Falafel Inc made its name in DC rather quickly this year, and now it's crossed the river to claim a spot on Crystal City's bustling 23rd Street. The storefront is simple and spotless, but the real gem? A parking lot. On this strip of bars and restaurants, that's practically a luxury upgrade. I dropped in during the Friday lunch rush and was greeted with genuine warmth--a vibe that carried through as more diners streamed in. My falafel pita was generously filled, but balanced enough to avoid the dreaded messy‑meal collapse. The falafel itself was moist, crisped just right, and packed with flavor. The zaatar fries stole the show: herbal, aromatic, and addictive enough to make you rethink plain old salt. And the sauce bar? A playground of flavors, letting you customize every bite of pita or fry with a new twist. What makes Falafel Inc more than just a cheap‑eat hero is its mission. They partner with the World Food Programme to help feed Middle East refugees. Great food, great value, and a cause worth supporting--this spot proves you can eat well and do good at the same time.

falafel inc used to be my favorite place to grab a quick dinner during the week and my go to was the chicken and rice bowl. The quality and quantity were perfect and nothing needed to be changed. They recently switched over to chipotle style bowls (which are famously a good tactic to decrease the amount of food ik the bowls) and don't fill their bowls all the way anymore. They also stopped giving the small triangles of pita bread they used to give in their bowls. And in general - the quantity of chicken, rice, and even LETTUCE has decreased. I'd rather they increase the price by a couple of dollars or however much money they wanted to make off customers instead of skimping on food and shortchanging customers on the amount of food. I used to be able to have one bowl for 1.5 meals and now I'm able to finish it in one sitting. I had a good run with them for a few years but I'm not going back for this.

Such a happy friendly casual eatery! The manager at the front counter greeted us with a Big welcoming smile.. The music is upbeat and the food is so so good! I've been to Falafel, Inc in North Bethesda, MD and thought that was great. This place just opened a couple of weeks ago and are standing out already! Way to Go!! And the manager heard that we were celebrating a birthday too and gave us each a co.plimentary box of baklava. So good! Love it! And I would go back again...:)

The Experience the manager provided my family and i was A+. I came in hungry and excited to attend the yelp event, and left satiated and happy. The food - delicious, the staff - attentive and friendly, the atmosphere - welcoming and unique. If you're in the area, please give this spot a try.

Here's why: - Quality: every item was fresh, and the falafel was not dry! I usually don't opt for falafel bc of how dry it is, but this one really wasn't! It was filling but moist and delicious. Also, the veggies and sauces paired well to give it flavor and texture. Again, usually not a fan of falafel, but I was this time. - Service: Food was pretty quick and the staff were really kind considering how busy the shop was. It took about 10 minutes to get the food. - Ambiance: This is a grab and go place. They have some high tables to quickly scarf down your meal or package your to go bag, but I suggest walking around Georgetown area to eat your food elsewhere. I will absolutely visit again and bring vegetarian friends. Such a bang for your buck!

I feel bad writing this but I believe Writing Authentic and honest review may inspire the owner to level up his food . That said, the food quality did not meet expectations. The falafel was overly firm and dry. The Greek salad lacked freshness--the lettuce appeared past its prime, and the tomatoes were soft and aging. Overall, it felt like a basic tossed salad with feta rather than a well-composed dish. The hummus had a smooth texture, but the flavor suggested a blended oil rather than a clean extra virgin olive oil profile. The pita was the strongest element of the meal--fresh and well prepared. Additionally, the use of styrofoam containers detracted from the overall experience. In summary, while the service at closing was considerate, the food did not reflect what I would consider high-quality or authentic Greek cuisine. .

I looked up at the menu and to my surprise the prices of the food options were quite affordable. I opted to go with the falafel bowl and m'lady went with the falafel sandwich, which were both under $10 each! We also split a healthy sized bag of zaatar fries and I could not resist getting their baklava. The food service was very quick and the employees were very friendly. After obtaining our food we went to their outdoor eating area where we stood and prepared ourselves to feast. Both the falafel sandwich and bowl were filled to the brim with falafel, cabbage, pickles, tomatoes, cucumber, and a substantial serving of tahini. We also had the privilege of being able to help ourselves to extra sauces, which included garlic sauce (toum), red sauce, white sauce, habibi sauce, and more tahini. After taking a few bites of the food, we knew we had made a great decision coming to this location. Dipping the zaatar fries into the garlic sauce became second nature, as the combination was truly delicious. The cherry on the top was their baklava that came in a small, sliding cardboard box. The baklava was not overly sweet and perfectly complemented the savory falafel dishes. I highly recommend coming here for an affordable and delicious meal!

Appreciate you can try different sauces to dip your fries or add to your sandwich or bowls. Only reason they didn't get a 5 star on this last visit was how long it took to get our order. It was a Saturday night, so we did mobile ordering and pickup. It said it would be ready within 3-15 minutes. I arrived 12 min after our order was placed. They were quite busy - and seemed the two employees working were a bit overwhelmed. There were a few people waiting for food, a line to order, they were out of containers for sauces, and some of the sauces were empty. I ended up waiting for an extra 25 minutes until I asked to check on an order - it was apparent from their reaction, our order got lost in the shuffle. Once they realized, they made it right away, which was appreciated. However, they grabbed a bag of fries that had been sitting on the counter since I walked in - so they were cold. Good thing - they do great in the air fryer! I've never experienced these issues before and it won't stop me from returning, definitely felt like a bit of an off night for them. Solid food, great cause, and one of the best affordable options for a quick bite at the Wharf! Recommend them!
