Love stopping by Fair Trade when i'm in the area thanks to the mellow atmosphere (local art featured on the walls that rotates monthly I believe) and the background music. I've had a handful of the food items in the menu and have been satisfied each time - they have a larger menu than I would have expected so there's something for everyone. Lots of seating options both inside and outside. The staff are friendly and easy to communicate with when ordering and deciding what to get. Had a couple of different drinks here but the Guerita is my favorite. It has amaretto, white chocolate, espresso, and milk. Had a couple of different baked goods here but the M&M Blondie Bars are my favorite. The sandwiches are good too, my favorite is the Tuna Melt. They have a food menu, drink menu, and ice cream. Prices are reasonable and they have two restrooms, just ask for a key. Seating is varied, there's large spaces and smaller ones. I usually can find a spot anytime of the day. For parking, there's the free parking garage right next door, entrance near FEZ, or you can park along Portland St. read more

Hands down still my favorite coffee shop. Perfect place to study, get some work done, or catch up with friends. They currently have a love coffee flight which is a must try. Came here with my partner to try this location but ultimately disappointed with our experience. While waiting in line to order the people in front of us had let the employees know there was hair in the food and that was already a red flag. Me and my partner waited an hour to receive a simple croissant & burrito. The food was so bland and was not worth waiting for. My partners food was not even cooked correctly & didn't enjoy their food. The croissant was just okay. I order the amorcito drink and it was awful as well. My partner had a chocolate shake and it was pretty bad as well. The inside of the place is cute though. I would not recommend anyone to come eat here just because they saw a cute tik tok. My sister and I ordered a chorizo sandwich, and it did not taste anything like chorizo... I took one bite and when I looked at the sandwich it had a hair in it. I stopped eating while I told my sister it didn't taste like chorizo and I started to take the meat out from the bottom for her to taste it and when I pulled it out a whole hair followed it... after that I did not eat it anymore. My sister and I were so disgusted at not only one but TWO hair in my sandwich. We asked for a refund as cute as the place is, any environment that sells food or drinks should have them have their hair up and away from their face or wear hair nets. This is the Coffeehouse I do my weekly study at on Wednesdays. I luv their chicken curry sandwich with side salad. Dirty chai my top favorite coffeehouse drink regardless of coffeehouse I go to. Now FairTrade has introduced me to my second favorite drink called the Phoenix cold brew coffee Amazing. They have solid internet connection which to me should be a staple of any coffeehouse. I had another coffeehouse I luv close to me but their internet was crap. The customer service is always good. Also, old school comfortable chairs and couches, not that commercial get in and get out atmosphere. Winner on all levels. read more

One of my new favorite coffee spots in Phoenix! Such a gorgeous interior with plenty of seating for studying or working. They play good music at a reasonable level and have very friendly staff. I got an iced oat milk mocha that was smooth, creamy, and delicious! I love coming here but unfortunately not after today, i usually get their café de olla latte which is really good , I've had their matcha but it's more on the sweeter side. I'm big on service and today was not it for me. The girl behind the counter today was not very nice and seemed annoyed when I asked her for a drink carrier and straws for my drinks. Even though it's too loud for me to personally want to sit down and work inside the shop due to it's busyness, I can see the appeal in wanting to go to this coffee shop and complete work there. I am giving it 3 stars because the food was mediocre for the price as well the matcha latte I received, it was $30 for a tiny croissant breakfast sandwich with a small side of potatoes. It did not fill me up at all, and if the sandwich and latte were better tasting I would not mind the price but overall it was all an underwhelming experience after I was really looking forward to go after they were closed for renovations. read more

Biked here from the Kimpton, for an evening pick me up. I ordered the "Chagaccino" because I don't like super sweet coffees filled with sweeteners and cheap milk. The young lady making the coffee suggested I get it as a cold brew with some oat milk... and it came out delicious. The coffee does stay a bit dark even with milk yet does still have a creamy taste. I recently went to check out this coffee shop and was excited to try their coffee flight I had seen on Instagram. The coffee flight was ok. I then ordered a hummus plate (jalepeno hummus). The hummus was very tasty, but the carrots and cucumbers were old. The carrots were dried up and same with the cucumbers. The cashier didn't seem welcoming. I am currently visiting the PHX area and I thought I'd look for some great coffee spots. I came across Fair Trade on here and it did not disappoint. From the moment I walked in, the Spanish music playing, the art, the ambiance was simply wonderful. I told the beautiful woman behind the counter (had glasses on) that it was my first time in. She then recommended the Jefita Cold which I absolutely LOVED. I can definitely tell she loves her job and it showed. I sat at their bar area which is close to register. As I was sitting there, there was a moment where it seemed they were getting a bit busy, in that moment I noticed a gentleman walk in, he seemed to be very hot, he was sweating, carrying multiple backpacks and while I do not want to assume he was homeless, his spirits seemed defeated by the heat. Since the line was long, he moved to side and asked the woman behind the counter (gray pants) if she would please refill his water bottle...she then in a rude tone says "You have to get in line." the gentleman responded (I could not hear what he said) but I did hear her response which again was..."You have to get in line." Only this time her tone was a lot more RUDE than the first time. My heart sank. While I know that people in the service industry are always hard at work and hard work it is, this in my eyes, was not how you speak to anyone. I encourage everyone....that while the hustle of the moment makes it hard for us to see who is standing in front of us, we must always try and remember that everyone deserves to be treated with kindness and dignity. Fairtrade has easily become one of my favorite coffee shops to meet up with friends. They always have friendly service, great drinks and good food. I love their Guerita Latte and I always get their bagel breakfast sandwich. I really enjoy their outdoor area. Their coffee flight is a must at least once! My only complaint is you have to pick up your coffee at the bar which makes sense but because they get so crowded it can overcrowd the bar area. They do give you a number to put on your table and your coffee flight and food get brought out to you. Definitely must try! read more
