Let me start by saying the service was good/mediocre. My rating is just based on the food. As soon as I walked in the door and was taken back to the back dining area, I could smell old mop water, or just something that wasn't quite right. I ordered a Buffalo chicken wrap with fries and my husband got the breaded fish fry. We both agreed the food was okay. We wouldn't not eat it, but we won't be coming back. My chicken wrap was mostly lettuce, with maybe two strips of chicken shared between the two half's. Maybe. It definitely was not a lot. I also found foil that fell out of it. It was a small piece, but definitely not what I wanted to see on my plate. This place always seems busy. I'm not sure exactly why. Maybe the Italian dinner is better?

We've been here a few times in the past few months. It had been years since we'd been there before, but we really liked it back then. We have been here at some off times, like 4pm, and we were pretty much the only people there. Even when it's more crowded though, it's very quiet now. They should turn the music up, or add TV's or something. There is very quiet music playing, but it's just not enough. Tables are all spaced out though, and we've feel safe each time. The people working here are very nice, and we've had great waiters each time. The food is just not great though, and it's rather expensive. The last time we were driving home, my husband said everything was OK, but it's just not great, and I thought the exact same thing. My favorite thing is the fried green tomatoes. The sauce that comes with them is also good. They also have fries covered in hot sauce that were really good, even though I don't like hot stuff. They were just the right amount of kick. Between the two of us, we've also had the prime rib, fish fry, artichoke French and the BLT. They were all ok, but just ok. The portions are a good size. We will probably go again, and the location is convenient.

Not very impressed. My sandwich felt like it was served on old dinner roles, it was small and really nothing special. The meat wasn't bad but it wasn't great either, it was pretty much just food. There is much better quality food out there.

Recently went back to Fairfield's- excellent food and service. The fish fries are the best in Rochester. Also loved the fried shrimp.

Went there last Saturday. My fussy husband said the burger was the best he has ever had. My Cajun chicken sandwich was great too.

Not sure what Paulette is talking about, but ... the regulars are great folks, especially Al and bartender Becky with the Good Hair.

Food is generally bad - burned nachos & pizza, watery chili, very bland wings, etc. Service is also poor at best.

Terrible customer service. Not what I ordered. Burger was raw with the wrong toppings.

We were seated promptly at a nice table and brought water immediately. Our server Ryan came and told us about the specials and took our drink order. She returned several minutes later and took our orders for dinner. I was looking forward to the risotto because they always have a good risotto special, my husband had the limoncello chicken. Drinks came out and then the bread, nice and warm. The salads seemed to take a little longer than usual but the greens were fresh. Unfortunately that's where the good ended. We waited and waited for dinner. Tables around us that arrived after us were being served their meals. We waited patiently, making conversation trying not to feel annoyed. Ryan returned asking if we needed more to drink or more bread, no we still had bread. She apologized for the delay and said she would check with the kitchen. She returned 15 minutes later and said the kitchen was working on our orders. We were at 1 hour at this point, 10 minutes later our food finally arrived, it looked beautiful. The shrimp placed decoratively on top of the risotto, scallops lightly seared. The chicken in a creamy white sauce with linguini and fresh herbs on top. My first bite of the risotto was a disappointment, it was undercooked, more than a little al dente (risotto is not supposed to be any al dente). I tried different places around the dish to see if maybe there was some way to save this dinner, sadly not. We waited well over an hour for our dinners and it was undercooked. The scallops were good as were the shrimp so those were eaten. Our server did not return to ask how our dinners were. The chicken dish was good and my husband enjoyed it, brought half home as it was an ample portion. When Ryan returned she offered boxes, I declined since you cannot fix undercooked risotto. I explained what was wrong and she said she would let the owner know because he was helping in the kitchen. She returned with the wrapped up chicken and offered a free cannoli to compensate for the problem. We accepted, my husband ate it because I don't care for cannolis. We paid our check and left. I was surprised that if the owner was working in the kitchen and alerted to the problem that he didn't come out. I found that a bit strange, if it was my restaurant and someone said the special that was priced at $42 was not cooked properly I would come out to apologize for the problem. He did not, we paid the check and left. We have eaten there twice before and our meals were good. We do not eat out at nice restaurants often but because it was my 60th birthday we decided the occasion was worth the splurge. Sadly I don't think we will return based on the long dinner preparation time and the quality/price of the risotto. We don't mind paying extra for good food but this was disappointing.
