This cafe is conveniently located near a lot of workout studios, so it's a great option if you're looking for a healthy, post workout food choice. It has just a few tables for dine in, and the option for online ordering as well. It's brightly lit and appears clean; however, the tables had crumbs on them when I went to sit down, and I'm pretty sure I was the first patron to dine in that morning, so I'm not confident they wipe down the tables regularly. I ended up ordering a smoothie and a Sunrise Burrito. The items were made to order and the ingredients in each tasted fresh. Be CAREFUL what you order from here. I ordered a berry haze smoothie and found several pieces of hard plastic in my berry haze smoothie AFTER I had already drank from it. My toddler almost drank some but thankfully I found the plastic before he did or else he would have been injured. I called sweet leaf immediately and the lady on the phone could barely understand me and ofcourse they had no manager on site. Several days later after basically chasing them down, I was able to speak to a manager who couldn't tell me how plastic could've got into my smoothie and simply offered me a replacement meal. I also spoke to their district manager who was unapologetic, SMUG and RUDE about the whole incident. He then accused me of being "mean" to their staff over the phone after finding and ingesting plastic in my smoothie. What mother would not be upset? I almost fed my 13 month old toddler this smoothie. Please beware of this place. I note this isn't the first time I had an issue with the berry haze smoothie. A previous time I ordered it there was a strange bitterness in there, but I didn't bother reporting it. However finding plastic in my smoothie was something I couldn't ignore. Alright...I've walked by Sweet Leaf for 2 years and never thought to go in. My friend told me she heard that it was good, so we decided to try it for dinner and I am impressed! Great prices and great food. We both got the Chimichurri Grain Bowl and WOW. It was $14 for steak medallions, turmeric rice, avocado, roasted corn, tomato, cilantro, organic baby spinach, lime squeeze and chimichurri. There was a lot of steak and the avocado and little pieces of corn took this bowl to the next level. This would have been $25 anywhere else and it wouldn't have tasted as good. I can't believe I've been sleeping on this place! If I had to compare it to another place, I would say its like a mix of sweetgreen and cava, but healthier and with more options because they also have sandwiches, bowls and salads. The joint seemed clean with pleasant but efficient staff, meaning they greet, smile and send you on your way, even as I said it's my first time here. I ordered the turkey apple sandwich. Sliced turkey, apples, bacon, arugula and cheese on nice sized slices of sourdough. A decent sized sandwich and I also ordered a bag of chips on the side. SweetLeaf uses something called "Toast" to place online orders. It does not work most of the time, it just sits and spins. It wisely requires you to enter a 6 digit code it sends to your email when you order, to confirm that you are ordering, since anyone could be picking up your food if they somehow got access of your account online. But when you enter the 6 digit number it just spins. If you really fight with their website you can eventually place an order without having a Toast account. I often just go buy lunch somewhere else. Went to sweetgreen for a quick lunch the other day. I got their seasonal greek root vegetable salad. I got a super loaded salad for around $10 that even included flaffel. Was a little disapointed with how soggy the zuchinni and squash were as well as how i found a couple of bad lettuce pieces in my bowl. For a salad place- freshness of ingredients should be a top priority. Sweet leaf is basically your knock off Sweetgreen at its core. Crunchy, zesty, fresh and flavorful, large portion sizes, exceptional blending of tastes and health choices including salmon (at no extra cost) sealed the deal. They are generous with avocado, salmon, sun-dried tomatoes, extra pickles. All this makes for a fantastic, large salad (easy to share between two, I would say). I am officially out of a cheating flirtation and into a solid relationship with Sweet Leaf. The delightful, rustic, country-farmhouse themed interior decoration sets this place apart as well. Notice their exquisite natural wood counter top and tables. I like the sense of calm and the attention to interior decoration detail. This creates an ambience where people are encouraged to linger and visit. They charge your $2 extra for avocado, the lady at the cash register(the only worker there with any sense) asks the sandwich makers if they remembered the avocado, they say yes, then of course I get up to my office and NO AVOCADO! I've been to this Sweet Leaf many times, mainly for the salads, and have always come away full and happy. They offer a number of great options with high-quality, flavorful ingredients. One key difference between this place and Chop't: Sweet Leaf is notably more generous with their protein portions. I usually get chicken-based salads, and here the standard portion is plenty filling. At Chop't it's more meager, and as a result I need to order extra chicken, resulting in a $15-16 lunch, vs. $10-11 here. Sweet Leaf for the win! The breakfast sandwiches I've tried likewise feature tasty, high-quality ingredients. They're on the lighter side, good if you're not looking for a gut-busting start to your day.
