Our party of four visited this restaurant on a recent Wednesday evening. Our reservations (yes, you need reservations) were at 6:30pm and the place was already full-up with people. We were seated quickly at a nice booth and our waiter for the evening promptly took care of us and did an excellent job throughout the evening. He fully explained the menu and described everything in magnificent style and detail. We opted for a starter of truffle fries. They were delicious and enough for all four of us. We tried a couple of the non-alcohol drinks, The Prohibition and The Lulu Lemonade, both quite nice. For the mains, three of us opted for the surf and turf meal and one opted for the ribeye. All of the steaks were cooked to perfection. I had the sirloin and it was very flavorful and juicy. For the surf, my salmon filet was tender and flaky, with a nice crust and wonderful taste, too. Sides of wedge salads, mushrooms and green beans rounded out the meals. One of our party had shrimp scampi as their surf option and another had the shrimp skewer. The scampi were HUGE! Overall, a very nice evening. The atmosphere felt intimate, even though the tables were full of guests. It is definitely a special occasion place, not for the routine or budget, but worth the splurge once in a while. read more

This place is amazing. Did a day trip to Fred Vegas and this place came up on all our searches for amazing food and great happy hour. We arrived at 3:50pm before their 4pm open thinking we'd breeze in for a seat at the bar. There was a line of 20+ people to get in on a rainy day. Impressive! Bar was comfortable and staff was very friendly. We were served by Michael, who was awesome-he quickly took care of 1/3 of the bar and ensured we no one waited too long for anything. Food was beautifully presented, affordable, and delicious. Happy hour deals were amazing but even their regular meal was reasonably priced for high quality. The tuna tartare has the most interesting combination of flavors, but they work so well together and it was fun trying something different. Amazing meal. Certainly specialists in meats. The cocktails I had were very well crafted and unique. This is quite honestly the best steakhouse I've been to in years. I went here based on someone's recommendation and it was absolutely worth it. For me, it was an hour and 20 minute drive but I was all in. I'm so glad I went. Thankfully we had reservations because they were very busy. You will also want to give yourself an extra 5-10 minutes to get parked; parking is mostly paid street parking but supposedly there's a nearby parking garage. The staff are all very welcoming, friendly, and customer-focused. The setting has a very steakhouse feel and very appropriate for the restaurant. And the food is amazing. We went overboard because everything looked so good and left so stuffed it was ridiculous. And we had leftovers. We started with drinks (The Prohibition; non-alcoholic and delicious) and appetizers; the appetizers included truffle fries (good but could be crispier) and elk tar tar (wonderful and melts in your mouth). We followed appetizers with soup; I had the tomato bisque (amazing), while my wife and son went with French onion (also amazing). For a main meal I had the filet mignon, topped with roasted garlic lemon butter, and their signature mashed potatoes; the steak was cooked perfectly and melted in my mouth. The best. My wife and son split two meals across them, getting the champagne shrimp risotto, garlic green beans, Delmonico ribeye, and truffle Mac and cheese. At the end of the, we shamefully ordered one slice of peanut butter pie. We could only take one bite each because we were so full. You MUST try this place! read more

Tried this place during an outing to Fredericksburg to try and catch the aurora borealis. While we had little luck on that front, this place was a great find. We were celebrating a special occasion, as my granddaughter was graduating from Mary Washington as a nurse. So, we had reservations here, as we didn't want to get stuck trying to find a good place to celebrate. The menu is very solid, with plenty of great choices. I had a hard time deciding. I eventually opted for the surf and turf choosing a steak and some shrimp. The steak was cooked to perfection, and the shrimp were very nicely cooked. They have an awesome wine list, and we enjoyed a nice bottle with dinner as well. I ate here twice in the same week and nearly went back for a third time. The first time I ordered the iceberg wedge and duck breast. The second time the Australian ribeye for two with Mac and cheese and fries. The ribeye for two comes with soup or salad and 4 sides and a dessert for $140. The value is real. Prime rib doesn't compare to the established Olde Towne Steak & Seafood. Over one third was fat, including one entire end of cut-definitely skip this option. On the positive side, it was served at the right temp and had great flavor...just a piece that shouldn't have been served. Had a gift card otherwise I would have shared with manager. I've loved coming to Fahrenheit with my parents for happy hour since they moved to Fredricksburg. Today we came for my graduation, and I was excited to sit in the dining room with them. We came in early (4:30) to try and take advantage of the amazing happy hour deal, but unfortunately they don't offer it at the tables, only the bar. They won't even let you go to the bar, get a drink, and sit back down. I understand wanting to charge full price for drinks, but it just seems pretty unfair and a little bit snooty for my taste. The people paying the most money (those at the tables) should get to also take advantage of the happy hour. It just left a sour taste in my mouth. Aside from that, dinner was AMAZING. The steaks were great, sides were delicious (especially the creamed kale), and the desserts and drinks were impeccable as always. We had dinner here on a day trip to Fredericksburg on my birthday weekend. It was Recommended by a friend. If you want to go, try and make reservations beforehand, as we tried a day or two prior but there was no availability. However, we went anyway to have a few drinks and were able to get a seat at the bar, which offers a full menu. They don't allow people to stand at the bar, which is cool, because seating isn't cramped by people trying to order drinks. The bar has an extensive bourbon selection, and I was able to get (deep) pours of Bamberger's, Gatsby 2023, Reservoir Milkman, and Michters 10, all quality pours that are hard to find. The food was amazing, it was the best meal I have had in quite a while. I ordered the Veal Tomahawk steak, which was cooked to perfection, and accompanied by the mashed potatoes and broccoli, with a chimichurri sauce and bone marrow butter. My wife ordered the prime rib, which was delicious also. Not as good as mine, but my wife would disagree with that. lol. The service was great, the bartender was knowledgeable about the bourbon list and also made a good Tawny Old Fashioned cocktail. A Loyal, High-Spending Customer Treated Like a Risk -- Absolutely Unacceptable I've supported Fahrenheit 132 for years. My family and I have dined here many times, and every visit typically comes with a bill close to $1,000. We've celebrated, we've brought guests, and we've consistently chosen to spend serious money at this establishment. So imagine my shock and frustration when I was told that for the simple act of reserving a table for eight people--a normal dinner size for any decent family--we had to hand over a credit card in case we had to cancel. Not only would they keep our credit card on file, but they also made it clear we'd be charged $20 per person for a no-show. Yes, they said the fee would not apply if we canceled the night before, but the point is this: after everything we've spent and the loyalty we've shown, they still treat us like a liability, not like valued guests. That alone is a slap in the face. I voiced my frustration at every level: receptionist, assistant manager, and finally the general manager. Not one person cared. The GM actually had the audacity to tell me this was part of their "evolution." Evolution? If by that you mean alienating the very people who built your reputation, then congratulations--you've achieved it. They believe they're entitled to charge customers simply because they might lose out on a table. That's not business--that's arrogance. If your operations are so fragile that a single no-show throws off your night, maybe your business model needs fixing. Don't push the cost of your scheduling fears onto your most loyal customers. And let's be honest--the environment doesn't match the ego. The place is tight, cramped, too noisy, and absolutely not kid-friendly. The booths are uncomfortable, the spacing is awkward, and it's far from the relaxing fine-dining experience they want you to believe it is. It's disappointing. It's insulting. And frankly, it's a reason for me to reconsider ever walking through their doors again. Great food doesn't excuse bad policies and worse attitudes.
