Not sure what happened to this place, this branch use to be my go to but this recent visit was horrible! I had service writer Jonah, had to reschedule since they didn't have any mechanics day of my appointment.. Didn't get a confirmation for a new appointment so I recalled to see if I could get a confirmation- never got it. Already off to a bad start. My appointment was at 11am for brake pad replacement, requested for both fronts and rears to be replaced when I checked in and was quoted a price. At 1:30pm I get an update to see if I wanted the rears to be replaced for an extra $400... I wasn't quoted any extra charges when I checked in and what on earth were they doing the passed 2 hours if they are just getting to the rear pads at this time??? Ended up telling them to only do the front pads. I didn't get the car back until after 2pm... so the mechanics took 4 hours for replacing ONLY front brake pads?? That's ridiculous read more

I normally bring my Buick to AAA is actually received great service until last Monday. I brought my car there because of check engine light. Arrived at the store at 8am and left it there. Now to determine what the problem is only required to hook the car up to a diagnostic machine or device to get the error code. After my car had been at the shop for almost 6 hours, I called them at 1:45pm to get a status on my car. They claim the tech was still working on it, although no one told me what the problem was. Said it should be done in 1 hour. At 2:53pm I got a text from the shop regarding vehicle condition report. They did a complete check on the vehicle, which I did not ask them to do and then said the car emission system needed replacement. When I got my car, after 7 hours, told them I would bring my car somewhere else. Like one of the other reviews charged me $165 for simply getting an error code and quoted me over $2200 some items not even part of the problem. When I got in my car it was so hot inside of it as what usually happens when a hard been outside all day. I will never bring my car there again which I really disappointed about. If you know what need to be fixed already than this is a decent place to get work done or if you like waiting 2 hours for oil change. They previously did some work for me which was quite pricey compared to other shops in the area but I went with them because of the reputable name .They will try to get you to pay for stuff you don't need if you aren't paying attention. $165 inspection they charged me for to do absolutely nothing aka a visual inspection (which is free at most places with any kind of service) and after 165 they still expect me to pay them to figure out whats actually wrong with my brakes no thank you won't be going back here good job guys. I've been going to this shop for years, and always had good experiences, until recently. The horn in my '93 Chevy truck didn't work so I brought it to this shop. They turned it over to someone named Junior who told me the horn button was rusted and not repairable. During this conversation he started shouting at me, which pretty much ended the discussion. So when I got the truck home I pulled off the horn button and looked at it. There is indeed light surface rust on the steel base plate but that does not impede the ability of electrical current to flow through the plate. That's one of the most basic principles of electrical troubleshooting, and he doesn't know that. It's the contact surfaces that are important, which is why the GM engineers who designed the horn button left the base plate uncoated steel. The spring loaded horn contact wire has brass connectors, and it fits into a brass tube. So I spent about 10 minutes adjusting the alignment of the V-shaped contact arm, as well as the alignment of the horn contact wire, and how about that, now it works. It strikes me as unfortunate that nobody there explained to this loud, incompetent, immature, obnoxious punk that he shouldn't shout at customers. Common sense should have told him not to, but never mind. So I threw 143 dollars out the window and had to listen to his abuse. I've been a CSAA member since 1979, and have always been impressed with the professional people working in that organization. So it's with reluctance that I decided I'll never go back to this shop, especially since everyone else who works there is unfailingly top notch. But I'm not about to throw away any more money because some idiot doesn't know what he's doing, especially if that idiot gets abusive. read more

I can confidently say that this AAA repair center exceeded my expectations for their outstanding service, honest price, professionalism and convenience. Junior helped me with utmost respect by taking my car right away for diagnostic. He followed up on the progress throughout the day for ordering parts and labor. They were able to fix my car in a few hours today! This shop is very clean and organized. You do not need to be AAA member in order to fix your car. But you get discount if you are a member. I got taken for $1300 and still had the problem, AAA Repair Fairfield never did contact me to resolve this situation. They suggested that I bring my vehicle in for another $300 and no guarantees, if that did not work, then it would be an additional $500. Look, I already gave them two tries at fixing the leak, now they want to get another $800.00. Parts were identified in Toyota's system but would need to ship from eastern distribution center. Eric ,the advisor called local Dealers and located the proper part. My experience on 5/6/2020 has made me 2nd guess my long term relationship with AAA. My family and I have been AAA members for way over 15 years. We have our cars and home insured with AAA in addition to our annual memberships. You would think a company as prestigious as this would have a quality repair facility. Maybe they do, but the way they tried to cheat my mom today says otherwise. My mom brought her car in for just an oil change. Hours later she gets a call saying that her car needed a new battery, a diagnostic for leaking oil, and a new CV driveshaft and then she authorizes the repairs. When my mom told me, what her advisor said, I was shocked! A new battery? The battery is only a year old. If a new battery was needed, there is a 3 year replacement warranty from where I purchased it from (AutoZone) that I could use. The advisor didn't even bother to ask my mom when it was last changed. A diagnostic for leaking oil? Our driveway is CLEAN. Haven't seen a leak ever on this car. A new CV driveshaft? Maybe she needed one but never were there any signs of wear from previous mechanics and we get this car serviced every 5,000 - 7,000 miles. I tell my mom to call them back so I can speak to them. When I speak to the advisor, he relays the repair order to me and I become further agitated. He tells me that they performed a FULL SYNTHETIC oil change for $69.99. I asked why and he said because my mom authorized it. Her Scion DOES NOT REQUIRE full synthetic! It only needs conventional oil. Then the advisor tells me "the battery replacement was only a recommendation and the only repairs they were going to do were the diagnostic leak and CV". I ask why they would put full synthetic oil in a car that doesn't need it and he says, "because it was authorized". I tell him to put a hold on the repairs. Angered, I tell my mom to take me to the shop so we can pick up the car and take it elsewhere. When we arrive, we're told that the oil change is done (which I was upset about) but whatever, we'll pay for the service that was done. The service advisor rings us up then goes to retrieve the keys. He takes a while to get our keys and then he says "your battery was removed and the tech went on break so we'll have to wait for him to come back to put your old battery back in. It will take about 30mins." I'm HEATED at this point because in our phone conversation, he stated that the battery was a "recommendation". If that was the case, why was the battery pulled in the first place? In addition to this, I observed how the other service advisors approached customers. In my observation, this facility heavily takes advantage of elderly women. An older lady came in and asked how much an oil change would be for her 2009 Toyota (Corolla). A different service advisor quickly said $69.99 for full synthetic. The lady was smart and said "ok, no thank you" and left. Why would they recommend a full synthetic oil change on a 2009 Corolla? Moments later a older gentleman came in and requested an oil change for his Toyota Highlander. Again the advisor quoted $69.99 for full synthetic. This guy was smarter and asked why? Then the advisor said, "well that's only if you need full synthetic. If you need conventional oil only, it's just $39.99." My mom then looked at me and said, "Hey! He didn't offer that to me. If that was the case, I would have just paid $39.99". This escalated my anger even more and simply ruined my entire day. We finally get our battery back in our car and I decide to take it to Toyota Vallejo to see if the repairs AAA recommended were needed. I show Toyota Vallejo the repair order and the advisor there said "Why did you get full synthetic oil? Your car doesn't need it. We could've done your oil change here for $38.99 and given you a discount with your AAA card." I then left the car with Toyota to do a complete multi-point inspection. I get a call 2 hours later and the Toyota Advisor said "Why did they recommend a new CV driveshaft? We don't see anything wrong with your vehicle. And far as your battery goes, it has a positive charge. If for whatever reason you need a new one, take it to Auto Zone first to get a replacement before having us change it if you need it" So there. WOW! AAA Repair, you FAILED! You need to change the letters to FFF because today, you earned an F in my book. You told my mom that the oil change was $69.99 when she could've got it for $39.99 but you never gave her that option. I smell greed. You never even asked her how old the battery was or where we bought it from, instead, you went ahead and tried to replace it when it wasn't necessary. And then, you write up a bogus oil leak diagnostic and CV repair? Get out of here! I'm DONE with this place. I blame all this on the service advisor. Either he's really new, disorganized, or dishonest but whatever he is, he is not trustworthy. DO NOT GO HERE! They take advantage of people. It's very sad. read more

I too, like my fellow Yelper, receeived a coupon in the mail for service. It came right on time because I was due for an oil change on my Mercedes Sedan. The past few years, I stopped taking it to the dealership for oil changes because of the ridiculous cost and the fact that the car is getting older. I got the coupon in the mail for a $49.95 synthetic oil change! What?!?! I had to check it out! It sounded way too good to be true! Even my mechanic charges me over $100, which is still a lot less than when I use to take it to the dealership! I called and scheduled the appointment for Friday afternoon. I walked into this beautiful new AAA Auto Center that use to be the old Sears Auto Center, located behind 24 Hour Nautilus. Apparently, it has been around for almost a year. I was greeted with a warm smile and a welcoming face. I was.asked if I wanted anything to drink, which was very kind, because it was hot day! Shaun was the person who helped me at the front desk. He explained to meet that the coupon couldn't be applied to my Mercedes because it required special oil and more than the average 5 quarts. I was a bit put off, needless to say I was not informed of this when I set up the appointment and told the person on the phone the make and model of my car. I came in from out of town to bring my car in. This situation could have left a bad feeling, but Shaun convinced me to wait and go ahead and keep my appointment. He also reduced the price of the oil change to match what my mechanic charges me and then knocked off a few dollars. I was in and out in about an hour or so. There is free Wi-Fi and a business work station room. The bathrooms are kept clean. The stAff is friendly and helpful. The oil change was quick and the price was reasonable. I would recommend this AAA AUTO REPAIR for all regular oil changes and maintenance repairs. I may have found a new place to take my car in for all my regular oil changes. read more

'Turned out I had a cracked flex plate (14 Town and Country) and needed to get it replaced. They kept me informed the whole time (4 days) and even looked for alternatives (replacement engine). My wife just had the worse experience ever with the DMV section of this department. My wife went in to transfer ownership and turn in the papers that were provided to us from them. My wife then goes in and the lady who was going to assist her with the transfer was not even trying to help her for some reason. My wife even facetime me so the lady could confirm that she is my wife and then says she has to charge me an extra $5 to add my wife to my AAA account. Which I comply. Another employee comes to see what is going on with my wife and the employee. You know that saying "How can I help You" that was all out of the door when my wife came in to make an easy transaction. She first wouldn't call me and said I had to be there. The other employee says you can call your husband. Then the lady asks for the plate number and mind you. The car is already on the policy but still asks for it. Then the other employee who tried to come in and help since the original lady was not trying to help at all and says. Oh if the car is in the system we can look it up. Then how come the lady who is currently "assisting" her is not even trying to help and the other person is? In the end when my wife saw the employee not trying to help or even look in the computer for the car she left upset and very disappointed. Will not return here for any services or even recommend due to the employee who is either having a very bad day or just plain I'm sorry to say "Lazy" to help. We just switched our car and home insurance to AAA and added the membership services. I decided to try out the dmv services they provide. The website and location indicates they close at 4:30. I leave work early and make it there at 4:06 and the young lady advises me they stop taking customers for dmv services at 4:00. I look around and most agents are looking down at their phones. I ask the young lady to please make an exception Bc it's super difficult for me to leave work early and that I made it there only 6 minutes after their cut off time. I also ask where does it say that your dmv services cut off at 4pm? Had I known that, I would have planned accordingly. I told the young lady I was not trying to cause an issue but it's just very misleading that online it says they close at 4:30 but does not state anywhere that certain services have a cut off time. This needs to be corrected so others won't experience this issue. read more

I have a restored 1967 Mustang. It is not easy to get it serviced and repaired due to the numerous aftermarket parts. I had a catastrophic failure of the front suspension and was 90 miles from home. I called AAA and had it towed to the nearest AAA Auto Repair Center in Fairfield, CA. First of all the tow service was great, the driver of the tow truck worked very hard to get the car loaded carefully. He called for a second truck and the two of worked as a team. The car was dropped off at AAA and Eric Isaacson, the Service Advisor handled it. I was so lucky. He knew Mustangs intimately and took a personal interest in seeing that it was properly repaired, expediently. It was a multiday task but he stayed with it, even on his day off! The repair complete, I picked it up with the confidence it was done right. So far it hasn't failed. I highly recommend them. read more
