I have had (3) bad experiences with the guys that they hire to lay the flooring. A young independent guy was recommended to prepare the sub floor that needed a 36"X 36" piece of new subfloor at entrance, using plywood, I got a bill over $1000.00. On another order I asked to have new bathroom viny, floor installer tells sales person they're is nothing wrong with the floor Denise, suggested a different idea for laundry rm.?! In fact the Bath lanolin had been water damaged, discolored, bubbling by toilet and when ripped up subfloor a wax ring needed replaced. I still continue to use Factory Flooring until the owner didn't like it when I I complained that installer wouldn't put old cleaned carpet in storage there, Installer saw a rattlesnake hissing earlier when retrieving materials for job there, he reused to put old carpet in covered storage so it was put in back of a truck. . I agreed too. Hers the topper he took left over laminate and key to storage, and Denise sales asked me what I want to do with it? Well since Factory Flooring is well aware I live in LA and Denise would hold key and laminate, That is when I said I don't want this guy installing my flooring on the next install, that was being placed. That is when Factory Flooring told me "lets part ways". Denise returned left over laminate and key at vacant home. Thank you Denise! If you are looking for carpet this is not the place. It was a disastrous experience for me with horrible carpet and no recourse so I threw over $1,000 out the window only to learn that Lowes and other carpet stores will replace the carpet if you really hate it, but no such policy at this place. And another thing, it seemed very odd to me that I was directed to a certain type of carpet without being offered what my alternatives would be and without educating me on what I needed to know about carpet. I purchased Triexta carpet that I learned after the fact has mixed reviews and clearly, they have issues with consistent color dying. And ultimately the last sample provided was a very different color so after so many go arounds I gave up on Mohawk who is the only manufacturer who prints on their samples dye lots can change, and carpet fiber can change. It sent up a red flag immediately, but I unfortunately thought I would be okay with a big-name manufacturer. To make a long story short, I found a carpet store that has been amazing to deal with, so knowledgeable and so in tune to my needs and that combined with my doing much more research on my own has culminated with my ordering three rooms of carpeting. I never received the kind of professional service I would have expected at this place and there was no sensibility as to the importance of color. read more

This was a 5 star experience start to finish. They did everything they said they would and then some. In addition it was a first class job. This was the THIRD time we installed these floors...in a new house! The builder's floor came up and they came back to reinstall.....looked horrible, trim looked like a third grader did it. We are extremely happy with our new vinyl planking. We replaced all the carpet in our home, which was a huge deal after living all our lives with carpeting and pets! Secondly, our installers, Santino and Alex were excellent; so accomplished, versatile, considerate and dedicated to doing the best job possible! In memory, we have not had two individuals who worked as hard as they did. Tyler came in last day for final touch up on baseboards and was great, too! And even though this process was loud, dusty, labor-intensive and upended our our living spaces, Santino and Alex were so considerate and detail oriented in everything, including cleaning up our space before leaving each afternoon. I always prefer to support local small businesses. Disappointing customer experience from the moment I walked into the Flooring Factory store until the moment I walked out. The lady at the desk appeared bothered, attempted to pass us off to unavailable sales man then proceeded to tell me about this discounted left over flooring that she didn't have a sample of at the moment. When I asked what other options they have she said they are more expensive. She must have decided by my appearance how much money I'd spend and how much of her time I was worth. When I mentioned I wasn't sure if I was going to extend the tile into the living room or put in wood flooring she frowned and declared nobody puts tile in their living room. I'm extremely happy that I made the right decision to spend my $14K on new flooring at Lumber Liquidators. Just finally had some wood flooring installed/completed, and could not be happier with the result (over 2000 sqft of wood and carpet total). This project started a few months back when we experienced a problem with the wood product. Ernie (owner) was awesome through the entire process; he could have told us to live with the issues. But he didn't. He stayed in continual communication throughout his dealings with the distributor/manufacturer. We are new to the area, so checked around and heard that Factory Flooring Outlet was the place that realtors refer their clients to, so we went there and found their prices to be better than we had hoped for. They were very helpful and accommodating, from the start and we found the carpet we were looking for. Rick and his helpers came and installed it over a period of three days. He had some issues, due to pet urine from the previous owners dogs, and he took care of them very well. Because of these unforeseen issues, the job took longer than anticipated, and poor Rick had to stay late into the evening working (after 11 pm one night) but he did so cheerfully and so willingly to get the job done. He was an extraordinary personable worker and by the time he left, we considered him a friend. I was referred to FFO by a friend, and I will recommend them to anyone who needs flooring. They did a great job of working within our budget by giving us options and explaining the differences, without using sales pressure to go with a more expensive product. They managed our expectations well (were good to their word) throughout the process. The installer was friendly and did a great job, offered suggestions for how to treat the floor before installation (we replaced the carpet due to pet damage), and finished within five minutes of his estimated time. I was extremely dissatisfied with the installation of my flooring. Not only did they have to come back twice to fix the flooring and baseboards that were installed incorrectly. But only 2 months later the carpet is pulling apart at one incorrect seam where it was not properly installed and a rubber seam they suggested is already falling off. However if I ask for these to be repaired by them they will charge me for labor and materials.Better off going with a different company. I should not be having to do repairs so soon. Sure they carry nice products. But the insulation WASTE OF MONEY. read more
