I have been coming here for years and I really liked this place. recently I brought in a coupon that showed an expiration date of December of this year and they would not use the coupon because they said pricing changed last week. I understand cost has gone up but if you have a coupon out for the public that states a price with a valid expiration date you should have a sign posted in your building that shows that they are no longer excepting it. After the smog was complete he charged me the full price and would not accept the coupon, this is really unfair to the customers. read more

Took my car here today and got the smog done. Very fast and friendly service! I had brought my last car here also. A few weeks ago I tried to bring my car to another shop. I did not realize it wasn't fixed because I had just put in a lot of money to fix it so it would pass because the check engine light was on. I think the guy there knew it wouldn't pass but charged me anyways. He thought I would go back to him but I came to Fairfield Quick Smog instead. He checked it to make sure it would pass. Walked up and mechanic was very friendly and said come on in. Lady at the front is a sweetheart and handed me paperwork and showed me costs and it's a great price and great service. Went to get a smog check 4/9 around 8:45 am. One car was being done and another was in front of us. It went quick. Price is great. That's the only reason for 2 stars. Covid-19 guidelines were not fully followed. Cheapest place I could find BY FAR to smog a 1999 vehicle in the Fairfield area. Took 2 vehicles there. We went on a Tuesday at 10am, there were no customers so we waited about 30mins for both to be done. Nice worker, had a tv, some water, plenty of seating. I called to ask if I could make an appointment and the gentleman on the phone said I could just walk in. It was a little bit hard to find but was able to locate the office/test site. The gentleman that helped me was very friendly, there was no wait and the test was over in less than 20 minutes. I had a coupon that I left in the car and was going to grab it but saw that he charged me the coupon price. I was happy to pay it and thought that was a great customer service move! Where is Neeraj when you need him. Unfortunately he is away for a while. I always come here to get all my SMOG needs done for the past 6 years for my 99 Honda Civic and 98 Honda Accord. I come on a day that Neeraj is gone and the guy running the show today does not know what he is doing. Saying a part is illegal, when Neeraj who help me verify the part before installing on my vehicle is legal for California. Neeraj WHERE ARE YOU!? This guy here does not know what he is doing! Next time i will call and only come when Neeraj is around cause he is The BEST! This place is solid. Fast, honest work without all the hype. The test guy is well organized and gets the work done quickly. This was the 2nd time using this place for smogging my cars. They have EARNED my repeat business. The prices are very good too. I went on a medium busy day, but was still out in 35-40 minutes. No TV or frills, so bring a book - but it is really fast. I had a small issue that wouldve automatically failed my inspection. The tester noticed it before starting the test and told me so I could get it fixed. I have to say first off, I was skeptical of the reviews thus far for this shop because they all had 10 posts or less. I found a coupon in the snail mail and I realized they're the closest smog shop to our house so I figured I'd give it a try. We just moved here less than a year ago so we don't know the area well so it was a blind try for smog shops this time around. Also worth noting that I didn't tell him I found his business on Yelp. It's my assumption that any business that knows this prior to your experience will always try to butter you up in hopes that you'll post a positive review that isn't indictative of the overall typical experience. I called first just to find out approximate wait times etc. and if they could get my car in while it's still running warm (good tip for those wanting to help pass a smog). He told me he could get me in and out within 30 minutes or so at most. He was suprisingly very upbeat and talkative on the phone. At any rate I told him I'd be down within an hour. I found the place towards the very end of Western St, right before it intersects with Horizon. It's a very small business on the back-end of the parking lot there, so small you'll miss it if you aren't looking hard enough. At any rate I went in and gave him my coupon and registration. He gave me the form to fill out and immediately went outside and brought my car in. I filled the form out then sat down. Sent an email from my phone and text my wife and he pops through the door saying "you're good to go." It was pretty impressive how quickly he got it done. I didn't look at a clock but I'd have to guess it was below 15 minutes. He was talkative and helpful towards the end and I now know where to take my cars to get them smogged. Was an overall pleasant experience with prompt service and you don't feel like you're interrupting their day by asking a few questions about the process like I've had with many shops in the past. read more
