This is my 2nd or 3rd time here. I thought I'd already reviewed them but I don't see it. Sooooo... first of all they quoted me new tires... it wasn't the highest priced tires they have but I was told they would work. The best part...I couldn't make it in to get a quote and Jack gave me one via text. I really like Derion, Avery and Jerome. These guys are funny and knowledgeable. They man the desk at times but at least two of them seemed very capable to work out in the shop. I worked while they put new tires on my vehicle and fixed the alignment. The top of the coffee table rises so it was easy to sit and get some work done. The couch was comfy, there is a TV and music playing. There is also a coffee maker and popcorn popper. I didn't partake in either...too early. The only issue which is not their fault... is the parking. It's really hard to find a spot. Luckily they are fast and efficient. So as I sit here a family came in to have something fixed on their truck. They were just passing through. These guys jumped to action. They don't want them waiting long. I can only imagine the fear of stopping somewhere you don't know with a car issue. They don't know it but they are lucky they stopped here. I was just told that I need an oil change. The light wasn't on but I actually knew it would need an oil change soon so I can appreciate the fact that they asked if they could do it. I'll be back! read more

Great experience at Fairway Classics with my '99 Pontiac Trans Am! They replaced a power window motor and regulator, and a side mirror glass. Parts aren't readily available for my car these days, and I'm so glad I found Fairway. They will be my go-to place from now on. I already have another smaller job for them. Amazing customer service especially for just a car repair shop! The communication and repairs were done in such a timely manner that I didn't even need a rental. I'm not sure why some of the bad reviews but lemme tell you I had my engine filter, cabin air filter and additional diag done to my cooling unit because I thought my car might be leaking. I went here with my young adult daughter for a battery replacement. It was close to her work and had good reviews. She is going on a road trip to celebrate her 21st bday. I already had the battery checked and knew it was bad. On top of using the most expensive battery available, they charged her $100 to do a diagnostic on the battery AND then replaced her wiper blades for $72; neither of these things were necessary or did we ask for. I feel they intentionally took advantage of her. I could have purchased an AGM battery for $239.99 and wipers for under $50. Unfortunately, she trusted them when they called her, while at work, and asked her to approve the work so they could get started. It was an unfortunate lesson for her, but should have never happened if they have any integrity. I also found other similar reviews of this happening to other young women. June 15th a 9 to 5 office visit. A well baby check-up with plates due next month, tires rotated, oil change, etc., a good once over. Once she's up on the rack & they are under her skirt why not fix it all. Fairway Automotive my primary care physician for my car. Waiting for that dreaded call, you know the one where they explain what they found. When they read you the results! Information on what was frayed or leaking. Belts, shocks & hoses, you name it & they go out like knees & hips. Everything was fixed. I trust what they say & do. EACH REPAIR WAS EXPLAINED IN FULL! Excellent customer care, a ride home after leaving the car & a pick up to get the old girl back. I started using them in 2019 & I will continue to use Fairway Automotive as long as I have a car. I bought a used car and before I could get the money together to get it registered, the check engine light came on. I brought my car in and they evaluated it for free. Because I had a diesel Jetta and the problem was associated with the unique diesel fuel system they referred me to the VW dealership. They assured me that if I had any trouble they would help me. When the dealership said it was going to cost 4k I called Fairway and they did a little homework and informed me that the price was right. I also called a different mechanic who said the same. After three opinions I went ahead and got the work done. Fairway was referred to me by my Mom. It meant a lot to me that the staff was so friendly and eager to help me even though they weren't making anything off me. They made me feel like everything was going to be ok. This place was a huge disappointment to say the least. If I could, I would give them a negative 5 stars. They did a good job of selling me on a classic car review where everything was put on a video as a total overview of what was wrong and detailed quotes. There was a half ass shaky video of the outside of my car and the owner said that was taken just to protect them for liability. Not even sure where to start with this place. I worked at Firestone in my younger years and again about 10 years ago for a bit. A complete auto inspection for about 1/4 of the cost would have been for sure more accurate and more through and that is saying a lot as Firestone is hit and miss at times by location. I told the site very specific instructions on what I wanted quoted and even directed to them to known issues. Received about half of the quotes I requested but did not bother following up because the pricing was insane on what was quoted. I did have to wait almost a month for an appointment so even more frustrating but I assumed it was because they knew what they were doing and were in demand... not based on my experience I also specifically told them that there was rust in the antifreeze and that I wanted to get a price on flushing it all out. I made them aware the 71 Lincoln sat for years and all I did was put in new spark plugs, drained what I could of the gas and changed the oil. The initial report "thorough classic auto review" came back that the anti-freeze was fine. Also came back that the that the ignition system was fine even though it's all original from 50 years ago and I put a different color, used temporary ignition wire on it from my 66 Rivera. I expected a fair price to upgrade to electronic ignition, which I requested a quote on, so figured it would all be swapped out by them . After I told them it was bad, they added it to the inspection. Marked as could not find the horn or NA, when it's a rim blow horn ... apparently not familiar with that concept as it works. Just a really piss poor inspection initially , after I basically told them what was wrong, they looked closer and except for scoping the gas tank for me told me what I already knew and missed many things I knew but were not caught . Funny thing is they didn't even bother to check to show actual numbers to show it was numbers matching as I would expect they would. Overall, I gained basically no new information from their "inspection". A used piece of toilet paper has about the same worth as their "detailed" inspection. Sad thing is I also gave them all of the original shop manuals to help them look at things. When I got there, I mentioned the windows were a problem and I tried to explain what I already knew ... but was talked over . I paid to have them looked at and quoted , knowing it was likely worn gears and later even gave them the part numbers for those and spacers. That was a waste of time to get them looked at I suppose, as I did glass as a profession so I knew some of what was wrong already, but figured they could confirm, get parts and take care of it. The cost for two motors was ridiculous. Even though they said the gears were bad and the motors worked (although I suspect only spacers possibly, not even gears) they would not rebuild them as by many accounts the originals are better than the replacements. I accepted that but when I got a quote, I was wondering who the crack supplier was that supplies them . I should have tried to argue for some money off, but I authorized the bag of goods I was sold on the inspection so my fault for not researching them more. Lesson learned . I recommend steering clear of Fairway (ironic name) Automotive. After all of my frustration, my goal was to get my car out of there and back in my hands with minimal damage. The seat belt retractor cover is now all chewed up but I was so disgusted I got it home, noticed an oil leak that wasn't reported and haven't had time to inspect for more damage. I can only say the positive reviews, although only six total reviews at the time of this writing,( should have been a clue perhaps), must be for a few reasons: 1. They are friends or family. 2. Do not know much about cars anyway and are trusting them more than they should. 3. Had a simple repair a monkey could make likely on a newer car I would suspect. 4. My car's check engine light came on so I took it up to the shop on Wednesday to see what was wrong. They said they would fit my car in and that they would give me an update on Friday. They never called me, so I called them Friday. Hadn't touched the car. So then I called Monday. They hadn't touched the car. Tuesday they finally did the tests but never called me to update me. They charged me $500 for the tests and said that just fixing one of the issues would cost me over $1000. I decided to take it to another shop and was then informed that I was overcharged for the tests and that my fix would only cost $800 in all ( not just $1000 for one price to be fixed). I called Fairway to ask why they tried to take advantage of me ( a 22 year old girl) like that and they said because they offer " premium" service. What premium service? Not calling me to let me know you found the issues. Not touching my car for a week or informing me that you won't get to it for a week? Terrible service and over charge for everything. I've had my car in for bearing work and axle replacement back in October headed back in two months later because the parts failed and now I have it again for the bearing failing again and they're telling me that it's going to cost me $650 because they missed a front carrier bearing that is most likely causing my bearing that they replace to go bad twice. I have now missed five days worth of work and I'm at $3000 to get the problem fixed. Absolutely ridiculous!!!! read more

This is by far one of the best customer service experiences I've ever had. My son decided to paint the interior of my car with nail polish (pink polish on black leather). Jason and his team went above and behind to try and find a solution (no easy task). They asked to keep my car another day to keep working on it so the following day, I got a call that they found a way to get the polish out. Due to the extent of getting it out, I was offered the option of doing it myself to save money (a lot of money). That right there was a telling sign of their honesty and good intent to help me out. When I came to pick up my car, I was instructed on how to get the paint out and even given the products needed. On top of that, Fairway did not charge me even though they spent hours working on a solution as well as detailing the inside of my car. Truly genuine people and extremely hard workers!
