's not ready to open, so we need to wait. We all hung around for about 15 minutes for them to officially open. When they did, the cookies weren't out of the oven, so to buy an actual product was another 15-30 minutes away. We could have bought the leftover treats that were in the fridge, but they were really minimal. So, we're looking at about 1 hour after opening before we could get some fresh baked food. The other customer was looking to make a large cake purchase for his wife's birthday, and I think he ended up leaving empty-handed, as well. Waiting around isn't great, but what seemed worse is the baker didn't care - no apology and total indifference. Maybe after we waited for 30 minutes, she could have been more welcoming? I wish them the best and am sure they do have really tasty treats, but sadly, we might not be back to buy any. read more

Amazing! Amazing! Amazing! I was in need of an apricot pie last minute while in San Clemente. Stephanie was more than willing to carry out this unique request. She was so pleasant to talk to. I phoned her on a Thursday and on a Sunday I had this beautiful pie in my hands! You could smell the sweetness of the fruit and the crust looked wonderful too..so we rushed back to slice that baby up. I had never had an apricot pit, but let me tell you after tasting Stephanie's creation, I now LOVE it! It was so fresh, sweet and a just the right amount of tart...the crust was also so perfect (light, flaky and scrumptious!) I plan to do much more business with this bakery! I had a fantastic experience with F & Goode Desserts! I ordered a two tiered stout cake with a "bailey's" buttercream for a baby shower I was hosting. The first thing I have to comment on is how amazing it tasted. It was so yummy and everyone at the party loved the cake. I also loved the way it looked. I emailed Stephanie pictures of what I liked and she created a beautiful simple semi-naked cake that was perfect on my cake table. Stephanie made a beautiful vanilla cake for my mom's 80th birthday and it was the hit of the night. MY BF is not a cake lover (always wants a pie for his b-day), but proclaimed this cake "the best damn cake i've ever eaten.". It wasn't overly sweet, it was dense and very flavorful, and the frosting was the same ( I liked how it too wasn't tooth-achingly sweet; light french buttercream). I recently enjoyed some cookies from F & Goode Desserts! Chefanie did a fabulous job! I was wondering how fresh they would be considering that they are based in California and I had these shipped to east Texas. I was not disappointed! They were so fresh and smelled so great! I tried the Snickerdoodle, Chocolate Chip, White Chocolate Macadamia, Peanut Butter, and Oatmeal Raisin. My favorites were the Snickerdoodle which were very buttery and had plenty of cinnamon and sugar goodness. Followed by the White Chocolate Macadamia which were chewy and soft with lots of white chocolate chips!! My husband loved the Chocolate Chip! The Oatmeal raisin were very moist and chewy with golden raisins and a savory flavor. The peanut butter were pretty good, not very sweet (I'm a sweet tooth!) but they fell to pieces in shipping.
