Do you want to know how long I've been a fan of these brownies? I used to visit them at their bakery on 68th St. and Thomas. (So now you just know I'm really old!) My husband and I knew back then we'd found something special and followed them around the valley ever since. The brownies are simple, classic and delicious. I love that you can freeze them up to six months and they still taste great. My favorite flavors are the mint and the toffee. I recently attended their annual Open House in March. Fairytale partners with the nonprofit KABOOM to build playgrounds for underserved communities. They have raised so much money for KABOOM and if you come to their Open House you can help support this. They have a raffle and silent auction. They sell $1 imperfect treats and discounted brownie edges. They give away free samples and it's a festive and fun atmosphere. At my corporate job, one of my work teams is based in Phoenix, and since many of us are remote, instead of a corporate sponsored "pizza party", they shipped a box of Fairytale Brownies. Of course, I dug in immediately and had one, but they do keep in the fridge or freezer, if they make it there. I was impressed that a box of brownies from PHX made it to Charleston so quickly! I was recently in Phoenix for christmas and writing this review now. Their brownies are simply amazing but the store experience is not so customer service friendly. You walk in and there are gift boxes on shelves but nothing in them and their brownies aren't displayed anywhere. (Their brownies need to be refrigerated to keep them fresh so I get this now). There is a fridge in the store but nothing in it. There is a sign behind the counter where they have a price for full size, half size, and bite size Individual brownies. The girl behind the counter did greet us and asked how she could help. Being our first time in the store we had some questions on variety boxes and pricing. She wasn't too helpful as she just kept asking for what size we were looking for. We weren't sure what exactly we wanted or size of brownies as we were looking for pricing and cost. (we aren't rich so was looking for the best pricing option and cost was a factor in what we wanted) The girl seemed almost annoyed that it was taking us a while to figure out what we wanted. She goes well do you want the packaging cause if you don't get the packaging it's cheaper. So we thought by packaging the nice Christmas gift boxes but apparently they dont have a plain box to put them in so again we were like what's the price difference. Is it a better deal to buy Individually or a variety box mix. We never did really get a clear answer and eventually she told us about the bulk pricing so we just did the bulk price and just chose 2 bulk flavors. I think if they offered a better deal on a variety bull pack of their brownies would be better customer service and a more positive customer experience. Also they should have the gift box prices, bulk prices and all the other pricing options they have rather than just the individual prices. I've had fairytale brownies over 14 years ago when my boss gave this to us as Xmas presents. It was the most delicious brownie I've ever had. Up to this day, I've kept the box to remind myself that this is best brownie ever. I'm traveling to Phoenix and delighted to find out that they have a store located here. Sad to say my store experience wasn't great. When I walked into the store it felt like a U-Haul store where I'd buy boxes. They have tons of empty boxes with various designed. Not a single product was on display. You have a menu with the photos of the various brownies, cookies, etc. Also the pricing is very confusing. While they had individual prices for a full size, half size and morsel, I wasn't sure if I was getting a deal if I buy a bigger box versus a smaller box; buying an assortment or the same kind. There were no displayed prices for any size box. The girl behind the counter wasn't helpful either. Maybe this was intended so people shop online. I found out that I could get 35% off if I buy it online rather than in store where I'm only getting 20% off. Also she mentioned that if I don't t get the box and buy it individually it would be cheaper. I always thought that if you buy a box it's cheaper than buying individually. First review of 2021! I've had samples of Fairytale Brownies for years but it wasn't until I visited their factory in 2019 that I truly became a fan. Eileen, the co-founder, gave us a tour and the background on her business. It was so nice to see how the goods were made and of course, sampling all the flavors. I had a 15% discount code from the Yelpies gift bag and I was ready to use it. I ordered the Birthday Sprite 24 pieces because it had the most variety of flavors and it was a good price. I do like the size of the morsels but they didn't have as many flavors included. I ordered on Friday evening and they shipped it out Monday night, received my order Tuesday evening. Love that they don't charge for shipping! My treats were still chilled when it arrived and I promptly placed them in the freezer, where they last up to 6 months and still taste delicious. Definitely recommend Fairytale Brownies as a gift to yourself, family, friends, or anyone you care about! Love to support a local business and one of the OGs (their website is Brownies.com, they are legit). I received the most beautiful box of delightful chocolate brownies as a surprise in the mail today, a gift from an employer. What a treat! I checked the packing slip and it says the parcel was shipped from Arizona yesterday- at 7 AM- and it had already arrived in Chicago by today at 9 AM!!! Possibly earlier, but that is when I saw it on my front porch. That is really fast and the brownies arrived in excellent shape. No melted ones noted. I love the variety and the fact that they are individually wrapped, which makes for easy transport in lunch boxes. Received a surprise package of brownies from a dear friend. This is a great gift idea for anyone with a sweet tooth, especially for chocolate! The gift box came with a personalized note and was full of individually wrapped bite-size brownies in the following flavors: -Caramel -Chocolate Chip -Original -Raspberry Swirl -Walnut -Cream Cheese Because they're individually wrapped, it was easy to grab just one and satisfy a chocolate craving. Diameter of each brownie square (aka Magic Morsel) was about 1.5". Some flavors were better than others, however I still liked trying each flavor in the assortment. Texture was nice and soft at room temperature, but if you UNWRAP AND MICROWAVE FOR A FEW SECONDS, THE BROWNIES BECOME DELECTABLE!! Try one with ice cream for an even more guilty treat. I was lucky enough to get a dozen of these crack brownies sent to me at work. Expectations ran VERY high once I saw the words "Fairytale Brownies" on the outside package label! The brownies are pretty much 3 layers deep in packaging, and the ones she sent me were a dozen brownies of different flavors, including: - Regular - Mint Chocolate - Caramel - Walnut - Cream cheese - Toffee Crunch - White Chocolate - Pecan - Espresso Nib - Coconut - Chocolate Chip - Raspberry Swirl I dug in, and immediately ate the caramel brownie. It was perfect, with a layer of sweet, sticky caramel in the middle and running out the sides. The second one I ate was just as good, the Mint Chocolate. It was certainly minty, with a soft fudge brownie taste everywhere else. Truly, a great gift idea! She told me how much she spent on them, which wasn't too bad but still costly for the size. However, totally worth it for a sugar addict like myself. She's very lucky I share everything with her, otherwise these chocolate squares of sinly heavenly (oxymoron!) goodness would be gone. I ate my first Fairytale brownie when it came in a swag bag after a 5K I signed up for. I was honestly going to throw it away because I've never had a good tasting packaged brownie. Thank goodness I did not throw the brownie away. This is a local company that makes the best packaged brownies I have ever eaten. They are kinda expensive for what you get but I am okay with supporting a local company and their product is delicious. I went to the store front for the first time last week and I loved it. I have the flexibility of buying individual brownies rather than an assortment from the website. They make most of the money through online sales, based on the existing structure but if you can make it to the store front, you'll be a happy person...I know I was! There is a great chocolate taste to the brownie and the sugar and fat ratio is what superb brownie is supposed to taste like, in my opinion. I am a huge fan of eating the brownies but they also make a great gift for people, especially if you don't have any ideas of what to get. read more

When I was still living in STL, the company for which I worked would give us these Fairytale Brownies on certain occasions and I fell instantly in love. I would order tins of them for Christmas and gift them to my family (and myself). This was back around 2000, pre-vegan days. Now that I'm vegan, I can no longer eat them, so I had forgotten all about them until my aunt came to visit me last month. She typically doesn't eat sweets but she reminded me of her love for brownies. Then I remembered Fairytale Brownies and that they are based out of Phoenix. I took her by their store, which is really close to the Tempe area (not too far from the AZ Mills mall), and she was like a kid in a candy store! She got a bunch for the road and I picked up some to take back to my family. They still had the popular flavors that I recall, like Toffee Crunch, Caramel, Cheesecake Brownie, Raspberry Swirl, Walnut, Pecan, etc. I also like that they offer the whole brownie square and the brownie halves, for portion control. Based on the way my aunt smashed that brownie, I'm guessing that they are still as delicious today as they were 15 years ago. They mostly do corporate and special events or mail order. They used to have a store front in Chandler Mall that closed years back and that I sorely miss. They do have product in AJ's and a huge store/factory in the industrial park. I love Fairy Tale brownies more for the story on how they got started but their product is pretty darn good too. I work at a school that is the owner's Grandmother's namesake so I always think that is a cool link. The only negative I could possibly think of is the price. They cost a bit more. But if you are looking for a cool gift item this is a great offering and buying local is usually a little bit more due to costs. "A taste of pure enchantment" - this is the tagline for Fairytale Brownies, and I totally agree with it! I'd seen Fairytale Brownies at events before but I don't think I ever sampled them... until recently that is, when a beautiful package was delivered to my home as a gift. I figured it was as good a time as any to forget about my diet and give in and sample these things that fairytales are made of! Luckily, it was the Fairtytale Sprites (smaller size brownies) so I didn't feel so guilty afterward. It was totally worth it! I have to admit, I actually sampled more than just one... my favorite flavors were the toffee crunch and caramel flavors. I have yet to try peanut butter, rasberry swirl, and white chocolate which all sound great too. Fairytale Wishes (all-natural gourmet soft caramels) were also included in the package, and they were like magic in my mouth - yum! I totally recommend sending Fairytale Brownies if you're ever in need of a gift - they really are 'a taste of pure enchantment.' While it might be easier to just order your brownies online, there's something to be said for wandering down to the factory to fulfill your cravings. Don't expect warm brownies fresh out of the oven if you visit. They're the same brownies you would receive if you ordered online, served from a refrigerated case. Not a problem. They are packaged and sealed individually to maintain freshness. Do, however, expect samples for your trouble. Yum. No big discounts for going to the source either. Prices are comparable to those posted online. The staff is helpful, however, and will let you know if promotions are available. Just ask. It's also nice to see the different brownie sizes and packaging in person. There is a window from which to view the "bakery". I've visited several times and have yet to see very much going on, but it can be fun for young kids. A little planning can increase your chances of seeing some activity. Ok! I actually used to work in the office but I swear I am not baised! (Even though I did get free brownies, and 50 percent off) These are some GOOD brownies. So good I was addicted, I always wanted a toffee brownie. I sent some to my grandparents as a gift they loved the packaging! I love these brownies because they are Kosher Dairy. If you actually go into their bakery (which is also where the office is, we just work upstairs) you MIGHT see them mixing a batch up and see just HOW much butter they use because there is a series of glass windows. :) I used to show up to work and smell brownies baking it just made my morning God forbid I took the bakery entrance! I love how fudgy these brownies are! They are a great gift to send to someone (especially if you don't know how to bake like me) ALSO the owners of the company are SOOOOOOOOOOOO nice.
