Decided to go to this place on a recommendation from some people that I trust. From the moment that we walked into the moment we left, we were treated with the utmost respecting courtesy. The staff were professional, well-dressed, and very knowledgeable. The atmosphere was absolutely lovely seamlessly mixing wood and brick with well lit and well-placed fixtures and candles to create an ambiance that is second to men. We ordered the hanger stay, just as a tryout on the first try and honestly I couldn't have been happier. They were cooked perfectly and paired very well with the side dishes that we had that night. Their bar selection is wonderful in every way. Ample selection of bourbon that will even peak the interest of discerning whiskey fans. Seating was surprisingly intimate for such a small space and we never felt overwhelmed or overlooked, although the promised bread basket did take a bit to get to use our meals arrived shortly thereafter but not with a overlap that made us feel that we were having to hurriedly finish one thing before the other. Boy, this restaurant really gives off great vibes and we were SO hopeful, but everything fell a little flat. To start off, the hostess was so incredibly condescending and even though we had a reservation and there were plenty of empty tables, she made us wait until our reservation time on the dot to seat us. I guess because I had the audacity to note we were a few mins early and if it wasn't an inconvenience, maybe they could seat us 5 mins early? The waitstaff though, wow, impeccable service. The waiter assistants were always seconds away from clearing plates or refilling glasses, A+ on that front and our waiter dealt with a couple of issues in a super professional manner. The food is where it all sort of came apart. There was a very large, very coarse, very black hair in our salad, and normally I'm a shrug and go person about this stuff, we are, after all, all humans, but this was just so egregious and showed such lack of attention to detail. It was right there! That sort of turned our stomachs, but we carried on. The rest of the meal was just greasy. Everything was so laden with butter as to be nearly inedible, even the broccoli was doused in it. The truffle fries had no truffle, not even a hint and the steak, ordered medium, was easily on the rare side of medium rare. It was just one small thing after another that added up to a rather disappointing experience as far as the food was concerned. The wait service certainly made up for it, but this place would be outstanding if they could figure out all the small details and make it come together. This is a great spot for a date night or even birthday dinner! The food is delicious and there's a good variety, so you're bound to find something you like. We've had good service at this spot too. The first time we visited, our server was super helpful with recommendations on which wines we might like and what food options she recommended. Our steaks were cooked perfectly and the side dishes are delicious. The second time we visited, our server was attentive and thorough since we had a member of the party with a food (onion) allergy. Unfortunately, the plate did still come out with a pile of onions for that member. The server and manager came over and were quick to apologize and get another dish in for us. There's also a full bar with some TVs along one side of the restaurant that looks like it might be a good spot to hang out with friends. Service was fast and friendly. We ordered the prefixe menu for 2 - you can choose salad or soup, have the huge Kobe steak to share, four sides, and a single desert to share for $140. Walked into the restaurant about 5pm and was able to secure a table near the bar - when I left at 6:30 all tables in the restaurant were full. The list of specialty cocktails and wines by the glass show that there is a lot of thought put into the bar program. Likewise, for the food offerings, both appetizers and entrees revealed a diverse amount of choices. While billed mostly as a steakhouse there were several chop and seafood opportunities. I had a fantastic tuna carpaccio and a very good mussel appetizer (although a little heavy on the jalapeño). The tar was served raw like sushi with potato straws. How freaking cheap can you get. What were we supposed to eat the tar tar on? Potato sticks? NO Will NEVER recommend or order that again unless you revert to the old recipe. It was TERRIBLE. Second I ordered Surf n Turf. Went with the hanger steak and salmon fillet. The steak was awesome. The " Norwegian" salmon tasted like Atlantic farm raised at best. It was undercooked and oily. I lived in Alaska for years and Norwegian salmon is supposed to be comparable. NOT EVEN CLOSE. Medium is not the way to go. It should be flavorful and flaky. This salmon was neither. For an $800 meal for six it could be awhile before I try to venture back there for mediocre food. read more

My husband had a milestone birthday this year. I wanted to celebrate it with him by taking him to the best steakhouse in our town. I turned to fellow Yelp reviewers and YES! Fahrenheit 132, Seared to perfection! We had our coats checked, and led to our table. Our server was Mehgan. She made wonderful recommendations, how the food was cooked and presented, and answered our questions. My husband and I shared a shrimp cocktail, he had the hangar steak, medium and I had the baseball sirloin medium rare. Their signature French Onion soup was also very good. My husband loves a good steak and he was beaming. He was happiest when he was served along with dinner a cream soda that he really liked, and a sweet crème brule' for dessert. I live locally in the stafford- Fredericksburg area and almost never almost have visited downtown Fredericksburg, never found it to be very appealing to me, however I yelped me a place last Sunday and to my surprise it did not disappoint. Service was excellent host was very helpful since we did not have a reservation she mentioned that the bar was open with a full service menu so we opted to seat a a window seat and the server was also very friendly and helped us navigate thru their menu as it was our first time there. Drinks were very well crafted and beautifully balanced, food was absolutely delicious I had a ribeye steak and it was the best steak I have had in a while cooked to perfection tender and juicy. Place ambience and decor was very nice, A intimate atmosphere and cozy place not too loud which it was great for conversation unlike other places that music can be annoyingly loud. Listen this place should have more buzz in Fredericksburg! Moving from the Alexandria VA area I was concerned I would not find as many great places to dine in this area - I was wrong. Fahrenheit never disappoints! Literally one of the best steakhouses I have been to - even amongst those in Washington, DC. The menu is carefully curated (alongside craft cocktails) and there are alot of options for those that don't eat red meat also. I usually always select the filet but this time I chose to go with the Halibut Oscar and it was amazing. The ambiance is great with a wonderful selection of vibe forming music, service is always above par, and the restaurant itself is nice and chic.
