Seating area available and apparently a VHS player lol. Retro music from the 60s or 70s playing right now and totally not my jam but fits in with the vibe of this place'. The pizza here leans toward a traditional style with potentially interesting flavors for your more artisan interested people like me. The special this week has a nice flavor and isn't boring. I added their handmade crushed red pepper which helps accentuate flavor just right. Great for a vegetarian or carnivore alike. I am not good with quality of dough but from experience, just by tasting it, I'd say the dough here is respectable quality. Staff here is friendly.

Everyone has been friendly, personable and welcoming, which makes the experience even better. Depending on when you go, you may have a little bit of a wait, but good pizza is worth waiting for! A couple of things that are good to know before you go: call ahead and reserve your dough, especially if you know you're planning a visit. They're also BYOB for beer and wine, which is always a plus. And having their own free parking lot about a half block away is definitely appreciated in Philly! No need for a huge complicated menu when you know how to do one thing extremely well. It was the perfect size, and the crust was good, but it didn't really taste like a taco pizza. I've had taco pizza that were packed with bold taco flavor, and this one was a little under seasoned for my taste. The meat was tender, though, and I ended up taking the leftovers home and adding a little extra seasoning. My daughter ordered the taco salad, which was good and served in a large crispy tortilla bowl. Like the pizza, it just didn't quite have that classic taco flavor we were expecting. The atmosphere is what really makes this place stand out. Despite Kensington's reputation, this pub is a hidden gem. Parking can be a little challenging since it's in a residential area, but if you're nearby, it's definitely worth stopping in.
