I just had the most wonderful experience with Fairytale Brownies! I had some sent to my husband's office for a Valentine's Day surpriese, and unfortunately UPS somehow left the brownies at the wrong place. I contacted UPS immediately, after they didn't show up at my husband's office, and UPS couldn't have cared less. "Contact the seller" is all they "support" they could offer. I felt terrible having to contact Fairytale brownies to correct an obvious UPS mistake. However, when I did, their customer service people were wonderful and apologized that the brownies wouldn't arrive in time for Valentine's Day but offered to send a new package to my home for my husband overnight. I happily agreed. THEN, the original package of brownies mysteriously appeared inside my husband's office building (I'm guessing a neighbor got the delivery and brought it over when my husband wasn't there). I immediately contacted Fairytale brownies to tell them of the delivery and they kindly said to keep and enjoy the second box anyway on them! I will definitely use them again in the future and recommend them to all my friends. First of all the treats are super yummy! We send them as thank you gifts to all of our clients and partners that we work with in our business. They are awesome thank you gifts. BUT the staff is amazing. After ordering so many orders online I was contacted by Mari and she said I could just email her to place orders and she would do it for me. She is a life saver. She even responds to me on the weekends. They really have made me feel like I'm their only client and that I matter. I received a box of brownies while recovering from a liver transplant and have been a loyal fan since. I gave them as gifts to all my nurses and will continue to buy as gifts for special occasions. THE BEST BROWNIES EVER. You would expect pre-made-who-knows-how-long-ago-and-sealed-in-plastic brownies would be dry and crumbly. I didn't have high expectations, especially since I ate my first one a good two weeks after receiving it. These brownies are the best I've ever had! They are so moist and soft and dense. My favorite is the toffee (giant pieces of soft toffee) but the just plain chocolate is mighty fine too. The caramel and white chocolate are great too. It's impossible to go wrong. read more

I was given a box of Fairytale Brownies as a Christmas gift last year. I had heard of them before so I was excited to try them out. The packaging was very nice and the entire presentation of the brownies was 1st class. The brownies themselves were incredible. Made will all natural items, they melt in your mouth. My favorite is the carmel swirl. As a plus, you can freeze the individual packets and defrost them for a great treat even months later. Sure, they hit the spot if you're craving chocolate and nothing else is around (have to microwave them first, though, otherwise they're totally bland), but they're kinda... processed-tasting, dense and oily. I've never bought them for myself, I've always gotten them as gifts (box of mini-brownies, etc). Grocery store boxed-mix brownies fresh out of the oven taste more gourmet than these babies. We returned from a 2 1/2 week vacation to find an unexpected USPS box at the door. When I opened it I found FTB and a card that stated 'best when.....'. I did not know who the brownies were from and of course they had been inside the door longer than the week suggested. I tried one and wondered if I would get sick. :} A quick call to FTB customer service and everything was resolved. (not their fault the giver sent the box not identifying it as perishable or that it sat so long). My original review was 8 years ago and I still use Fairytale frequently for birthdays, Christmas, and other gifts plus I will splurge on myself a couple of times per year. Each time I've ordered, I've had excellent results and the gift recipients tell me they're the best brownies they've ever had. I've been sending them to a couple of recipients for all 8 years, each year. My last order for myself was for the blondie bars and a half dozen cream cheese brownies. I sure can't make them where they taste this good or even come close. Sure, they're a bit expensive but worth it. I'm sorry to say my first experience will be my last. I've known about FTB for a very long time and have heard great things. I've never actually purchased anything from their site before until yesterday. To make a long story short, I'm dumbfounded by how badly this one particular customer service rep messed up the shipping of my order. I wanted it to be shipped on my daughters birthday, but after a series of mistakes and just not thinking things through, the rep is responsible for my daughter not getting her package on time. This completely ruined the surprise I had in mind. UPDATE: After reading through these other reviews, I found one from over two years ago, who had the SAME EXACT problem with the website as I did. You select the date you want the package shipped, but it goes on record as indicating you want it shipped "ASAP" - ignoring the date you selected. A two year old bug! lol! After a series of "fixes" by the customer rep, it's not being delivered on the correct day AND now I have to go to UPS center and pick it up myself - and it will be a day late. read more

Wow! Aside from having some of the best brownies I have ever tasted, their customer service ranks among the best. We decided to give brownies to our top 200 customers this year. I selected Fairytale Brownies because they are a local company and they had a great product. I called on this company in my former logistics career and was always impressed and intrigued by them, although we never did business. We did our best to provide a nice clean customer list but as hard we tried, there were inevitably those addresses that were incorrect or had moved. They were on top of the process by providing daily updates for addresses where there was trouble as well as delivery notifications, attempts, etc. I also had several addresses that I need to add after submitting my original lists. I always received prompt responses to requests and I always dealt with the same person (Mari is AWESOME)! In summary, a great product as well as excellent execution on the distribution! Now before I write this review I need to take one of my Fairytale Brownies out of the fridge so it will be ready to eat by the time i'm done. So I went to the Fairytale store in Phoenix yesterday to try out their famous brownies. I wanted to send my mom something other than flowers for Mothers Day this year. I bought a box of 12 sprites (the half brownie, which is really the perfect size) and picked my own flavors versus getting the one of each deal. Of the brownies i've tried, caramel is my absolute favorite and peanut butter is a close second. The cream cheese is also a good one. The brownies are soft and moist and taste amazing if you take them out of the fridge a few minutes before eating them. Another reason i'm loving Fairytale Brownies is the packaging and design. The boxes they put your brownies in are sturdy and completely reusable for all sorts of things. I'm big on presentation, especially when it comes to gifts. Which is why I plan on ordering something extra special for my mom this year. I'm thinking a 24 count of Sprites so she has plenty to share. I know she'll love them for the same reasons i do, the brownies are delicious and the packaging is high quality and reusable. Unfortunately Fairytale lost a star for customer service. When I walked into the store there wasn't anyone to be found. Then when someone did appear she seamed annoyed that we came in. I get the feeling they prefer people to order online. I told her the reason we came in was to try the brownies before ordering some for Mothers Day, and also of course, to buy some for ourselves and she didn't even offer us a sample, and there was a tray of them right on the counter. read more

These are the best, "mass produced" brownies I've ever tasted! I am very impressed with how they keep the texture and moistness consistent across all of their different types and flavors of brownies. Their store is really just a counter with a bunch of different brownies. This isn't A place to go for dessert. You show up, you try whatever samples they might have out and then you select which brownies they want. I tried the toffee and cold it was no good but if you throw it in the microwave its not that bad. This isnt the end all of brownies but not bad for packaged and shipped brownies. I had my first Fairytale Brownies at the Taste of the NFL when Super Bowl was in Phoenix. There were offered at a reception one evening and also given to those of us who volunteer with the Taste of the NFL. Amazing!!! I stuff my purse with them, ate them all week and when I got home, ordered my first box that I didn't have to share with anyone. Luckily, I work with the Taste of the NFL each year and we had them again at the Super Bowl in Tampa, FL. I had kidney stones that week....felt awful...couldn't walk....no appetite at all....except for Fairytale Brownies! I now send them to anyone and everyone I know. The dozen sprites in the purple box are my new go-to gift for birthdays, father's day, get well, business thank-you gifts, etc. What can I say...I have yet to meet a flavor I don't love. And Brandie....who always helps me with my orders (I order via their corporate promotional program) is always the best to work with. She's helpful, upbeat and a real pleasure to work with. The product is very good. However, it is nearly impossible to place an order on line. I have been trying for an hour, including two calls to their 800 number where that person also could not help me. First of all, when it gets to paying, the only option is PayPal. I thought ok why not? AND pushed button for PayPal. Order did not go through. Operator said because FB does not accept PayPal. ok. so I went in and canceled order and then tried again. the ONLY option to pay that came up on the website was - again - PayPal. Again of course it did not go through. I then called the 800 line again, asked agent to put order through herself, and what do you know? She could not pull up my order or my name because of something wrong with website. I was left with NO option to get my brother his brownies for his birthday next week. FB has very poor customer service on line and on phone. read more

Good brownies, but horrendous customer service. I placed 6 different orders online for Christmas presents. They messed up 2 of them and then proceeded to insinuate I was a liar (customer service rep basically told me that over the phone). (Mistake 1) Ordered Winter sprite wonderland (package of sprites) - cost on website $34.95. They sent a winter wonderland package - cost on website $29.95. They didn't send me any sort of notification that they ran out of my item or that they would be sending an alternate item. Usually when you do this, you send an item of GREATER, not LESSER value. I emailed on a Wednesday about the mixup, no response until I sent a followup email on Saturday. Customer Service rep said that they did respond but couldn't prove it - she just got argumentative on the phone. Basically, she said that they have every right to send a replacement item even if it is of lower value and that this is posted on their website. I couldn't find the notice on their website - but who sends a lower value item and then doesn't credit the difference? They said I have to buy something else and they will credit the $4 difference to me on my next order. NO apologies for the error, just a stubborn attitude from Jennifer - the customer service rep. No thanks. Won't be buying from them ever again! She then couldn't assure me that the gifts I sent to others in my other orders were actually the correct gifts ... I have my doubts based on them messing up 2 of my orders, so will stay away from using them for gift orders ever again. (Mistake 2) Had to change the shipping address on a order. They did change the shipping address on that order correctly, however, they also mistakenly changed the address on another order (the order # is 2 digits off on the end). When I brought this up to them - again, no response via email until I emailed twice. They were nice enough to admit the mistake and then ship out a new package to the correct address. However, when I spoke to the customer service rep today - she basically said I lied on that order to get 2 packages of brownies shipped to me for the price of 1 and has emailed proof that I asked for the order address to be changed. Yeah, I asked for the address to be changed - ONLY on one order though and NOT both where they changed the address. Customer service rep said she had the email where I asked for it, but I don't have the email (and I have gmail where I can sort by the order number and see all emails with that # in the email body) and she basically just kept insinuating I was a liar. Basically, they erroneously changed the order shipping address on both orders instead of just 1 like I asked and now said it was my fault for the mistake. Good brownies, but not worth the hassle and definitely not worth being treated like dirt. Just wanted to make sure people knew how they treat customers!! read more

Absolutely delicious. We purchased these directly from the retail location attached to the baking facility in SE Phoenix. I can't say enough how tasty these are. They are not thick, cakey, or dry (despite what the other reviews here have said--but, again, I bought these at the retail location, so they weren't boxed and shipped across the country). Not a single crusty edge to be found. A little on the thin side, extremely moist and creamy (not gooey--keep that for your supermarket box mixes), and had more of fudgey consistency. Normally I have to cover a brownie with ice cream for it to be palatable--not so here. These sort of melt in the mouth. I was more than pleased to see that they are all made on-site with natural ingredients, so no artificial colors/flavors/preservatives. Individually wrapped with slightly-high prices, which is great for me, because it keeps me from buying a tray--which would soon result in an unsightly waistline. Please keep up the good work--you now have 2 more loyal customers!!! read more
