Seriously, there is nothing close enough you can walk to, so if you stay here, you'll be jumping back into your car to head out for a meal or shopping excursion. But having said that, we had a very satisfactory stay here. It started with plenty of parking spaces, a complimentary goodie bag at check in (cookies, pretzels, and water) and also included complimentary lobby coffee. Our check-in process went smoothly, our room was very nice, with a good-sized desk/workstation, flatscreen TV, excellent HVAC and WIFI, comfortable bed, surprisingly big bathroom and a good shower. The included breakfast was more than adequate, with a waffle station, scrambled eggs, sausage, oatmeal, three cereals and toppings, bagels, apples, bananas and yogurt. We were very satisfied with our stay and the value. Improvement Opportunities No breads, English muffins, pastries, etc. Bagels or Bust! Our bathroom door didn't really close without a struggle. You will need your GPS for this one. Hotel located in the middle of a corporate center (formerly Meridien Bank, which was my bank maybe 35 yrs ago). Area is not super well lit at night. Walking distance to nothing. Short drive to many restaurants and shopping areas. Hotel itself is fairly new, and was clean and in good physical shape. Could not check in online, so a short wait at front desk. Standard Fairfield breakfast, which is fine for one morning. Zero road noise due to location, so if that's important to you, this is the place. read more

As a chain, I am very satisfied, but this franchise is lousy. Inn is in a commercial park. No restaurants or even a gas station in sight. As a franchise, it charges you $3 per night to park in the middle of nowhere. Our double queen room needs a makeover. Lose and curling wallpaper in the bathroom and sleeping area. Very little space. Only one side table access between 2 beds. I had no wall socket for charging, no space for devices or a glass of water. Light above coffee area was burnt out. Find a nicer place to stay. read more

I'm a frequent business traveler and Marriott has been my hotel of choice for the last twenty five years. I stayed 4 nights. At check-in I was told that housekeeping only comes every other day. Not something that I appreciate. Work travel is tough enough but having an orderly room to return to is nice. This was not a very clean facility as I arrived. Hallways were dirty and I saw the same cereal crumbs and n the 2nd floor each day of my stay When my Ron was cleaned I was not given new soap or plastic cups. I used the same cup throughout my stay. I should have called but I was all in when returning to my room I just chose to "throw in the towel". I won't be going back when I return to Readng in November read more

I wasn't planning to post a review but after reaching out to both the regional manager and the president of the Titan Hotel Group chain with zero reply I'll share my thoughts here. Upon entry no one was at the counter which is fine but if you hear someone come in I'd think you'd head for the front counter without someone having to cough loudly to announce their presence. Compare this to another Marriott I stayed in the day before who knew my name when I approached the counter and I was off to my room in under 60 seconds. When I went to sit down in the chair I had to clean off a small pile of crumbs from the previous occupant. Then when I sat down there table was sticky so I did some cleaning. When I entered the bathroom I noticed soap residue on the sink, and a long hair on the towel. It's nice when the toilet roll is started so when it's not I notice it, which it wasn't. By the time I finished a shower I was in ankle deep soapy water, not my preference but at least the water was hot. I would have preferred to have a sink with a stopper but I travel quite a bit so I had one handy, just expected for this cost it would have been higher quality upkeep. I also prefer more than 1 washcloth and towel but maybe all the Covid insanity is causing things to be scaled back anywhere possible. As I was loading my car I was treated to the cigarette smoke of a couple employees taking a break. Not faulting them for taking a break but do I need to smell it? I would have given them a second try but since no one reached out I'm head down the street to the Courtyard. read more

We recently spent two nights with several other family members for a nearby family reunion and our stay was okay. It seemed that they were short staffed and overwhelmed by the number of guests staying for the weekend and not overtly attentive. Customer service was 3/5. Not horrible, but could be better. Here are the highs and lows of our experience staying here... The good: - Great room rates - Large common area downstairs - Pool and gym available - Free and ample parking - Decent warm breakfast with lots of options - They are attempting to be a tad more environmentally friendly with large bottles of soaps/shampoo/conditioner in bathrooms and turning over rooms every 2 days - Large lawn space (they are in an office park) if you need to let you kids expel some pent up energy from traveling The needs improvement: - Our room was not necessarily well cleaned. There was visible hair on the floor in the bathroom. I have experienced way worse, but it was obvious upon entry into the room. Some people in the lobby were complaining about how they only turn the rooms over every two days. I think that's so pretentious and winy...there is a labor shortage and if you need new linens every day and your bed made by someone else you have other issues. - The towels were rough and see through. I know I know I just made the comment above, but I will say this was probably the scratchiest of towels I have used. The label literally said basic haha! The Super 8 I have stayed at had softer options just saying...On a whole this is a minor issue. - They don't don't recycle and use disposable plates and utensils for breakfast. - They ran out of towels in the pool/gym area many times and did not have cleaning wipes for cleaning the gym equipment even after we brought this to the attention of the front desk staff 24 hours prior. - One of the treadmills did not function well and the gym area looked very tired and also needed to be cleaned. - They completely ran out of body wash and other included amenities. In truth for maybe $20 more a night we could have stayed at another hotel with an overall better experience and will probably consider this in the future. read more

My wife and I arrived early evening. Our room only had 1 bath towel, 1 hand towel, and 1 washcloth. No bar soap (or anything else) on the bathroom counter with which to wash our hands. The bottle of body wash attached to the wall of the shower was empty. I went down to the front desk and informed the attendant of the missing items and he somewhat reluctantly acted as if he'd take care of it. Over an hour later we went back to our room and none of the items had been delivered. I went back to the front desk and indicated this. The attendant went to the back room and brought out the towels and washcloth, but no soap or body wash. When I indicated that we still needed these items, he responded, "They haven't been dropped off?" I responded no and he nodded that he would take care of it. I returned to my room and in 10 minutes received a call from the attendant that he had "bad news" and that he had "looked everywhere for body wash, including vacant rooms, and there doesn't seem to be any anywhere." Further, that he "didn't understand how this could have happened" and he was "doing everything he could" and suggested that I could discuss it with his manager in the morning. I responded that although I appreciated his words, it left my wife and me unable to shower or even wash our hands. I bade him good night and hung up. Also, while waiting for the attendant to returned from the back room with the towels, I noticed two men who had just bought bottles of beer from the attendant. However, the attendant did not have a bottle opener to open the beers he had just sold them. So I ran back to my room, retrieved my multitool, and opened the beer bottles for them. Also, the card reader on one of the doors to re-enter the hotel lobby from the patio area was non-functional. I would strongly advise against anyone staying at this hotel, unless you enjoy being inconvenienced repeatedly. read more

We have stayed here for over five years, but this stay was quite disappointing. They had a shortage of toilet paper, were very slow refilling coffee, cream, eggs and sausage at breakfast, the sheets were poor quality, and they added a parking fee. read more

Was not able to access our room until after 8:15 pm. Check in time is obviously 3 pm. Showed up at 5:45 pm to check in. Was told room wasn't clean due to lack of staff, would be ready in 30 mins to an hour at the most. They would call my cell as soon as ready. Even though I had been on the road since 4 am & was very tired, went to dinner. After 1 hour 15 minutes no call about room. Tried calling hotel 6 times before someone answered. Front desk told me room still not ready. Asked to speak to manager ASAP. After 20 additional minutes still no phone call. Was so stressed & tired wasn't able to enjoy meal nor finish it. My sisters started calling around to surrounding hotels, all booked. Called corporate offices to put in complaint. Drove to hotel & saw 2 police cruisers leaving. Was on phone with corporate, whose name was Aidan & was very responsive & helpful, when reentered lobby again. Was told room still no available. Told them I was on phone with corporate. The initial front desk person, who has only been on the job for 2-3 weeks, was there with the GM Dave. It is almost 8 pm at this point. Obviously VERY frustrated I was very stern about wanting to access my booked room. The GM Dave was extremely unprofessional on how he handled the situation. He was not empathetic in the least bit. Another Fairfield employee walked in, who I found out later was a Sales Rep for the chain. Was not offered any apologies not even a bottle of water. Nothing to rectify any of the inconveniences. Dave got hot under the collar & asked me "if I wanted to stay at his hotel". And then stated I was to leave & he was going to call the police on me as well. I did not cuss, threaten, nor yell. I do take responsibility for my stern tone but not enough to justify his lack of professionalism. Dave the GM needs some additional training on management skills. Meanwhile I am still on the phone with corporate & they are privy to the situation. They end up calling the hotel directly & surprise surprise a room became available to us. If not for the fact it was so late & nothing else around was available I would not have stayed at this hotel!! I had to request them to discount my room. On a positive note the room was clean. Newer hotel & in a very quiet area but still close enough to amenities. Upon check out the next morning spoke with Alisha at check out. She was awesome! Friendly & accommodating. She stated to me that there was an issue with cleaning staff not showing "but that was not an excuse for how it was handled & that that should not been our problem" it should have been the hotel problem not the guests. I asked for a copy of my bill & it was still for the full price of the room, which I am disputing thru corporate & my AMEX. We also found out that another couple did not get into their room until 9:30 pm....6 1/2 hours after check in! I have never in my life been threatened to have the police called on me. When you live on the road week upon week you notice that's it's the small things that count. Whether it be a smile upon checking in, acknowledgement of your point status, and a simple thank you for choosing their hotel. Here I received it all and the cherry on top was a restaurant recommendation upon checking in without even having to ask. After hours on the road the relief of not having to decide where to go was a godsend. Then I was greeted by a clean room which can't be beat. I will be staying here when I pass through again. read more

Very clean, spacious King Suite room. Bed was great. Comfortable sofa for watching tv. Breakfast food was not great -- but my expectations have definitely lowered during COVID -- so I didn't really factor that into my review. Staff was helpful and personable. read more

I've been staying at Marriott hotel for almost 20 years for work. I'm Platinum for Life and am always treated like royalty. This is a brand new hotel as of last year and I've stayed here many times. It's clean and the rooms are very nice. Many room are suites which lets you spread out. I've had friends come over and have drinks and hang out. There is a large shopping center super close by with a number of stores and restaurants. Honestly, this a nice hotel and rates are sometimes cheaper than at the Courtyard. read more

I took my family (my wife and 2 kids) stay there 1 night, we checked in around 8PM after we finished Christmas village. We wait at the front counter ALMOST 30mins!!! NO ONE SHOW UP!!!! even the office no one is there. finally a lady came and help me to checked in after all the time we been waiting. I told her please DO NOT give me the room in the end and beginning of hallway and she said " i'll give you the room in the middle of hallway". She gave me room 344, after I went to my room and it's last room on hallway. I was so angry about it cuz my kids are very tired and wanna sleep alrdy. I went down to the front desk to told her is there other room that I can change, she said NO. I even tell her I'm willing to pay for upgrade to change room and she said NO MORE ROOM available!!! I had no chose to stay the room she gave me earlier. We went in to the room and my wife tried to close curtain, she was screaming and told me there is a large bug on the curtain........1st, wuh kind of service this hotel have for customers? no one at the front desk for more than 30mins? 2nd, A LARGE BUG inside the room?? What I thought would be a good experience, quickly became a nightmare!! First problem was the fact that the type of room (king w/ sofa bed--so we can sit comfortably while watching television) I had reserved nearly 3 weeks before, was not available. No reasonable explanation for this. I was reminded of a Seinfeld episode where Jerry had reserved a rental car, but the agency did not have it when he was ready to pick it up--his response was "Do you not understand the concept of the word 'reserved'?" Other than not the type of room I reserved, the room was fine; but the problems then arose in the bathroom. The walk-in shower does not have a safety grab bar (at check-out, the woman at the front desk insisted that ALL of their rooms had a grab bar; however, she was unable to find one in our room when I asked her to show it to me) and when wet, the floor of the shower stall is very slippery. It requires an immense amout of muscle power to simply open the door of the room. Seems like the door closer is fighting you all the way. It would be impossible for one person to open the door and manuver a luggage cart into the room, or into the hallway. The television's on-screen guide does not match the channels that are available, and we did not have a printed channel listing. The breakfast area was typical, but there was a problem when you try to dispose of your syrup-covered paper plate; the hole in the countertop (two places) is not large enough for the plate without being folded. Then, for the grand finale...the receipt was for $33 MORE than the TOTAL price provided by the e-mail which also confirmed our reservation!! Not even any consideration for the downgrade in our "reserved" room. In all fairness, I did eventually receive a significantly reduced charge for our 3-night stay; however, this was only after I complained to the corporate office. read more

Really bad experience at check in. I will never stay here again. I wish I stayed at the courtyard down the street. I stay at Marriotts all the time. At least 50 nights per year. This hotel try to gauge me for an extra 30 dollars to move from the first floor as I felt unsafe to the 2nd floor. It was 11:30 at night and they had plenty of rooms. Not cool! This was a awesome stay!! From the time we pulled into the driveway until the time we left. The ladies at the front desk were very cordial and friendly. I even noticed one of the ladies helping another guest checking in - and she had a problem, but worked it out so nicely. The room was very nice. Well lit, comfortable beds, just the right amount of amenities, clean bathroom, etc. And the breakfast- couldn't be better!! And Doreen- the breakfast manager (I guess that's the title) was so nice and welcoming and helpful. Check-out was painless and quick. Loved the location also. Out of the way of the hustle and bustle but close enough to all that we needed. Thanks for a great stay! read more

The staff here is extremely friendly and helpful. They were very accommodating to my family who were coming in for a weekend wedding and allowed us to check in a few hours early. The hotel is located close to shopping which is convenient for any last minute items you may need. Unfortunately, the pool is quite small but shouldn't be an issue for most travelers. read more
