This restaurant is located just half a block west of our local Jewel on Army Trail. Hubby and I have passed it many times and always passed it up. Until tonight. We truly thought this was a pizza place and it's really more of a sandwich shop. Hubby ordered a gyro, no special changes and I ordered the cheesesteak (no pepper or mushrooms, add tomato). Order was to go (of course) and took about 20 minutes. I went to fetch the order (almost exactly $19) and I was surprised that I had to go inside the store to get it. Inside the shop it was minimalist in decor. You paid/get your order almost immediately upon entering. Hubby pronounced his gyro satisfactory but not exceptional. My cheesesteak was gigantic and STUFFED with meat. It was different than any other cheesesteak I've ever had; NO CHEESE and none of the tomato I requested. Odd. Overall, we found it as Tony said. Was looking for a new burger/wing/gyro place close by and the photos of the food looked promising... and that's about where the good review ends. At the register is a sign that says they are NOT a fast food restaurant and that all their food is prepared fresh and made to order. I think that's a great thing to offer, but you need the kitchen staff to back it up. On a Thursday night at 6:20pm we walked into a pretty packed place. There were 9 to 10 groups of people sitting throughout the restaurant and NONE of them had food. Thinking maybe it had to do with a fundraiser we didn't put much thought into it. Ordered our food at 6:22 and waited.... and waited..... and waited..... slowly the people there were getting their food. One by one the orders were brought out by the same gentleman from the kitchen. ONE..... BY..... ONE. 49 minutes later, our order of a Burger, Onion Rings and Chicken Sandwich came out. The burger was a little overcooked/dry, the fries were stale/rubbery, undercooked and SUPER salty. My daughters chicken sandwich was cooked well, but very salty. The onion rings are suppose to be hand made but I question that (see photos) and you guessed it, salty. They don't offer fountain drinks, just soda by the can or water bottles. When you're waiting for your food for almost an hour, having something to drink would have been great. We got our drinks when the food came out and yes, we could have asked for them sooner, but then had to pay for more once our food was ready. Their menu lacks any descriptions which is a shame. They offer a few burgers outside the norm with unique names, but nothing to say what makes up said burger. Like a Mulana Burger or Gyro Burger? One can assume I guess.... but without any descriptions, I think the restaurant is going to miss out on potential sales. Menu states "made to order" but we were never asked how we wanted the meal cooked or what we want on it. I was surprised when my Bacon Cheese burger came out already with Ketchup, Mustard and Mayo... lesson learned. I have no problem waiting for food and had the food been of better quality, we would consider going back. Yes it was a fund raiser night, but other reviews have stated just as long, if not longer wait times. If you have a limited time for lunch/dinner, don't expect to have time to eat once you get it. read more

A good option for halal burgers when you have exhausted all other burger places next to you. The seating inside was actually pretty nice and clean. We got a Mulana burger and their mango habanero and hot wings. The burger was good but comparable to something you could find at burger lounge. The wings had great flavor and a decent amount of meat on them. What really surprised me was their milkshake! The Oreo milkshake was realllly good and def worth a try. This place is a nice small family owned restaurant. Their menu consists of burgers, wings and pizza. I personally had the bacon cheeseburger and fries. It was very delicious. Plus the fried mushrooms added a nice appetizer. The food is very good but what will ultimately distinguish this place among other burger joints are the owners. After we finish eating our dinner the owner came over to our table to see how we had enjoyed our meal. She seem sincerely interested in our opinion and satisfaction. This has become one of my favorite restaurants in the Chicagoland area. My favorite item on their menu is the Philly Cheesesteak. I have had authentic Cheesesteaks in Philadelphia and this really hit the spot. Their Zinger Burger has a hearty thick fried chicken filet and is far better than Mr. Broast. I would definitely recommend it. Their most famous burger is probably the Mawlana Burger, which is grilled to perfection, juicy, and very tasty. Finally the staff is very engaging and the ambiance of the restaurant is different from other halal spots I've been to in the past. We really enjoyed our time at Fahrenheit 786. I didn't know about it until my daughter's school held a fundraiser there but it was worth the drive out to Glendale Heights. The customer service was impeccable from the smile you get upon entering all the way to the recommendations on what to eat from their sweet cashier. My husband had the molana burger and I had the philly steak with the chicken and beef combo. Let me tell you, they don't skimp on their meat! It was so packed with meat, toppings and flavor that I could only finish half of mine and saved the other half for later. The kids had their chicken tenders and they were not tiny like some of the other competitors in the area but were large pieces that even my kids couldn't finish. The flavor and breading were beyond delicious, and the seasoning they put on their fries made them so unique! We definitely enjoyed our time there, the establishment is not only delicious, with wonderful customer service but so clean and welcoming. The only negative of this establishment is that they are closed on Mondays. Got some wings and burgers yesterday. Theleg pieces were super tiny, not more than 2 inches long and very little to no meat on them. I dont know why restaurants skim on wings when they know they will be called out. Burgers were okay, the lettuce looked stale, again not a good idea to serve. The decor was clean and nice, and the tables were spaced out due to covid restrictions inside. The owner of the store took my order and was a very friendly guy, taking the time to explain the different burgers I asked him about. I ended up getting the Molana burger, which is a cheeseburger with gyros and 2 slices of beef bacon. At $9.50 with fries, the price is extremely good. It took about 10 minutes from order until I got my food. The flavor was good on the burger, the beef bacon really stood out with its smokey flavor. Word of advice, this is a messy burger to eat, so have your plate ready to catch the bits of gyros that fall out. The fries had a flavoring on them, but I liked the burger better. Great location and inviting, smiling faces when you walk inside. I liked the setup they had with a lounge area with comfy chairs in addition to the regular seating area. It takes a while for the food to come out, but if you call in ahead you won't have to wait too long once you're there. We ordered the fried chicken, zinger burger, and gyros cheeseburger. All of us enjoyed our food and would definitely return with more family. I would suggest for them to add other sauces at the tables for people who need them i.e bbq sauce, ketchup, hot sauce. Had their double cheeseburger and fries. So so good. First of all portion size was great, really filled me up. Second, all the fillings (onions, cheese, tomatoe, lettuce, pickles) went together synchromoniously with the generous sized beef patties. We came in expecting a standard greek/american gyro/burger/hotdog place and found something akin to it. We had the specialty burger and a regular double cheeseburger. The fries come seasoned with something like garlic salt, which was really tasty. Unfortunately the fries are awful quality. While they could have been improved with a fresher batch of fries, the brand they chose is not tasty, and really detracts from the overall good meal we had. The double cheeseburger was competent, and hot. Their specialty burger involved gyro meat, bacon and burger.
