I purchased a 2012 Honda Accord, with 60,000 Miles on it a couple of weeks ago. Yesterday, the battery died three times. I bought a jump start battery for $50, took 2 cabs $14 and ultimately spent $98 on a new battery. Toyota of Selma's position is that they tested the battery at some point prior to me buying the car and have no further responsibility. Also, just noticed, it's almost time for an oil change. I plan to bring the vehicle to another service department to get an assessment of fluids, brakes, filters whatever it might need now, or in the near future. Dropped my 2021 Chevy Malibu Sunday afternoon because an alert "shift to park" would come on when we turned off the car and exited even though it was in park. They had for three days with no call back from any service advisor ( I had to call them for an update even had to drive over on my lunch break to find out what was going on with my car) so call me today and they say there was nothing wrong with it and to pick it up because it hasn't "duplicated" that message. Once I picked it up I made sure to stop at the exit turn it off and sure enough it did the same thing that we said it was doing . Luckily Sal the service manager was walking out of the sales room so I yelled to him across the parking lot to come over and show him thinking this will be proof something is wrong. All he said I'm working on the bulletin with my warranty advisor since the bulletin isn't on your year it's only from 2017-2019 models. I would never BUY or take any car of mine back there for service. Nor would I recommend anyone going there. Doubt an actual manager at this place will read this and actually contact me. They can't even keep an employee long enough to build an actual relationship with their customers. read more

Let me start off by saying that we love the car we purchased. The salesman was nice enough, as you'd expect from someone trying to make a sale, they will tell you whatever you want to hear. When it comes to pricing, transparency, and document signing, they are lacking to say the least. I came to Farnhey automotive versus any other dealership because, as most consumers do I was pricing vehicles online. The vehicle that I wanted was priced for 63K per their website, not a third party website, their website Fahrneybuickgmc.com Adam the sales representative who handles pricing, REFUSED to honor the price advertised, stating that they had no control over the pricing because a third party did their pricing! Ok I could understand that, IF I had got the price from a third party website but it came from their website. This is none other than FALSE advertisement and I have reported them to the better business bureau for this, till this second the same car is priced around that much. I have purchased two other cars from Honda (within the last year) and my mother a Lexus based on their online prices and without hesitation these dealerships honored those prices. My husband was in love with this car so with my hesitation we proceeded with the purchase. While signing papers to take this car home they did not tell me the trade in value of the car I was trading in, I had to ask, they did not tell me the interest rate, I had to ask, they did not tell me the my monthly payment, again I had to ask. They were having us signing these legal documents without explaining what we are signing. Be a smart consumer and ask, because they wont tell you. I've had different experiences with Honda where they have explained everything in DETAIL and I knew exactly what I was getting into and felt no reserves. However, while I was signing here I felt no transparency, as if they were hiding details of the transaction. We get the car home and are completely in love with it. The next day Eric, who has us sign papers asked us to verify income. This dealership let us walk off the lot with a $70K car without verifying income?! You'd think they verify that BEFORE and only speaks to their level of incompetence and thirst to make a sale. A few days later a light to my car that I've had only 3 days, came on. My husband calls the service department and they are rude and seemingly unwilling to accommodate our schedule to resolve the issue. We took the car to another GMC certified dealership and they fixed is ASAP. I will NOT be buying another car from here. If I were you, I'd strongly consider another dealership. read more

I bought a brand new vehicle from fahrney in 16 and from the upcoming months I already had issues with the vehicle it gets horrible gas mileage I have constant check engine lights and issues I know my vehicle it is miss firing i see it everyday and they tell me they don't find nothing so I have to pay for diagnosis. I took my truck before my 40 thousand about the vehicle loud banging into gear on incline i recommended to tighten the e brake they said they dont see nothing wrong. I took it yesterday told them about it again and their response is lets see how much it is too tighten your e brake when i brought before 40 thousand and warranty doesn't cover. My girl took it 1 time they ignored they left her waiting with no explanation for over 6 hours I had to call fahrney on why she was getting ignored. Went to look at a vehicle from this place. Salesman was very nice but once we went in to discuss numbers the "managers" were pushy and kept trying to make us say we had a deal without discussing payments, final price, APR number. When we asked for the numbers they ended up give us a hand written guessamation of what they think it could be. They said because of the hour the numbers could not be definite at this point. So we decided to leave. We asked for the "paperwork" to look over and discuss once we got home and even that the "manager" was holding onto like if we were asking too much. I should of walked away and never looked back. But we decided to revisit the following day. Again, dealing with the same "managers". Unwilling to negotiate; acted as if they were giving us a deal even though cargurus said their pricing was over priced. We ended up walking out....stay away from this dealership. I traded my 2006 Lincoln LS for a 2012 Toyota Camry Hybrid and only got $1500 for my LS on 6/1/19. Which was paid off and I could have easily sold it for $4500. I now have a $314/mo car payment. The sales manager, Jacob, told me that it would get 40 mpg in town, which is why I traded since I'm a Lyft driver. It actually gets 33.4 mpg. The car makes an excessive amount of noise from the body. Sounds worse than a truck. I was told it was due to the moon roof causing the frame to flex. They said spacers could be ordered to fix it but it is not covered under the 25k mile warranty I purchased. It's very embarrassing for me since I Lyft passengers and they look at me like there is something wrong with my car. I was just told by West Coast Tires in Fresno that the tires on the Camry are showing tread on the inside and will need to be replaced soon. I have purchased several used cars from Manteca Ford, Sunnyvale Lincoln and Livermore Ford/Lincoln. They were all certified and had new tires. I will never purchase another vehicle from Fahrney in Selma. read more

The appraiser was late to our appointment, he said he wouldn't give me my asking price and he doesn't know why the manager would tell me that! read more

Stay away from this dealer at all cost. Over price to begin with. Will say anything for the sale. Example: we are giving you 29,000 for your trade in. Me; why does it say 25,000 on the paper work. Them; "oh you get it back on the other truck so you pay less in taxes" that was a lie. Them; you get 3 free oil changes... nope! Only got two. I spend 70,000k and it was the most dis-honest experience I have ever had! One year later I'm still having problems here. Never again!!. read more

Could be a coincidence but I find it odd that the listed price of the vehicle was increased $1,000 after I was talking to the sales guy about the car. Also, after speaking with his manager, he came back with a price that was literally their increased listed price (not including taxes or fees). read more
