CrossFit Eastchester has all of those features of a top notch CrossFit box. The equipment is well maintained and they have all the essentials to get your WOD on. Now here is the part that makes this gym the best I've ever visited. The culture.The culture at this box is unreal. I'm in the Army and we stress command climate and unit culture and it takes years to perfect or get it right. Some units will never get it right until new leaders take over or the whole organization has a massive turn over. CrossFit northeast has a culture of respect, camaraderie, professionalism, fitness, and most importantly fun. Everyone from the instructors to your fellow athletes have bought into the culture created at this gym. I am continually impressed by this gym day in and day out. Each coach has their own approach in assisting all athletes of all levels continually improve. Furthermore, ALL the staff pay in side-by-side with the athletes. Once a class ends they chalk up and put the f*** up. It's reassuring to see they are not only human but can execute everything they teach in class. Last but not least, the programming is top tier. I was home for a good chunk of leave and needed a spot to do my programming (Thor 3 & Mountain tactical) and I decided on CrossFit Northeast Eastchester. It was clear on day one the programming at the gym blew my prescribed workout plan out of the water. I was truly humbled when I came to execute a class instead of execute my programming and I got dragged through the mud. I eventually changed over to just following CrossFit northeast's programming. All in all I recommend CrossFit northeast to anyone looking to improve their fitness. It doesn't matter if you're 18 or 80 everyone in this special community is part of a team which I've never seen before. Sometimes classes can get a bit crowded which doesn't allow as much individual attention as some might want (or need), but all in all I highly recommend...especially if you've never done crossfit before. They offer a free trial class and you can also do an "on-ramp" set of classes to get the basics down before you jump in (which you'll want to, believe me). I also love that it's never crowded so I never have to change what exercise I'm planning on doing. Lenny (the owner) is super nice and very knowledgable - he has tons of experience and the equipment he includes in his gym is very purposeful. They have at least 2 sets of every dumbbell, so again, you never have to wait or compromise for the weight you want. I also love that there are mirrors everywhere so you can focus on your form. So I'm the type of person that would rather do anything else but workout ‍ but last spring I…read morestarted going to Fitness Together in Bronxville (by Bxville Nails)and I actually started to go on the regular because workouts were challenging but felt good and my disc herniations were not exasperated by the sessions - which has always been the problem when I've tried to get in to a routine. I'm only 38 but I have an old lady back with a minor curve and herniations at L4, L5, C1 and C2. They renovated over the summer and reopened recently as Celcius. Now they do group classes rather than one-on-one and my first class this morning kicked my butt yet was over before I knew it and I felt great after so it was the same great experience as the one-on-one sessions. For me the best part was that I dropped my kids at school at 8am, started at 8:30 and was home by 9:30 (45 min class) so I had the rest of the morning to get things done. I don't normally promote things but Celcius is worth it and the staff there is so great I can't help post about it

Chris, my trainer, is extremely personable, focused, and on top of all our objectives. I've always thought the best customer service experience is one where the client feels like they're the only client in the universe, and that the party providing the service is devoted to the singular task of addressing the client's needs. Obviously, a bit of a fantasy given a business with multiple clients, but some businesses pull it off: they create an environment where you feel like you're truly cared for, as if you're the only client. Evolve Athletic Club has accomplished this with me. The staff here are extremely competent, supportive, attentive to detail, and prioritized all my personal objectives. Every question has a good answer and every workout is challenging. A lot of care is put into recovery and nutrition. The space is very clean and organized. The staff has done a great job to build amazing rapport and trust. On a side note, you know the expression, "zero fucks given"? It's this attitude where a person literally does not care about a single thing. Plants need watering? No. Need to pay rent? Nah. Clothes getting dirty and need washing? Whatever. Failing school? Ite. Evolve is the opposite of this. In fact, I think they're the opposite of this plus more. Not only do they do everything you think that's required of them, they also do stuff that you don't consider. They take the initiative to say: "hey, this is cool and could be beneficial to you. Why don't you try it?" But, but...you're reviewing a business. Aren't corporate entities "it's" and not "they's"? Sure. However, I stopped thinking of Evolve as a corporate entity as soon as I started working out there. All the staff members look organically happy and engaged, and everyone has a great sense of humor. It genuinely feels like the people here are part of a family. Perhaps I'm just happy that I'm in much better shape. But, at the end of the day, results are results. Not only did I get results, I got them with a process that was fun and engaging. I'm more encouraged than ever to work out and be healthy.

Did a dry-run one Saturday morning just to get a feel and from home to this location, is a solid 20 minutes on the Bronx River Pkwy. Parking was a snap both times I was there. Located on Main St., Juan (owner?) answered all my questions and he in turn, took his time to be as specific as possible, a tour of the gym included plus a Free Trial class whenever I wanted. Perfect! Classes here an ultimate plus for me and that's what I actually loved right from the beginning: those good old-fashioned Toning, Bootcamp, Leg Workouts that really work for me plus Personal Training. And if you're into Zumba, they got that too. The following Saturday, headed down to Tuckahoe for my Free Trial Bootcamp class with Steven who made me work Abs, Arms and Leg muscles in a totally different way. Let me put it this way, the guy was professional, on top of his game and attentive! Man...I came out of there sweating bullets and loved it! I love their pitch and what these guys stand for- but because of my personal time constraints at the moment, the 20-minute trip is what I have to consider. But this is really a cool gym and the price (and attention) is right!

I bought one for a friend and I. Honestly we could not be more pleased! Staff is very friendly, Juan the owner is extremely attentive and helpful. This is not a huge fancy gym, instead an intimate gym where your trainer knows everyone in the class by name. They offer bootcamp classes, Zumba classes and even core classes. If your looking for something different from your ordinary gym experience try I train with Juan, you will not be disappointed!
