Lee is absolutely in my opinion as good as it gets. As a male, I was very concerned about wanting a subtle change with neck and lower face. I always felt like my neck was the only area that showed my true age. I can't share how many friends and family commented "I can't believe how well you healed" ! Acquaintances noticed absolutely nothing changed and not because the subtle changes but because the sutures were so unnoticeable. I had them on my temples and he almost entirely tucked around the hairline which I do believe was even moved up ever so slightly in order to cover them. The actual stitches were so tight and neat and discrete that even I did not know they were there until my wife explained to me I had them there as well as completely around my ears from front outer lobe all the way around the entire back of the ear. I even asked the doctor during my month follow up if he had actually stitched or glued the area. He clarified I was stitched and only large flesh wounds get glued to my surprise. Less then 3 months later, nobody can even pick up on any scars except behind the ears which generally takes an extended time period due to the thinness of the skin and limited blood flow since there are very few arteries in that area. Dr. Lee's work is second to none. I am about five weeks out from my procedure and the amount of compliments I've received has been overwhelming. I had two procedures: CO2 and Faceology Facelift and I am 47 years old. My review is going to cover a lot of aspects of the procedure that other reviewers failed to mention (it isn't easy - but it isn't hard or painful either - but it is annoying). I think it's important for people to know what they might face, to make the coping that much easier. Either way, I 100% would do this again in a heartbeat. So, first off - I met Dr.Lee online years prior to my procedure, as I was noticing laxity in my skin (jowls and a turkey neck), but he was conservative and didn't recommend a facelift at that time. I opted not to do other procedures with him as he is located pretty far from where I live. Instead I tried Morpheus at another skincare place in Woodland Hills and it pretty much destroyed my skin - making it exponentially more saggy - and aged me dramatically. So, this year, 2024, I called Dr. Lee and set up an appt. for both C02 laser and a Faceology Facelift. My in-person consult wasn't as long and detailed as others described. In fact, I saw Dr. Lee for less than 5 minutes. He was quick, but I had done a ton of research so wasn't particularly phased. I spent more time with one of the staff (but she did give some misinformation - which was later corrected by the nurse aesthetician). Basically you are NOT TO EAT AT ALL before the procedure, but in the paperwork I received she told me to have a banana or something to prevent nausea. Also, you are prescribed a Valium (which is to aid in sleeping) but my pharmacist told me not to take that in addition to the painkillers for fear of there being interaction - so just be cautious (it's not anything serious, but she strongly advised me only to take the valium if I was completely off the pain meds - I never needed to take the valium). The night before the procedure the nurse anesthetist called. She was lovely and very information and did not rush through any questions. Morning of - I arrive. I meet the nurse anesthetist in person (she is great) and another nurse was also great (she was going to be assisting with the surgery). I saw Dr. Lee very briefly as he drew on my skin areas where the cuts would be made and showed me how it would look post surgery (by pulling back my skin). He was out within a few minutes and they were taking me into surgery. The last thing I remember was laying down on a heated surgical bed and hearing some music playing that the nurses were laughing about and then - I was waking up and getting into a wheelchair to go home. The first night was insanely uncomfortable and nobody talks about this. It isn't painful at all...and honestly, with the exception of the bandage and drains, I would have had no discomfort. However, the bandage is so tight and SO uncomfortable, I didn't sleep one wink. The drains make it hard to put your head on the pillow when sleeping upright (and you can't sleep on your side). By the morning I was trying to pull the bandage off (don't do this) because it is so restricting and it starts getting annoying. Again, it is NOT painful, it's just super irritating (you'll see - but you will survive it). When I went in to get the drains removed, Cathy was phenomenal. She knew I was about to faint (I faint easily) and she immediately prevented it with making me smell alcohol pads and giving me apple juice). She cut the bandage off and removed the drains andit was smooth sailing!!!! After that, the recovery was easy - and only annoying because of having to restrict my movement. I like to exercise and not being able to do that is SUPER annoying. For about 3-4 days after you can't open your mouth easily so buy lots of softer foods (yogurt, soups, oatmeal, etc.). By the first week your neck will look very swollen and your face will start looking more like you. As far as the C02, I was glowing after a week and no pain at all with that - not even heat really (which apparently only last a few hrs after the procedure....I was probably still comfortable from the anesthesia to notice). I am still swollen at 5 weeks, but I can see a big difference. Dr. Lee is fantastic and I can't wait to see the improvement as time goes on. read more

My family member spent huge amount to do a lower facelift with the doctor ,when I saw the result I really saw no change in her. She looked exactly the same as prior to surgery. We thought maybe as time passes by we can see change I had called to schedule a consultation before I saw the result but Vanessa was so rude and such bully that I decided it wasn't worth the consultation either. Any way I think my relative wasted thousands of dollars for nothing and she knows it too. But what can you do what is done is done. All Potential Lower Face/Neck Lift Patients.....This is for you: On 1/6/2019, I ended my search for a qualified plastic surgeon, when I came across Dr Raymond E. Lee's profile on RealSelf. I researched everything I could find about him on the internet, verified his credentials with the Medical Board Of California, checked his website, read all the reviews on Google, Facebook, Yelp, Vitals, Healthgrades and RealSelf. I knew immediately that he was THE one! Double Board Certified "Facial" Plastic Surgeon with 13 years of experience and 5 star reviews across the board , who offers the procedure that I needed, under local anesthesia?Score!! I am 53 years old. I looked 65 thanks to my saggy jawline, loose neck and droopy eyelids. I interviewed several plastic surgeons within the last five years, none of which made the cut for me. 1/7/19: Called the office and scheduled my first consultation. 1/25/19: Initial Consultation/Booked my Procedure. 3/01/19: Prep Visit. (Before) Pictures taken. Pre surgery requirements/instructions are given. Full payment expected. 3/14/19: Procedure! In at 8:00AM, Out by 11:30AM. I had the lower face/neck lift and the blepharoplasty (Upper Lids) done. There was absolutely no pain whatsoever. Hard to believe, I know! I was freaking out for weeks, worried, concerned and anxious for nothing. Actually, that is the main reason why I am submitting this review. I want to help whoever is out there considering this procedure yet hesitant or afraid (Like I was) in hope that it will assist in your decision making. Feel free to send me your questions regarding the doctor and/or the procedure. This was my very first time getting a cosmetic procedure done. The "You should age gracefully" theory wasn't cutting it for me. Also, I wasn't willing to spend $$$$ on fillers either, for a temporary fix. Besides, I probably needed gallons in order to make a difference. Dr Lee's post surgery follow up visits are usually scheduled as follow: 24 hours/ 1 week / 1 month after. 3/16/19 Removal of the drainage tubes. The thought of having tubes under the skin of my face, hanging out, freaked me out and sounded disgusting. But again, it wasn't a big deal at all. They suck fluid out of the face to avoid/minimize bruising and swelling. Useful technique! 3/20/19 Removal of the stitches (6 days post surgery) I was super excited. I had no bruising and was healing really well. Felt GREAT! An hour after removing the stitches, I had a sandwich for lunch. Unfortunately, as I was chewing on the food, a blood vessel in my face ruptured. My face got swollen instantly. I panicked!! I contacted Dr Lee immediately. He was concerned and asked me to see him at 7:30AM the next morning. To make a very long story short, I ended up seeing Dr Lee everyday for the first ten days. Dr Lee was there for me every step of the way. He was comforting, caring, patient and available. His bedside manners exceeded my expectations. On 3/25/19, I received a random call from him. He was just checking in and wanted to find out how I was feeling. LOVED it!!! That, by itself, was a confirmation that I made the right decision by choosing Dr Lee. Priceless! Prior to this incident, I didn't have ANY bruising. I found it to be bizarre. I had seen many patients photos with purple/blue bruises all over so I was expecting the worse. During the month of February, while awaiting my procedure day, I did some research on the type of diet that would help with the healing process and minimize bruising. I took a picture of my list which I will post with this review. I also took Vitamin C (1000 grams) daily. I truly believe that all the food rich in Vitamin C, E and loaded with antioxidants made a difference. The cons of this procedure are: Adjusting your sleep and not being able to wash your hair with regular shampoo and conditioner for a couple of weeks. That's IT! The outcome: I look like the younger version of MYself! I was so eager to find detailed reviews by patients regarding (before, during and after) of the procedure but I couldn't. That is mostly why I am publishing this long review. My best advice is: Do you research!!! Qualified professionals are worth it and so are you. You don't want to get botched! I am thankful for his entire staff, I am grateful that Dr Lee found and followed his passion years ago. AMAZING!! I think this place deserves a 20 star review. I wanted to get a lower facelift/neck lipo and came across Dr LEE on the real self website and saw all the excellent reviews. I noticed he was a double board certified plastic surgeon and (because I work in the medical field and am very particular where I go) I was impressed with his credentials. I went for my consult and was so impressed that EVERY SINGLE person/nurse that works here had the BEST customer service for making sure you feel comfortable. They are all so kind, informative and will walk you thru every step of the process and answer every question. I decided to go thru with it even though I was scared to death to have facial surgery. I could not be happier! For years I had been been upset by what I saw in the mirror. Loose skin around my jawline and neck making me look much older then I am. I was afraid of surgery, the recovery and down time, the cost, looking unnatural, etc. I was embarrassed at the thought of being so vein as to want a facelift, worried if people would know and what they would think. But there was a point where I decided it's what I needed to do and started saving my money. Then I started researching Drs. I had a couple consultations before meeting Dr. Lee. I felt so confident in him and his staff, I booked the appointment that day. A side note on the staff, they make you feel so comfortable from beginning to end. They are friendly and professional, and I never once felt worried or embarrassed about any of it. Now I am 6 weeks post op and I am so happy with what I see in the mirror, I could not have asked for more. While it was a huge change for me, the results are somehow subtle enough to others that they think I just look refreshed from my vacation. I routinely get the compliment, "you look great!" and with confidence and a big smile I say, "thank you". It's a wonderful feeling. I am not typically one to write reviews. I had a lower facelift and C02 laser almost 1 month ago by Dr. Lee and his team. I'm more than happy with the results and it was money well spent. My face looks less 'jowly', natural and refreshed. Dr. Lee and the entire team were so professional, knowledgable- just nice people. The recovery went very well and was much easier than that I thought it would be. The nurses will give you very detailed instructions for care of yourself before and after your procedure- so just follow all of those and you'll be great. I never experienced any actual pain and the hardest part is getting used to sleeping upright and keeping the healing gel (for the laser) on your face. I did buy a 'husband' pillow (like the kind you have in dorm rooms) and that helped a lot with the being upright.
