We pulled in while traveling north and found it to be an easy on-and-off exit with clear signage. Parking is laid out logically, with plenty of car parking close to the main building and truck parking separated on the other side and beyond the building, which helps reduce congestion. There is a single restroom building, and during our visit the bathrooms were clean, functional, and well maintained. Several picnic tables sit just off the parking lot, including a mix of shaded and unshaded tables, making it convenient to stop for a quick snack or stretch. That said, this is a basic, no-frills rest area with very little natural shade or tree cover overall, so on hot or sunny days it may feel a bit exposed. The walkways and surrounding grounds were clean, and everything appeared to be in good working order. Overall, this Mount Sidney rest area does exactly what it's supposed to do: provide a safe, and clean place to stop briefly before getting back on the road.

Real and fake service dogs are allowed. Drinks, motor oil and many items are somewhat over priced. But when you are on the road, convenience matters too.

When you check in they will inform you about the breakfast sheets that are to be filled out and turned back in the night before. Our room did not have a refrigerator, but upon request we were able to get one brought to the room. The showers were clean and great water pressure. Bonus point for heated floor, towel heater, and a bathtub that made doing a face mask even more fun!

This was especially problematic as we bought several slices just today and couldn't give them to the people they were for because of the taste. There's one particular "older" lady in the deli who is rude every single time we've been here. If you're going to shop here check your food and open all sandwiches to check the bread!!!!
