I called this business to get an estimate on a torque converter replacement and I was told they do not do individual component replacements; they would only replace the entire transmission. This is absurd and would cost about 4+ times as much as torque converter replacement. I visited Edco Transmission for an issue I was having with my truck. I had been experiencing hard shifting and the check engine light was on. The staff was friendly and courteous, which I truly appreciated. They completed the work on replacing the solenoid, which was supposed to address the problem. However, after picking up my truck, I left the shop with the same issue--still experiencing hard shifting and the engine light was still on. I returned to the shop, and they suggested it could be a computer-related issue, but unfortunately, they didn't do that type of work or have any referrals. I asked if they could help with the cost of the work, given that the issue wasn't resolved, and they declined. I was disappointed that, despite paying for the solenoid replacement and the diagnostic work, I was essentially left with the same problem. I even offered to accept a refund on the diagnostic fee, given that the initial diagnosis seemed to have been incorrect, but that was also declined. While the customer service was friendly, the lack of resolution and support left me dissatisfied. I really wanted to trust them with my truck, but at this point, I was left to figure out the problem on my own. read more

Awesome shop here. Friendly professional service is top notch. Anthony was upfront and honest about my transmission. No deception at all. He test drove my 2014 Nissan Versa Note before putting it on the lift and mentioned "it's beginning to slip"...I felt a little apprehensive upon hearing that. I work and do gigs with my car so it didn't really surprise me. But it is still drivable for the work I do. They allowed me to go look at the work being done too. Brought my own new transmission kit that I'd bought online and it was a perfect fit. Received a discount too due to the explanation of where to find the filter on my car. Price was fair and not expensive which included the CVT transmission fluid. I highly recommend this transmission shop. I have a 2004 Tahoe they replaced the transmission back in 2021. recently when it was out of warranty something happened to the third gear slipping, and they pulled the transmission and fixed it for no cost. I highly recommend this place. They stand by their work. read more

Scheduled an appointment for a transmission flush. I was early, but Anthony got me started when I arrived. He asked questions and based on that said we should start with a diagnostic first and then determine what was needed. It wasn't my transmission causing the issue. He made a recommendation for a shop to do the work needed and didn't charge me anything. He could of just performed the service I requested and charged me, but he helped me instead. Came here because of their reviews looking for a flush. I talked to Steve who is very friendly and knowledgeable. He offered to put my car on the stand right then and take a look at my fluid but I chose to come back later that afternoon. They looked at my fluid and it was black so I decided to get a full flush. Steve gave me a stellar deal on the flush and it came with a free follow up fluid change. Steve is a lovely gentleman and Anthony knows his stuff. I'm happy to report that Anthony and the mechanics made good on their promise to find the new rebuilt transmission leak and they did. Apparently on the Infiniti there's three seals on the right side alone and one of those required replacement. The transmission is Ironclad it feels wonderful to the touch of my gas pedal. How can I describe a transmission service shop that is honest and exemplary to the core. I have been having trouble looking for a transmission shop for the past month trying to feel the vibes when I call for honest quotes. I've done my research on transmission jobs and I admit that pricing are very confusing, there are a lot of factors involved. All of my calls are "give me the worsts scenario" quotes. And I tell you that low balling a price under the market value is very unconvincing and I feel like Im going to get stick with a higher price in the middle of fixing it. Yes a couple of local business low balled me. I look at ratings too and those businesses have one star and most of the complaints are within a few days of driving the car had problem again. Transmission job is very expensive and I admit I'm very skeptical when I got the quote. Friends and family are saying that I'm crazy for paying this amount for a new transmission. They said for that price it's better to get another used car. But in reality...is it worth it to get another used vehicle not knowing what condition is the transmission in. Because if the transmission gives up...I'm back to the same situation. I know my vehicle and the sentimental value that it carries so its worth it. Took my Tundra here for a simple service. Due to rust 4 pan bolts snapped off. This could have been very expensive in labor costs. Instead they took my kids and I home. Kept the truck all day and fixed it. Stayed open late for me to come get it and only charged me an hour and half labor. Then called two weeks later to check up and thank me for my business. Recently I had service done on my truck at this business. Now customer service is important to me and regardless if you feel I need you more than you need me, if it were not for people like me , there would be no you (EDCO TRANSMISSION). I greeted Anthony upon walking in, not strong in friendly customer service. It took 3 separate visits to get it the issue corrected. 1st visit was replacing the transfer case, 3rd was correcting the noise from the transfer case after it was installed. Firestone first examined the sound and switched to the 4 wheel drive which then caused my truck to stay stuck in there, so sent me back to EDCO to find out why I have a squealing sound under my truck. I was happy to find out over the phone with Anthony, my truck is ready and it was a simple correction. I arrived to pick up my truck and did ask for an explanation to what happened to cause the squealing under the truck after the transfer case being installed. Anthony tells me ,"I don't know what you or Firestone did , but it is fixed." Excuse me, I did nothing but pick it up and the squealing was there after the installation of the transfer case.
