We figured we'd give this place a try as it's been on our list for a while. We got two different pizzas and two different small salads. One red with Pepperoni. One 3 Cheese 1/2 Red 1/2 White with Chicken and Mushrooms. Greek and Caesar salads. The salads were ok. But the pizzas were so disappointing. Dry and somehow without flavor. Just blah. The sauce tasted like nothing. The crust was crispy but again, no taste. My BF is a lover of all things pizza and even he couldn't figure it out. Lack of salt and seasoning? It's almost like we kept eating it to try to figure out what went so wrong. It was kinda shocking to be honest. Dare I say my favorite pizza in south Jersey? I love their thin crust. Especially the pepperoni with hot honey and Asiago cheese to sprinkle. It's SO GOOD. They have delicious pasta choices too. Definitely try to go early to get a seat and know that it's cash only so be prepared to stop at an ATM (they have one at the restaurant) or grab cash before you go. Delicious pizza, even better service! We were greeted by the owner, Vinny, and our waitress, Tori, was quick and kind! Their menu is short sweet and to the point. We ordered the Signature and added prosciutto. It was the perfect mix of light white pie with the salty bite of prociutto. We didn't grab a photo (because we dug in too fast) but their Wedge is one of our absolute favorites, too. Their house made blue cheese dressing is truly unreal -- the perfect balance of creamy but not too thick and not overly lumpy. Can you tell we're obsessed?! First things first: They are cash only, which seems like a strange flex in the age of credit cards. I didn't see any note on the door walking in, but it is possible that I missed it since I wasn't looking for one. I just happened to notice it in a Google review and asked the host, who confirmed it to be true. Fortunately, we had enough cash to dine, otherwise I would've been disappointed to miss them. I'd rather they just bake the price of credit card fees into their pricing than not offer them at all. We didn't have a reservation, so we had a brief wait before counter seats opened up facing Haddon Ave. They weren't bad, it was just like sitting at a high top, just next to whoever you're there with. I do wish they had spaced out the parties more though, since if you ordered an app + pizzas, there wasn't much space with someone right next to you. Our server was very nice and our food came out promptly. I ordered an app-size caesar salad, which was tasty. We also ordered the app-size soppressata vodka pasta, which was incredible. I could've had that as my main dish! It was on special that night, so I'm not sure if they always have it. For our pizzas, we ordered the Margherita and the Formaggio with a white base. I loved the Margherita, which was surprising since that's not usually my top choice when ordering pizza out. The sauce was delightful though and brought all the flavors together nicely. The Formaggio for me was a miss, which was seriously shocking. It seemed overcooked and was basically just crunchy dough and garlic. I could hardly taste the cheese, which made no sense to me. It also did not warm up well at all, so leftovers were tossed sadly. We also ordered the creme brulee gelato for dessert, which was...different, but in a good way. Honestly I'm blown away. First time coming here for a family members bridal shower and the food is out of this world. Everything was so fresh and you can tell it's all homemade and made to order. The employees in here took care of us and were very attentive to our party. We sat in a cute section with couch seating and and it was super intimate/ the vibes were spot on. I really can't say anything bad about this place I live over an hour away and will continue to make trips back here it was just that good. Keep up the good work you guys are amazing !!! read more

This pizza is THIN and crispy. You are also given the choice for doneness which is a huge plus. We got the formaggio, margherita and red sauce pie with pepperoni. They were all excellent, but thin crispy pizza is our jam. The toppings were all spot on too. Pinged a star because they are cash only, but didn't mention that when I called in the order and it took a longer than specified for the pizza to be ready. I was skeptical coming here because of the reviews online. BUT-- I went here for my cousins 30th birthday and I was surprised at how amazing the food is here. Their pasta are extremely fresh, made in house. We had to order the dishes a few times because the portions are quite small and we had a large party. Definitely try the gnocci! Extremely, extremely fresh and the red sauce paired with it was literally so tasty. All other pastas were amazing! The pizzas are all thin crust, and crispy. If you like more of a thick crust pizza, then this isn't for you, but it definitely was good in my opinion. The dough was crispy and the pizza was not heavy. The place accommodated to our large party, as well as the kids we brought with us. Staff was so sweet and quick and even took the kids orders first because they knew that kids get a little hangry and crazy without food!! The restaurant is nicely decorated BYOB with exposed brick walls, illuminated mirrors, tile floors and a live edge bar with very comfortable seating and a view of Haddon Avenue. Parking and entrance are located on the side. The sign at the door states cash only and no dessert to be brought in. Two kitchen employees and two wait staff called out, our waitress apologized for the delay. We ordered pizzas. They offer a couple pasta dishes. Pepsi products. Our food came out right away but the diners next to us were still waiting on their salad when our food came. The sauce tasted homemade and was thin, as was the crust and the cheese. The crust had char on it, which some people like, but I do not. Water was not refilled. Staff were nice but service was slow. There are better choices for pizza on Haddon Avenue. read more

Our first time at Taconelli's Haddon Twp and it was not what we had heard about them. We ordered the single Caesar salads. The portion was nice, not too small. The romaine was crisp but very sparingly dressed. It had an abundance of grated Parmesan cheese. The croutons were disgusting commercially toxic ultra processed cheap boxed rock hard chunks of tasteless waste. I can't believe they are incapable of making fresh croutons. It's not that hard!! We then had the Margarita pizza. The crust was ultra thin and crisped to perfection. It even passed the "flop" test. However we didn't care for the excessively sweet tomato sauce. We aren't writing them off and will give them a second try at some point. The server was good but did not offer a refill on our beverage. The establishment is bright, but tables are very close in the dining area. The 3 stars are in hopes of a better experience next time! read more

We were a late party of seven including 3 children. We were greeted enthusiastically. Our table was perfect and the service could not have been more accommodating. The ambiance was warm and inviting, The food was excellent, as always. We shared two pasta dishes as appetizers. The ricotta sausage Orrechette and the Amatricianna were both amazing. We came here finally for a night out after having our first born. The menu is super limited and build your own pizza which I don't like because why open a pizza shop if i have to create the gourmet pizza?. We then ordered only to find out they are cash only. We only had credit cards and electronic payment methods. My husband had to drive home and leave me sitting alone on our date night, for thirty minutes while he went to get cash. The sodas were flat and we were never offered refills. We waited 90 minutes for a single pizza. We got a cheese pizza with prosciutto- but it was actually cooked on the pizza until it was like jerky. Very odd for prosciutto to be cooked. The honey drizzle was more like a sauce drenched on top and soaked the bottom of the pizza. I am now home sick to my stomach within minutes of leaving, haven't left the bathroom. Would not recommend. read more

People really don't take kindly to a new pizza place around here. The pizza is good with a nice selection of toppings. It is a build your own pie which may be odd to some, but if you're like me that can't stand olives you'll never get a bad pie here. They also have home made pastas and desserts We got +3 cheese pizza with red sauce topped with sweet sausage, spinach and mushroom +Pork ragu gnocchi Both were good. The 3 cheese didn't seem to add too much and parts were oily so I'll get a standard margarita pie next time. No complaints about the gnocchi. Service was friendly and was enjoying the disco music playlist As others said this is a BYO and cash only place with a decent sized parking lot. They don't seem to have any out door seating however. We went to Taconellis to try their pizzas. Their pizza ovens we pretty cool! We ordered a pepperoni pizza and a hot sausage onion and green pepper pizza: the pizza sauce was very sweet. I like a more tangy sauce. I ordered the roasted peppers and they were very sweet too. The crust was excellent crispy and firm. They don't have Parmesan cheese? Why? Please only use fresh green peppers because your pizza sauce is very sweet you need a contrast to the sweetness. We also ordered a Greek salad which it was not. Either change the name or make a real Greek salad. Greek salad should contain real Greek feta cheese. This was not Greek feta cheese but one that is made in the US I would assume. Kalamata olives were present but no tomatoes or cucumbers, a staple in Greek salads. We also tried a small portion of pasta with brown butter and garlic. It was tasty but I didn't taste the garlic. Please note this is a BYOB and CASH ONLY PLACE! They have an ATM machine but it charges a fee. Why not allow for credit cards. It is a known fact people order more food and feel more relaxed with a credit card. I usually don't carry much cash with me. The service was very friendly. read more

Opening night and the restaurant looked great, the service was perfect and food/pizza was delicious! We ordered a margarita and white pizza and they were yummy ! For dessert- they did not have the Tiramisu that was on the menu but overall it didn't take away from our experience and we will definitely be back. Our only recommendation to the owners would be to either add a kids menu or cheese bread or something for the little ones. Finally got around to trying this location and was not impressed. They need to work out the kinks around their ordering process, being put on hold multiple times and then having to hang up to call back to get someone to answer is frustrating- I understand how busy a pizza place can be on a Saturday night during football playoffs but transparency on hold time is a must. The pizza itself was cold and coagulated... it had some potential but even with that it's a 2-3 star pizza at best. The meatballs were the saving grace and pretty good. Food was really good but Vince set false expectations for having a "family style party". He did not set the tables and had guests get up and down to refill dishes from another table which I would call "buffet style". I had to take wine glasses off the rack and bring them to tables because I didn't understand why there wasn't any servers doing this. Vince also informed us there was no one else at the restaurant until an hour after our party started. Another party did come at the start of ours due to an alleged miscommunication and ironically they not only accommodated and then provided them the "family style" experience we discussed. After voicing these concerns to him he then started to make excuses saying they had less guests and ordered less. It seems like we were slighted by Vince. We are very disappointed with his overall competency to communicate what he offers as a business person and if he was competent enough to set accurate expectations this would have been a perfect day. I hope his family reconsiders how he represents himself and the business. His response to this was "I don't think the customer is always right". These people clearly don't know the definitions of the words "family" or "style" which reflects Vince's character accurately. He also refers to macaroni as noddles. They told us that their interpretation of buffet "family style" style is "fun" and people in our party should help serve people who couldn't physically serve themselves(as we watched the other party get served normal family style). We simply wanted to be served family style but instead of apologizing we got excuses that the size of our party warranted a new interpretation of the English language--family style-- clearly they failed on delivering in simple communication and integrity of there business at large, but still gladly took our cash. He hid behind the counter like a curtain in the wizard of oz. We felt so stressed and disappointed! read more

Great pizzas and creative daily specials. Haven't tried the pastas yet. But who makes a Greek salad with no tomatoes or peppers? Bad news and not worth $16.50 for a bowl of romaine! So tonight on our second visit we ordered the House salad with blue cheese dressing. There was very little blue cheese but tons of salt. So the salads really need some work. Dined here recently based on their reputation and have to say it was marginal at best. Service was meh. No enthusiasm whatsoever. Our family size Caesar salad (for $16) was nothing better than what you'd get at a diner. Our margherita pizza was fine but not by any standards a true margherita. The sauce was too heavy and flavored and there was minimal cheese and basil. I doubt they use fresh mozzarella. My party and I won't be back.
