We called AAA for a tow and they suggested F&R Auto Repair. Tow truck came in about 30minutes and got us loaded up. Once we made it to the shop they had us diagnosed and fixed up with a new thermostat housing and gasket in just under 2 hours! F & R Auto Repair saved my family and I! We were on our way to LA from SF and our transmission fluid was low (no thanks to Honda for not checking before we left). We had to pull off in Wasco and I called them. They stayed late to replace our transmission fluid and we were able to get back on the road. WORST PLACE EVER!!! The owner was very rude to me. Didn't not let me explain anything to him. Just cut me off and was ranting off.

This shop really help us out. It was the only shop opened in the Shafter and Wasco area (that I was able to get in contact with) on a Sunday. I called, let them know we were coming and had AAA tow our car to the shop. Marco and Rafael are honest. They diagnosed the issue quickly (our 2004 Hyundai was not starting) and in 30 minutes found the issue (faulty wire connection to the starter). The issue was very minimum when they found it, but they looked at our car right away and did not tell us we needed another starter like some mechanics would. Reasonably priced and quick. I will definitely go to them again if I am in the area and in need of a good mechanic. read more

They got my car running but they took an entire month for a job they said would be a week and a half. My car is running well so happy with outcome but the price rose an additional $700 from quote and they smogged my car when I had a check engine light on so I obviously failed and had to pay. (It was a miscommunication with front office dude). The smog with check engine light on is shady but other then and the ridiculous wait time they got the job done right. read more
