Tried this place during an outing to Fredericksburg to try and catch the aurora borealis. While we had little luck on that front, this place was a great find. The salads, steaks, and sides were all very good and reasonably priced for a nice steakhouse. Service was also great. Will return when we are back in Fredericksburg. read more

Prime rib doesn't compare to the established Olde Towne Steak & Seafood. Over one third was fat, including one entire end of cut-definitely skip this option. On the positive side, it was served at the right temp and had great flavor...just a piece that shouldn't have been served. Had a gift card otherwise I would have shared with manager. Also took 40 minutes to get food (6:45pm reservation). Nothing special here. Will return to the OTS&S for future anniversary dinners. read more

We were celebrating a special occasion, as my granddaughter was graduating from Mary Washington as a nurse. So, we had reservations here, as we didn't want to get stuck trying to find a good place to celebrate. We arrived a little early, and we were able to hang out in the bar area until time for our reservation. Everything was clean, and neat, and looked very nice. They had some great happy hour specials, and a small selection of local draft beer, a small selection of wines, and some special cocktails, as well as a number of appetizers at a good price. We enjoyed a beverage and some truffle fries - very good! The service was awesome, and very attentive. We were seated promptly at our reservation time. The menu is very solid, with plenty of great choices. I had a hard time deciding. I eventually opted for the surf and turf choosing a steak and some shrimp. The steak was cooked to perfection, and the shrimp were very nicely cooked. They have an awesome wine list, and we enjoyed a nice bottle with dinner as well. Obviously, great food and great service doesn't come cheap, but it was an excellent meal, and worth every penny. I'd highly recommend this place for any special occasion. read more

She was spot on with the flavors and excelled at working in my preferences as well. I've loved coming to Fahrenheit with my parents for happy hour since they moved to Fredricksburg. Today we came for my graduation, and I was excited to sit in the dining room with them. We came in early (4:30) to try and take advantage of the amazing happy hour deal, but unfortunately they don't offer it at the tables, only the bar. They won't even let you go to the bar, get a drink, and sit back down. I understand wanting to charge full price for drinks, but it just seems pretty unfair and a little bit snooty for my taste. The people paying the most money (those at the tables) should get to also take advantage of the happy hour. It just left a sour taste in my mouth. Aside from that, dinner was AMAZING. The steaks were great, sides were delicious (especially the creamed kale), and the desserts and drinks were impeccable as always. A Loyal, High-Spending Customer Treated Like a Risk -- Absolutely Unacceptable I've supported Fahrenheit 132 for years. My family and I have dined here many times, and every visit typically comes with a bill close to $1,000. We've celebrated, we've brought guests, and we've consistently chosen to spend serious money at this establishment. So imagine my shock and frustration when I was told that for the simple act of reserving a table for eight people--a normal dinner size for any decent family--we had to hand over a credit card in case we had to cancel. Not only would they keep our credit card on file, but they also made it clear we'd be charged $20 per person for a no-show. Yes, they said the fee would not apply if we canceled the night before, but the point is this: after everything we've spent and the loyalty we've shown, they still treat us like a liability, not like valued guests. That alone is a slap in the face. I voiced my frustration at every level: receptionist, assistant manager, and finally the general manager. Not one person cared. The GM actually had the audacity to tell me this was part of their "evolution." Evolution? If by that you mean alienating the very people who built your reputation, then congratulations--you've achieved it. They believe they're entitled to charge customers simply because they might lose out on a table. That's not business--that's arrogance. If your operations are so fragile that a single no-show throws off your night, maybe your business model needs fixing. Don't push the cost of your scheduling fears onto your most loyal customers. And let's be honest--the environment doesn't match the ego. The place is tight, cramped, too noisy, and absolutely not kid-friendly. The booths are uncomfortable, the spacing is awkward, and it's far from the relaxing fine-dining experience they want you to believe it is. It's disappointing. It's insulting. And frankly, it's a reason for me to reconsider ever walking through their doors again. Great food doesn't excuse bad policies and worse attitudes. We had dinner here on a day trip to Fredericksburg on my birthday weekend. It was Recommended by a friend. If you want to go, try and make reservations beforehand, as we tried a day or two prior but there was no availability. However, we went anyway to have a few drinks and were able to get a seat at the bar, which offers a full menu. They don't allow people to stand at the bar, which is cool, because seating isn't cramped by people trying to order drinks. The bar has an extensive bourbon selection, and I was able to get (deep) pours of Bamberger's, Gatsby 2023, Reservoir Milkman, and Michters 10, all quality pours that are hard to find. The food was amazing, it was the best meal I have had in quite a while. I ordered the Veal Tomahawk steak, which was cooked to perfection, and accompanied by the mashed potatoes and broccoli, with a chimichurri sauce and bone marrow butter. My wife ordered the prime rib, which was delicious also. Not as good as mine, but my wife would disagree with that. lol. The service was great, the bartender was knowledgeable about the bourbon list and also made a good Tawny Old Fashioned cocktail. Decided to go to this place on a recommendation from some people that I trust. From the moment that we walked into the moment we left, we were treated with the utmost respecting courtesy. The staff were professional, well-dressed, and very knowledgeable. The atmosphere was absolutely lovely seamlessly mixing wood and brick with well lit and well-placed fixtures and candles to create an ambiance that is second to men. We ordered the hanger stay, just as a tryout on the first try and honestly I couldn't have been happier. They were cooked perfectly and paired very well with the side dishes that we had that night. Their bar selection is wonderful in every way. Ample selection of bourbon that will even peak the interest of discerning whiskey fans. Seating was surprisingly intimate for such a small space and we never felt overwhelmed or overlooked, although the promised bread basket did take a bit to get to use our meals arrived shortly thereafter but not with a overlap that made us feel that we were having to hurriedly finish one thing before the other. Boy, this restaurant really gives off great vibes and we were SO hopeful, but everything fell a little flat. To start off, the hostess was so incredibly condescending and even though we had a reservation and there were plenty of empty tables, she made us wait until our reservation time on the dot to seat us. I guess because I had the audacity to note we were a few mins early and if it wasn't an inconvenience, maybe they could seat us 5 mins early? The waitstaff though, wow, impeccable service. The waiter assistants were always seconds away from clearing plates or refilling glasses, A+ on that front and our waiter dealt with a couple of issues in a super professional manner. The food is where it all sort of came apart. There was a very large, very coarse, very black hair in our salad, and normally I'm a shrug and go person about this stuff, we are, after all, all humans, but this was just so egregious and showed such lack of attention to detail. It was right there! That sort of turned our stomachs, but we carried on. The rest of the meal was just greasy. Everything was so laden with butter as to be nearly inedible, even the broccoli was doused in it. The truffle fries had no truffle, not even a hint and the steak, ordered medium, was easily on the rare side of medium rare. It was just one small thing after another that added up to a rather disappointing experience as far as the food was concerned. The wait service certainly made up for it, but this place would be outstanding if they could figure out all the small details and make it come together.
