This cute cafe is open daily and 7am-7pm Parking was ok since there was street parking available Inside was very nicely decorated, spacious, clean, and had plenty of indoor and outdoor seating Service was friendly Pricing was a little pricey so expect to pay $9 for matcha drinks and most of the food was $7-$10+. Got the Matcha Flight ($18) and it came with 3 flavors - strawberry matcha, banana cream, and coconut cream. The matcha was ok and not as rich as I was expecting since they use ceremonial matcha but it just tasted average. The drinks were a tad too sweet even after giving them a good stir. My favorite was the strawberry matcha since there were bits of strawberries and it tasted very refreshing. The banana cream was decent and had a hint of banana without being too heavy. My least favorite was the coconut cream because the coconut was very overpowering so I definitely couldn't taste the matcha. The PB Power Toast ($7) was pretty good but a little pricey since it was pretty simple and easy to make. It was basically just a slice of bread with sliced bananas and honey drizzle and cinnamon on top. It tasted pretty good and not too sweet but seemed pretty basic for the price. The Breakfast Croissant ($9.25) was delicious! The croissant was crispy and it was stuffed with two fresh eggs and ham and cheese. Definitely recommend! Overall, I thought the food was decent but the Matcha flight was definitely overpriced and nothing tok special so most likely won't recommend or reorder.

Ordering was quick at the front and the worker was friendly. They seem to have a lot of trendy drinks, so I decided to try a iced banana cream matcha. It was pretty good, but feels like it could've had a touch more of the banana flavor. Otherwise, worth trying! I'd like to try their matcha flight next time. For food they have pastries, burritos, bagels and sandwhiches. I got an avocado toast with a fried egg which was yummy and filling :) I'd recommend this place to anyone who wants to try
I am trying local coffee shops with my friends and I will submit. I'm having a great time doing so and Fair Trade Cafe did not disappoint! First of all aesthetically it is so cute and here I came on a Sunday and they had a DJ who played the best mix of music and created such a vibe! And sometimes when they have the DJs in the restaurant, it's too loud and overpowering the DJ here did a good job of providing music that you can vibe to, but not wear it so loud that she couldn't carry on conversations and still enjoy yourself. My friend had ordered us a coffee flight and a Matcha flight and to be honest the market plate was my favorite. I like both coffee and Matcha, but their flavors really stand out the strawberry Matcha and the banana cream. Matcha were my favorite favorites. The banana cream had such a delicious flavor and undertones to it, along with the fact that it had cold foam on top. I enjoyed it so much that I actually got a full-size cut to go. I also had a chocolate croissant which was delicious and my friend had a blueberry muffin. I tasted as it was also delicious. They were heated so they took a minute or so to come out because it was a busy day, but I do like that they do bring your treats out to you and I think the team here was super friendly and engaging and I really can't wait to return.

The matcha, though, still isn't our favorite. We have tried the 3 matcha flight and the strawberry matcha, but it tasted more like sweet strawberry milk than matcha. Very sweet and heavy on the strawberries. They don't offer gluten-free pastries, but they do have gluten free bread for sandwiches. Service not has not been that great, it often feels like we are interrupting the staff to order. We will probably give it another try and hope it keeps improving each time because it's such a great location and coffee shop!
I saw this cafe a lot over social media and TikTok, so I definitely had to stop by and try. It's located right next to a free parking garage, so parking is super convenient. Right when you walk in, you can tell this is such a cute and aesthetic cafe. We got the matcha flight, which comes with a strawberry cream, coconut cream, and banana cream matcha. The drinks are about half the size of the normal size, but this was a nice option to try their different flavors. Unfortunately, I think their matchas are a bit too sweet, with their banana cream being way too sweet for me. I was a fan of the coconut cream matcha, however. I wish it was a little less sweet, but still yummy nonetheless!
This tucked away café is a gem. I had to stop in after meeting a client in the area and I could see the line and hear the music. That's what dreamy in. Not to mention I hadn't been there before. It's a whole vibe. Very busy on the weekends flowing with coffee, laughter, and amazing aroma's coming from the kitchen. The DJ was playing the hits and plenty of space to dive into some work study if needed. It was well worth the wait. Great customer service. I'll definitely be making a trip back for that amazing looking match flight.

They knew exactly how to make it and handed over a perfectly balanced cup with deep espresso flavor and just the right touch of milk. Smooth, strong, and finished before I wanted it to be. Heard about their matcha flight through TikTok. The matcha flight comes with the strawberry cream, coconut cream and banana cream. All three use ceremonial matcha according to the menu. The coconut matcha was the best out of the three, as the other two were too sweet for my liking. The size of the flight were smaller than expected so we also ordered a regular sized double matcha and another coconut cream. The double matcha was also topped with whipped cream. Sweetness was on point, but it didn't taste like high quality ceremonial matcha. Aside from the matchas, this cafe offers other drinks like coffee and smoothies. They also have a variety of pastries, sandwiches/wraps and breakfast. There are plenty of seating inside and outside the cafe. I'd say this is a great spot if you're starting to get into matcha.
I chose this spot because of the matcha flight. And is did NOT disappoint! It's a really cute cafe with a lot of feminine charm; they have a working wifi, food/snacks, and drinks beyond coffee. And it's dog-friendly. I went on a very busy morning, so service was lacking. I paid for a sandwich with gluten-free bread, and was later informed (after paying the upcharge for the bread) that they were out of the GF bread and could only make the sandwich as a salad. (No refund on the bread charge, as I forgot). It also took a longer than usual time to get my dining companion's croissant.... 10-15 min passed before she had to follow up; and then it took another 5 min or so after to come out. But it came out warm! Another area of improvement: serve dine-in drinks in normal mugs to cut down on paper cups and single use plastic tops while also keeping your tea/drinks hot. The star of the experience was the matcha flight, which you can only get it cold. Alt milks available. Each variety was a DELIGHT (honestly, Ic could never pick a favorite; all so good) and would order that again--perhaps to share because it was a lot of caffeine.
A very cute coffee shop with plenty of tables to work, study, and hang out. I had the chance to try the coffee and it was some of the most unique coffee I had ever tried. Their specialty coffees are delicious and definitely worth trying on your first visit. They made my coffee pretty quickly and I was able to sit and enjoy it. Because this coffee shop is in the downtown area, there is not parking lot. There is paid parking right across the street.

Not bad matcha! The space is super cute and perfect for chatting with friends or getting work done. We came in around 2:30 on a Thursday and got our drinks within 10 minutes of ordering. The service was quick and the workers were nice. We ordered a matcha flight which comes with a banana cream matcha, strawberry cream matcha, and a coconut cream matcha. The quality seemed a bit inconsistent since the strawberry one was super strong and matcha forward whereas the coconut one had little to no matcha flavor and was predominantly coconut. There were also a few clumps in the drink but that didn't affect the texture too much. My favorite was definitely the strawberry since it was the strongest. The flight came in at a little over $20 (we got oat milk) which was quite pricey because the drinks were super small (probably the size of 1.5x a normal matcha) so we paid double the price for variety lol. The purple matcha was just too beautiful to not order. It's a dollar or two extra for the purple whipped topping, but heck, it's worth it! It kinda tastes like fruity pebbles. Very good! There isn't a lot of space to order and the line quickly reaches the door but there's plenty of seats once you order. I saw a lot of people working at their laptops and such! Fair Trade Cafe is a super cute and aesthetic spot -- definitely the kind of place you want to sit in and chill for a bit. They have a solid menu with tons of drink options, and if you're a matcha lover, this is the spot to visit if you're in AZ! So many good matcha choices and honestly they delivered! The barista was also very friendly and knowledgeable about all the drink options they had. That said, the long wait time pretty much overshadowed the experience. The line itself wasn't long at all, but the drinks took about 30 minutes to come out?? Definitely not a grab-and-go situation. Our friend received her drink within 5 minutes of ordering and the rest of our group ended up getting ours half an hour later -- which was kinda crazy considering we all ordered around the same time. Once we finally got our drinks though, they were hits! Some were for sure on the sweeter side, but still enjoyable and well made regardless. I ordered the Banana Cream Matcha with oat milk and it did not disappoint. It's definitely one of the sweeter matcha options on the menu, so if you're into that, you'll love it. If not, I'd probably go for something less sweet. Overall, I'd recommend stopping by if you're in the area. Just know it very well might not be a quick stop LOL -- but worth a try it if you're down to hang out, kill time, and enjoy the chill vibes. read more

I have seen this place all over social media and seen that their matcha looked really good. My sister and I stopped by on Friday afternoon and there was a small line to order. We waited about 10 minutes until it was our turn to order. The cashier who helped us order seemed friendly and spoke softly. I ordered one of their seasonal pumpkin drinks as a matcha and asked for a small. My sister ordered before me so she had found us a table as I was done ordering. We sat down and many people ordered after us. By this time, there was three employees out and two were making drinks. Drinks were being made not in the order they were ordered which did not make sense. Two girls who ordered after me got their matcha's way before I did. My sister waited 32 minutes for her matcha drink to be ready which is craazy..... A lady that had ordered before my sister and I seemed to be getting frustrated with the wait and we saw her go up and ask. The employee was superrrr rude to her and rudely told her that her drink was next. As we were walking out, we heard a man go up to the register and ask if he could cancel his order and get a refund as it was taking too long. My pumpkin matcha was watered down and not good. It was definitely not worth the wait, time, or money. read more

If you're looking for a place to hang out with friends or your morning, this is the place to go. When I went, there was a DJ out in the front. It was bustling with many people (which as an aside, meant it took a little bit to get my drinks). I had come here on the sole goal to buy the banana cream matcha latte. So.... Iced Latte: well brewed, no bitter aftertaste, a solid latte Banana Cream Matcha Latte: wonderfully-tasting, probably one of the best non-Japanese matchas out there, it has a strong sweet banana extract; however it overpowers the matcha taste fyi, but honestly, that's every single establishment that's not Japanese I would come back just for the banana cream Macha latte. Moved in the area and decided to try this spot. I ordered the Rose-berry matcha which was absolutely delicious. For lunch, I ordered the smoked salmon bagel with dill and cream cheese on an everything bagel. The bagel was so soft and light yet very filling. My friend offered a matcha flight and enjoyed the variety of flavors which included banana, coconut and strawberry. I can totally see why this place is popular among the locals. read more

Serving up good coffee & even better service! Upon arrival, this place was packed! The only barista on hand made it a point to welcome us & was very friendly. What drew me to this particular place, was that they offer both a coffee flight & matcha flight which I really wanted to try, but was tight on time. I opted for the Tiramisu latte which I seen featured on their social media & needed to try it for myself. We didn't wait too long despite there being quite a few orders ahead of ours. The espresso in the coffee itself was bold & excellent. The flavors of the tiramisu were a perfect combination of sweet & creamy that was not overpowering. Even the presentation in the to go cup was instaworthy itself! The vibe was chill, welcoming and great for anyone looking for a place to work or study. They also offer small bite options for those who come hungry. Looking forward to returning and trying out other fun menu & seasonal offerings! read more

I would really love to rate my experience 4.5 stars, but overall it was a great cafe. The matcha flight option is very fun and unique, I would definitely come back and bring a friend who is also a matcha enthusiast to share with. I just had the banana cream matcha. It was a pretty sweet drink overall BUT not the matcha itself (had its own earthy flavor) - a fun dessert drink for sure! I also had the chorizo croissant which had a nice flavor profile. Unfortunately, the chorizo being in tough slices rather than ground up made it difficult to enjoy. I couldn't bite through the chorizo pieces, so they plopped out on my plate. Came by mid afternoon on a Saturday and it was pretty crowded; the line was out the door but it did move fairly quickly. I really loved how organic the interior looked and felt. I ordered the seasonal flight and a turkey sandwich. I was informed that the flight would take at least 15 minutes - and it did. My friend's food came out and I'm pretty sure I saw the server carrying my dish as well but served it to another table. After about 10-15 more minutes of waiting, I inquired about my order and was told that it was "lost" and they would remake it. They brought it out after probably another 10 minutes and apologized for the mishap. The sandwich looks very full from afar but in reality is not very full at all - About two slices of turkey, one slice of cheese, and a small handful of greens on a lotttttt of bread. The fillings were concentrated in the center of the sandwich and the edges were just bread which was Kind of disappointing for $13. The seasonal flight sounded amazing but was also just okay, especially for $20. The love on top chai was so sickeningly sweet that I couldn't even drink it, the rose-berry Matcha was also pretty sweet but a little bit more balanced, and the tiramisu latte was my favorite as it was the least sweet and had a generous serving of crunchy flavorful cocoa nibs on top. Some staff members were smiley and cheerful and attentive and others seemed annoyed when we spoke to them or asked a question. I think Fair Trade Coffee has great potential and great ideas that could be pretty outstanding with a little bit of polishing. read more

Lines were long and it was worth every moment in the end. We came on a very busy Sunday determined to try the Matcha Flight and some breakfast. To my pleasant surprise they had more than one flight with their Matha Madness themed flight which included the ube matcha I was dying to try. We ended our order with their matcha madness flight, regular matcha flight, Cubano sandwich and avocado toast. We were given a number and told our food would come out of us and to listen for our drink ordered they called by name. Everything came out fairly quick. They were quite busy so we expected it. Our food was delicious. I loved the avocado toast and all its flavor. Our drinks were phenomenal! All were so good, but my fave was definitely the Ube, banana and probably earl gray third. However the strawberry was a top contender. We lucked out and found a small table near the window for the two of us. There is also a patio out back. If you're unaware and downtown gives you anxious vibes regarding parking don't fret because there's a parking garage directly behind the building with two hour free parking. Easy in and out with driveways on each side of the building or enter. Prices were fair for what we ordered an even with how busy they were service was still great. Did I mention the Ube mMatcha was so good we ordered two more to go ? You gotta live a little! read more

I've visited Fair Trade Cafe a few times and have always had a great experience, but this was my first time trying their food. I ordered the breakfast burrito; it wasn't quite what I expected, but it turned out to be a pleasant surprise! It was flavorful, not dry at all, and the portion was just right. I sat at the bar during my visit, which gave me a great view of the staff preparing drinks. I ordered the tiramisu latte, and it was fantastic; bold and coffee-forward, with the tiramisu flavor still shining through. I'd definitely get it again. That said, watching the baristas put together their matcha flights made me excited to try one on my next visit; they looked amazing! read more

Fair Trade got a major uplift in the last year! I miss the old look but also love the new look. Coffee is always good, some of the drinks are a little pricey but nothing out of the ordinary compared to other places. Pastries are decent and I've only tried their turkey sandwhich but I enjoyed it! Service is friendly but they're very busy and focused when it's rush hour. I like that it's a cool place to work or study. Solid 5/5 place! read more

I had the opportunity to check out Fair trade for the 2nd time recently and it was a lovely late morning spent. First off, there's plenty of seating outside and inside. Great space for anyone who wants to work or study and have a snack or some coffee/matcha drinks. I love their seasonal menu and ordered the iced Churro latte (beautiful & delicious!) as well as the Guerita (I couldn't really taste the white chocolate or amaretto though) and we also ordered a couple of breakfast sandwiches. They came out nice and hot and faster than expected. The employees were friendly and available. I'd definitely go back and try their flight next time, they look fantastic! read more

I've seen this place on my Instagram so much so I had to check it out. Specifically I needed a tiramisu latte stat. So I went and got one, half decaf with oat milk. The coffee isn't cheap by any means but it comes in a large cup! It was quite delicious... I don't want to know how much sugar is in the coffee though. It has chocolate sauce waterfalls and a delicious cold foam on top. Every sip was magical. It was busy on a Saturday 12/1! As expected. It's so cute inside with pink theme! read more
