    One of the most perfect stays I've experienced in a hotel as of late. I checked in as part of a bridal party and we stayed in one of the suites. It comfortably slept the four of us. I'll also note that we were loud and boisterous and called the front desk and made numerous requests. The staff was beyond accommodating and met each request with a smile. The room was extremely clean upon check in and well stocked with all of the necessities. It also had a mini fridge and microwave. That's always a nice touch and we did get good use out of it. Other great things about this hotel would be free parking and of course a well stocked free breakfast. We made sure to take advantage of everything. The pool area was small but nice as well. One small thing that was annoying was the size of the fitness center. The four of us wanted to workout together but literally couldn't all fit in the gym together. I know hotel gyms are notoriously small but this one was just sad. But chances are you aren't a heathen like me and you don't work out on vacation anyways. Really not a a big deal for most people. I highly recommend staying here. Lots of restaurants and good malls only minutes away. Good value for your money. Our bridal party had fun. Would stay again if in the area.

    About a month ago I stayed at this property and had a poor experience, which I shared through a customer satisfaction survey. Some of my issues I experienced were blood stains on the drapes in my room, and the toilet didn't flush properly. Also, the alarm clock and TV didn't work and the front desk staff was RUDE when I reported these issues! The GM emailed me back what was clearly a form letter in response apologizing for the experience and stating they would do everything possible to make it right. As it turns out I had to stay at this location again against my better judgement last week - and I was assigned to the SAME room (what are the odds?). Even though my front desk experience was much improved - great even, and the alarm clock and TV seem to have been replaced, I was shocked to find that the drapes still had the same blood stains (how can that room be cleaned daily and no one notice this - and how could it possibly be left there after a customer reported it?) Also - the toilet wasn't fixed either and would only flush if you stood there and held the handle down! It's just beyond understanding how these issues could have been left for another customer to experience after I specifically reported them a full 30 days previously. Upon checkout, I emailed the GM as he had provided me his contact information last time - and at this point, one week later, I have yet to even have my email acknowledged...just another sign that the customer's experience has absolutely no importance at this location. Going forward I will guarantee that I will not stay at this location when I am in the area every month, and I will personally ensure that my colleagues will not book at this location either. As a recent Marriott convert, and someone who spends a significant amount of time in hotels, this is not what I have come to expect from this brand. Fortunately, my experience at every other Marriott property has been the opposite of this one, so I am confident the issues here are isolated ones, and are a direct representation of the leadership's lack of commitment to excellence at this property!

    I am giving this hotel 2 stars because of the construction, location and the bed is very uncomfortable and the AC unit is super loud. I was moved to a new room because the room TV didn't work nor did the refrigerator. Oh I will not stay here again.

    Not the greatest place I have been. Towels looked worn out. Not enough traditional Marriott touches. When I first checked in, I went to my room just to find out someone else was sleeping in there. They then gave me an upgrade to a suite, come to find out same room I had before. All front desk did was take a couple dollars of my bill. Not my 1st choice when coming back to this area. Breakfast is subpar not many choices just not the marriott flare that it normally comes with. For being a Gold member I thought I would get treated better. Too bad.

    You know how people say "I would give it negative stars if I could"? Holy smokes... I would give it…read moreone negative star for every second that I had to stay here. Where to start: The front desk was awful. You usually just stand there and wait for someone to come to the empty front desk. Even then, the person you see tends to operate as though you're annoying them or preventing them from doing something they really want to do. The lady gave us our keys and didn't bother to tell us where the elevator was, how to get to the room, where the pool is, or where the gym is. Must have overlooked it. The first room I had seemed to be occupied or not ready, based on the trash piled outside, my key not working, and noises I heard inside. The front desk then gave me a second room that had the latch on the door busted and completely missing AND THE DOOR WOULD NOT LOCK. I hated having to complain yet again, but basic security, at a minimum, should be there. The young lady finally "upgraded" me to a more spacious suite. The suite was fine, but the bathroom is disgusting, stained, and smelled bad. Not only that, I could hear the people in the other rooms arguing as well as the people outside, and kids crying from another room. Nightmarish. I honestly can't emphasize how badly I wish I had never stayed here, nor how very much you should stay away, and the certainty with which I will never stay here again.

After getting help to get out I reported the incident and they took the report refusing to give me a copy. I asked for a rubber mat to insure that those staying with me would not experience the same fate. They NEVER RESONDED. I needed to go to the ER and came back with a sling. I was not asked by anyone in the front desk, or higher if I was okay or asked if I needed anything. It was as if nothing ever happened. I walked over to housekeeping and asked them for a rubber mat for the tub. They said the hotel DIDN'T HAVE ANY. We needed to take TOWEL BATHS each day to avoid the hazard. When I got home I made several calls to inquire about liability information. I finally got a number they assured me could help me, but all I could get was a message machine and no one returned my call. We were also on the first floor and EACH NIGHT AROUND MIDNIGHT there was yelling and fighting in the hall and no one at the front desk, not far away, brought anything to order or called the police. This experience was the worst case of not caring about the safety of their customers, no concern for the customer and neglect of the customers forget about hospitality and customer service! Needless to say, I would NEVER recommend the Holiday Inn Express Suites Woodbridge by HIG in Avenel, NJ.

It's probably the largest hotel in the area and was hosting a film industry convention while I was there. I have stayed at this hotel a few times before and my rating improved slightly this time, especially given they gave me a courtesy upgrade owing to a shortage of King bed rooms which I reserved, but there are several issues that keep the rating nearly the same. 1. Reservations are still executed centrally via Marriott and the wait time could be a moment, but was easier to navigate through the prompts this time. Staff are friendly and efficient at the front desk when one checks in and out. 2. The hotel lacks amenities of a hotel this size. It does have a pool, but has no shop evident where one could buy a charger, toothbrush or aspirin if one forgot to bring the like. 3. The upgraded King Suite had no microwave or refrigerator. The dark and smooth tile on the bathroom floor can become dangerously slippery if the shower leaks water running across that floor and the towel laid down on the floor does not catch all the runoff. You may not see the water runoff on the dark tile and could lose your footing. Be careful. The toilet paper could benefit from better placement, making it less awkward to reach. You will hunt around for light switches on the walls and next to your bed the first time entering the dark room. The televisions and room a/c unit worked well, but the a/c heating unit was a bit noisy. 4. At well over two hundred dollars a night for a King room, there is no breakfast voucher for the cafe on the ground level to the right of the entrance. The cafe has a very basic menu and they serve your order as if it's to go in a bag, with boxes inside. If you specify that you are eating in your room, that would be fine. However, it's wasteful of paper and cardboard when a plate would suffice and be easier from which to eat. As a captive audience, it's the only thing immediately within reach. A few scrambled eggs, bacon, home fries, twin pancakes and small coffee is nineteen bucks. Not bad, but could and would be better if competitive options were immediately available. This hotel benefits from a lack of real competition in the immediate area. The price points are a bit high for what you get and that is a consequence of a lack of real competition in the area, inflation notwithstanding. The friendly and respectful staff deserve your attention. The people who work here from the front desk to housekeeping have been great each time. 3.2 stars

The lobby is spacious, the staff is nice-ish, & the rooms are good-ish. But then you start to notice the details ... like: - The painters tape on the peeling ceiling. - The pillows with the consistency of almost-dry cement. - The dangerously large potholes in the parking lot. - The large security deposit required that didn't correlate with the quality of the hotel. & finally, the biggest offense of all: - The super pungent, overwhelming, inexplicable smell of sewage emanating from all drains in the bathroom. Most other lodging options in the area are either really expensive or really dodgy. This hotel is one of the only options that's sorta somewhere in the middle. I probably would not stay here again.

There's many options for rooms there..I believe the it goes through the letters A-M. They have doubles, singles, large rooms, smaller rooms, bigger bathrooms, and of course a heart shaped tub room, you know, for those romantic nights. Some bathrooms even have Bath and Body Works shower gel. As this could be considered a "love motel" there are rates for a few hours which is called the short stay, or you can do overnights. Pretty affordable too...I don't think I've ever spent more than 80 buck there, and check in was in the afternoon. Prices can be inconsistent depending who is at the front desk, and that's somewhat annoying. Some rooms will look better than others. I definitely came across ones with no lamp, no remote, some weird mark on the floor, a less than appetizing looking sink...but those things aren't typical. La Mirage amongst other 1&9 spots were extended hosts to many Hurricane Sandy victims, which I like and is very respectable. They could use some definite remodeling for some rooms, but overall, the La Mirage is a solid spot for your sleeping (and etc..ahem) needs. Oh and there's WiFi. The clincher!!

The bed is comfortable, my favorite are the pillows. There is no noise that I can hear from the 4th floor except for usual hallway noises when people are out and about. The parking is easy. I used the gym several times and it's never busy. I used the laundry room as well and very easy to operate. The front desk can give you change. The front desk has been beyond helpful during my stay. Highly highly recommend this place.

Extremely limited. Only flavored/sugary creamer for coffee. No 1/2&1/2. Had to go buy some. 3) Guy at check in was terrible. His customer service is so bad, the DMV is jealous. Couldn't understand a word he said. Made it clear my checking in was taking him away from playing on the internet. Wasn't even offered a bottle of water the first night. Had to buy one for $4. 4) Pillows are terrible. Had to go buy one. 5) AC is an old mini-split that just adds to all the noise 6) TV had about 8 channels so ended up having to watch TV on my laptop at night using sling One night here is long. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. We had an issue with our fridge maintenance guy came and replaced it. He's also a mixologist. Our room was very clean and spacious. The ambiance was very eclectic all the furniture was comfy. The Lounge at The Watt had great drinks and bar food was pretty good. We ordered the Bourbon chicken wings and steak and cheese egg roll weren't my favorite but the wings were good. If you go try the French 75. We both slept like babies our bed was very comfortable. I look forward to returning to the Watt. To all my Yelpers let's continue to eat our way through the world #foodie4life.

The only good thing about the hotel is the staff; they were all kind. The hotel itself should be ashamed to call itself a Tapestry Collection Hilton. First the room smelled old and stale. I have photos of the cracks in the walls. The chipped paint. The dirt along the baseboards. The shower floors totally chipped. The pipes knocking loudly every single morning. It was awful. I would never stay here again and recommend no one ever waste their money here.
