    tomahawk steak
    Dominic J.

Had an excellent dinner there this evening. Enjoyed the tomahawk steak special, which was very flavorful and well-presented and paired with the recommended wine wonderfully. Sides were decent (asparagus was tough/stringy), the French onion soup was also very good. Peanut butter pie was very mid...probably something that came from a box rather than being homemade or freshly prepared. The cutting board that the tomahawk was on leaked "steak juice" through a hole onto the table in front of us. Left a nice dessert-plate sized mess on the table. This was our second and last time we'll be coming here.

Sorry the company, family, & friends, were the main feature for me. So no food pics, lol

From the Fresh Oysters, to Blanched peppers & Rice, and Shrimp Cigars. it was an amazing start for Appetizers! Then onto the salads and main courses. Lobster & Steak dishes for cooked perfectly, also the Hanger Steaks were perfection, too. Our waiter was great, too. It was my Birthday & the Ambiance was sweet. We were a party of six and opted for the outside table which was quite spectacular! Now going onto pricing it is not inexpensive, but definitely worth it for special occasions.

A year later and Fahrenheit is still exceeding expectations!! It is rare that we don't have an absolutely fantastic experience at Fahrenheit, and last night was no exception. From top tier customer service, to informed and helpful staff, all the way to excellent and thoughtful food, it really does not get much better. Megan in particular has been above and beyond for us more than once. Fahrenheit is a staple for us, whether it's a special occasion or a Tuesday afternoon for Happy Hour. A true gem in Fredericksburg that lets their passion and love of food and spirits show in every way!!

My husband and I had a wonderful dinner while visiting during his FBI Academy graduation. We were promptly seated and provided our drink and food menus. We both tried a drink & martini flight which was amazing! I ordered the steak and lobster with a side of sautéed mushrooms and blue cheese topping. Incredible meal, I was so hungry from traveling all day so I appreciated the quality. They even brought out a small dessert to acknowledge my husbands accomplishment. Nice touch after a wonderful meal!

04.2026 Our first time here and it was a great experience! The servers were very sweet, attentive and helpful in explaining the different dishes. The atmosphere was light and lively...not loud. I would definitely make a reservation for it can be a very long wait. The steaks, the desserts, EVERYTHING we had was sooooooo yum! I highly recommend the truffle fries, truffle mac & cheese, and the any of the steaks.....sooooooo goood!!! The best dessert: the banana pudding!

We've been coming for several years and last night was unfortunate. Sat at the back corner table where a terrible odor kept wafting over the wood barrier. The tables are petite for the portions they bring out so it felt like I needed to rush eating so the plates could be moved out of the way where usually I can just move my plate aside and keep nibbling. The cone for the caviar appetizer was stale, the pork wontons undercooked and Ceasar salad meh. After years of amazing experiences $300 for last nights experience was far less than desirable. And come late last night, we both had food poisoning. We shared all the dishes so no idea the culprit but it most assuredly was the result of dinner. After last night we won't be back.

Located in the beautiful historic downtown area of Fredericksburg this unassuming restaurant may literally have served me with the best steak that I can recall eating. I came here on a weeknight for dinner with a large group. Thankfully, we made a reservation ahead of time to have a special table set up for us. Our server, Megan, was amazingly friendly and professional, and was able to help guide us with our drink and dinner choices. I ended up choosing the fillet for my steak. Your steak comes with two side dishes. I opted for the garlic, mashed potatoes and a side Caesar salad. The steak was provided with a special rub that consisted of salt, pepper, garlic, and dehydrated molasses. I also got a pat of herb infused butter, which they melted with a torch right in front of me when they brought my steak out. They also provided me with a side of their chimichurri sauce. I ended up ordering my fillet medium, and for a steak like that, it was so tender and amazingly flavorful. My mind raced as to if this truly was the best steak I have had in my life. The succeeded every expectation I have for how could a steak could be. And it wasn't just me being hungry coming up with this review everyone else at the table was amazed at how everything was so delicious. Easily better than any steakhouse that I have been to back in my home area of Seattle. My group had a fantastic time and all of the staff here were so amazing and made us feel right at home with their hospitality. I will not hesitate to come back here the next time we are in the area.

I've been to Fahrenheit 132 a handful of times and just realized I never left a review--and that's a crime. You truly can't go wrong choosing Fahrenheit, whether it's for a special occasion or an elevated night out. Just make sure you plan ahead, because a reservation is a must if you want a table. This is an upscale, get-dressed-up, enjoy-an-incredible-meal kind of place. My girlfriends and I have made it a New Year's Eve tradition, booking our reservation a full year in advance, and every year it delivers. Ringing in the new year with great company and outstanding food here is unbeatable. This year, my friend and I shared the three-course meal for two, featuring a tomahawk steak cooked absolutely to perfection. I added a side of bone marrow butter while she chose the sautéed onions--both were fantastic. We ordered Caesar salads, plus an extra appetizer of mussels, which were phenomenal. The broth alone was worth it. I also went with the flight of specialty drinks, which was a great choice. The service is always top-notch, and in my opinion, this is hands down the best steak you'll find anywhere in Fredericksburg. Already counting down to next year's reservation!

Great environment, great staff, the Prohibitionist mocktail was Delicious! ~ ordered the baseball steak which was cooked to perfection and I esp. loved the low sodium rub they use. Carrots perfectly cooked and the pea salad was very good but could have used more cheese and red onion in it, it was mostly peas. Over all 5 stars, I would eat here anytime!

What a cool place. Good drinks and good food, plus the service was excellent. We came for a special occasion and the staff was wonderful. Food is good but it's definitely a steak house so don't come expecting pasta. I got a bunch of sides and was very happy as truffle Mac and cheese is my happy place more than the meat. My husband got a small steak and it was great. One thing that shows I'm getting older - why do men wear baseball hats inside a fancy restaurant? I couldn't at least four at one point. For $100 dinner, act like you're not at Arby's.

My, My, My.... Now Fahrenheit 132 Steakhouse... "count your days," because me and my wife... are COMING BACK!!! Best Filet Mignon of Our Lives -- Easy: Talk about immaculate. Juicy. Tender. That Dry rub with the melted molasses situation was a literal chef's kiss. We'd come back just for that!!! No side or nothing. Just the steak. Oh my goodness. Service. Service was great. Our waitress was super nice and hospitable. She was very attentive and knew that menu like the back of her hand. Color me and my wife, impressed, the way she explained the way the food was prepared and served. We didn't know what to do lol, but we appreciated her knowledge and recommendations. Food. We ordered the Filet Mignon with Potatoes and Vegetable of the Day (Brussels Sprouts) along with the Grass-Fed Hanger Steak with Potatoes and Glazed Carrots. Now that Hanger Steak was pretty good too. And the garlic herb butter that they melted with a mini torch in front of us was next level. But the Filet Mignon took the prize for us that night. (And the award for Most Memorable' goes to... ) Although I did enjoy the glazed carrots and potatoes as well. We did order the Truffle Mac n Cheese but had to send it back because -- unfortunately -- it wasn't "hitting on nothing." But it's all good. The steak was the star of the show. My wife said her sides could've been better. Ambiance. Not bad. Kinda quaint in there. They definitely maximized all the space and it feels like a Texas steakhouse with some farm decor and bricks. Not bad though. Not at all. All that to say: WE. WILL. BE. COMING. BACK! thank you!!!!

For this to be a newer restaurant, they sure have things clicking!! For starters the place is a little more casual than upscale but it still has an expensive feel to it... I tried the 30oz Australian Wagyu tomahawk steak(for 2 $130, comes with soup or salad, two sides and dessert). The steak was packed with flavor and has slipped its way into one of my top 8 best steaks. The mac and cheese was bland, the brussel sprouts weren't that good. The black eyed peas were givebackable, but the sautéed garlic green beans were delicious. The French onion soup was really good too. Our waitress was great a knowledgeable and very tentative to our needs. Can't wait to visit again!! Oh of course, the drinks, they were good as well.

Oh my--what a meal! My partner made this reservation weeks in advance since they were fully booked on Friday, so we came on a Thursday. The interior is beautiful and upscale. We were seated in a booth that was a bit snug for three people, but we made it work. I started with the Peruvian Sol cocktail--tropical, refreshing, and absolutely delicious. We shared the escargot to start, which was fabulous--the sauce it came in was rich and flavorful. For my entrée, I had the shrimp and purple grits, which ended up being my favorite meal of our entire trip to Fredericksburg. My partner's NY strip was perfectly cooked to a medium rare and packed with flavor, and my uncle enjoyed his salmon as well. We were too full for dessert, but this place is a must-visit. Our server was fantastic and had great recommendations. I'd absolutely prioritize coming back here!

Midweek could you take a casually dressed college student here for their 18th birthday? It is during orientation week during a pocket of time that isn't busy. I doubt he will have time to dress up and have dinner.

For sure, you will see some dressed casually and more formally.

Are they able to make the mashed potatoes without rosemary?

The staff is very accommodating, I'm sure if you asked for a substitute they would help.

What is the dress code? Weekend away and night out with the husband, don't want to be over dressed.…

I'd say casual and up. No jeans or t's.

    Good music and drink place?

Probably not the bar is nice and you can watch a game on TV but there doesn't look like music would work

My wife grabbed the Newton Cosmo, which, while delicious, was too sweet for her, and James took it back and got her a mint julep instead for no charge. For dinner she had the Caesar wedge salad with a rare steak, I had the Ramsay Bolton burger. Both delicious and portions are incredible, especially for the price. Also asked James for a bourbon flight after dinner. He listened to what bourbons I had tried before and promptly recommended a flight and how to go about tasting it. Today's venue of choice was a place called Rivers End, which sounds like either a cocktail bar or a warning label, depending on how your day's going. It starts off a little funny because you have to figure out the right door, then march yourself up the stairs like you're reporting for duty. Once you get up there, though, it feels like the kind of cool old place that's seen some things. You can almost feel the years rolling by, from Caribbean rum days to whiskey nights to the modern era of "smart cocktails," where they put things like herbs and intentions in your drink. The vibe was right. Cocktails were great--strong enough to matter, smooth enough not to apologize for. The food was excellent across the board, the kind that makes you stop talking for a minute so you can do some serious fork work. Most important, our waiter Shane was dead on the mark: there when you needed him, gone when you didn't, and never once tried to explain the menu like we'd just landed from Ohio for the first time. I can't find a single thing to complain about, which for me is almost a complaint in itself. Good value, good food, and a good scene--about all you can ask from an afternoon you're not spending at work. Next visit will be brunch, and I hope it's soon. After experiencing the service firsthand, I'm very glad I checked it out before making any plans. The waitress was nice, but the service was extremely slow. From the moment we arrived, we waited a long time just to be greeted, and then waited even longer to order and receive drinks. When our friends arrived, they experienced the same thing. They waited so long that they eventually went to the bar to try to get drinks, only to be told that they had to order through their server. The problem is, when the server isn't around and you've already been waiting, what are you supposed to do? Unfortunately, the food didn't impress us either. I personally did not find it appetizing, and overall, the experience was not what I expected. I'm actually glad I visited before considering hosting a party there because, based on this experience, I would not feel comfortable renting the venue for an event. If you don't mind waiting a very long time for drinks, food, or basic service, you may have a different experience. But for our group, the service moved at a "molasses" pace, and I would not recommend it based on our visit.

The building is laid out so you can see just about everything from your stool: bar, tables, who's coming in the door, and whether your food is on its way. Sightlines were wide open, nothing cluttered or cramped, and the whole joint looked super clean, like somebody actually cares what it looks like before the crowd shows up. So we did what any sensible, thirsty people would do: picked two other beers, ordered some apps, and decided not to take life--or the tap list--too seriously. The staff serving myself, my husband and our guests was very responsive to our needs ensuring a smooth wedding reception experience. The MC duties performed by DJ Jay Cole were chef's kiss. The River Room with its views of the Rappahannock river and the historic Fredericksburg Railroad bridge were an excellent backdrop for our ceremony and reception. Do not hesitate to reserve Brocks Riverside Grill for your wedding, or any other event where the location, food, and attentive staff are a priority to you. Go Brock's!!!
