Tried to cover up having the wrong windshield with excessive amounts of adhesive. In the photo taken after removing the wrong windshield, you can see areas of adhesive did not touch the glass Jose installed. To hide the mess and get paid, he covered all the edges of the windshield with blue tape. Next day, I removed the blue tape and drove the truck...windshield had a whistling noise and water leaked into the cab when poured from a cup onto the outside edges. Called and explained the issue and he did offer to fix only after arguing with me for 10 minutes, but I decided I did not trust his work. I offered to pay the wholesale cost of the windshield and asked that he refund me labor cost, which he refused. Guy I had install the correct windshield said that Jose's install was horrible and his price was for the more expensive 3rd gen window, despite being the incorrect part number. Photos of windshields in the rack show the obvious difference between 2nd and 3rd gen windshields, note the rubber tabs on sides of the new 3rd gen windshield and the excessive adhesive after removal on the 2nd gen windshield Jose installed. Do not trust your safety to JC Autoglass.

They did not contact me for the final installation until July 13. The shop charged my insurance nearly $6,000, yet my car was returned to me with poor-quality and incomplete repairs. I have included photos of the $6,000 repair they billed my insurance company, along with my rental car receipts, so you can see exactly what I went through and judge the quality of the work for yourself. The first time I picked up my car, no one told me the job was not actually finished. Also Clips had been removed or were missing, and my car made a horrible noise while I was driving on the freeway. It honestly sounded like my wheel was going to fall off, my anxiety and stress was ultimate high. I had to bring the car back, rent another vehicle, and wait while the North Park location sent my car to Miramar and then back again. Communication was terrible throughout the entire process. I constantly had to call for updates because no one kept me informed. My insurance only covered a rental car for one month. Because this shop took so long and still had not completed the repairs correctly, I had to pay for another month of rental expenses and rental insurance out of my own pocket. They did not cover the full rental cost and would not even agree to pay half of my rental insurance, even though their delays and poor workmanship were the reason I needed the rental for so long. The second time they returned my car, the clips still had not been properly installed. I was driving on the freeway with my baby in the car, genuinely scared that the wheel or part of my car was going to come off because of the horrible noise. I then had to continue driving the car like that for another month while waiting for them to finish the job. That was completely unacceptable and unsafe. I had to return to the shop four separate times just to get the repair completed correctly. Pablo, the manager at the North Park location, did not go above and beyond to resolve the situation. There was no urgency, accountability, or concern for the stress, financial loss, inconvenience, or safety risk this caused me and my baby. I have already notified my insurance company about this experience and asked them not to recommend this shop as a reliable or trustworthy repair facility. This place is a disaster. Poor workmanship, terrible communication, excessive delays, unsafe repairs, and no accountability. Save yourself the stress and take your car somewhere else.

Auto Glass of San Diego gave me a four-hour window on Friday, and said the technician would call 30 minutes prior to arriving. After waiting around all morning and not receiving a call or visit, I finally called them 30 minutes after the allotted window and was told that the technician was in North County, 1.5 hours away, supposedly stuck in traffic. It was never explained to me why they scheduled back-to-back appointments at opposite ends of the county, didn't plan for Friday traffic on Rt. 5, and hadn't bothered to call and let me know they were running late. Despite misgivings, I decided to give Auto Glass of San Diego another chance, and had them reschedule for Monday morning, this time in an hour window, for the first appointment of the day to ensure that the technician would not be running late. Imagine my frustration when they no-showed AGAIN! This time when I called, I was told that the technician was "only" 30 minutes away, and would head to my location next. I told them to cancel the appointment, and will be letting my insurance know about my experience.

Our garage is detached, so we could not lock our old patio doors, meaning if we wanted to use our garage, we either had to leave the house unlocked or walk around the block to our front door. We were told by all the other contractors that our doorway was a weird size, and that they were unable to install the doors without cutting into our drywall and stucco and removing our patio stairs. We were also told this would be a project that took multiple days. I posted our other quotes to Yelp to see if other contractors could beat it, and Sivan responded. Oded from Sivan came in and confirmed what I suspected: That what we were told by other contractors was wrong, and that they could easily replace our sliding patio doors with French doors with a lock, and that it could be done via retrofitting and would only take a matter of hours. Everyone at Sivan was easy to work with. My husband and I frequently have meetings during the day, so it's hard to have a call about house stuff. Everyone at Sivan was able to communicate via e-mail and text so we could handle things while in meetings, and they were super responsive even though we sometimes took months to respond because we had a baby since we originally reached out to them. We were able to get our doors done for $4,298.80, which was the best quote we had from any contractor and included labor, materials, and a warranty.
