I was looking for a traditional styled beachside restaurant and I found it. My waiter, Bob, was very entertaining and full of personality which added to the dining experience. He recommended some excellent dishes - as an appetizer, grape leaves (homemade), for an entree, the octopus skewers (my favorite seafood), and as a dessert, the baklava (another favorite of mine). Overall, I found the owner charming and he obviously had pride in the finished product and Bob was delightful as well. I would recommend this beachside restaurant if you are ever in the Pompano area. Do not get the baba ghanoush!!!! It's so expensive to the tiniest portion to ever exist. It was $8 for literally 2 tablespoons worth. We were mind blown. The bathroom is kinda sketchy, and so is the inside. The falafel pita was tasty and they chicken gyro was fine. They also only do bottle water and they make you pay for it, and they don't give you a receipt and they don't show you the digital screen so you don't know what you're paying for it how much you paid unless you check your bank statement. read more

Presentation/appearance- Looked as if they've put the remaining left overs food from in my plate. Lamb were in pieces and some were like peeled potato skin. Overcooked and dry like shoe sole, The tzatziki did not taste like it. Hummus was oily . The so-called Smoothie is only a slush. You have a choice to drink it in a cup $6.99 or have it served in a coconut shell $4.99. I did not choose the coconut shell as i saw many coconut shells with straw on the table, i understood that it would be poured into one of those old coconut shell that has been used before. There is no water so you need to buy a bottle $1.99 if you want to drink water. Pita is very thin and tasteless. Service: waitress was nice but did not provide infos on extra cost for menu. She added meat without informing that it was additional $$$ Ambiance: outdoor seating. Many people passing by very close to my table. Ehab's amazing energy actually took our attention away from the pizzeria next door as we were arranging for seating there, and we don't regret one second!! I had the lamb gyro plate, my hubby and daughter in law had the Tangine (one had seafood and one had lamb), and my son had a smash burger (the kill joy- lol!) we all had baklava with ice cream to finish. New to Pompano Beach, we came in for the advertised breakfast special, in support of local businesses. Should have known when we walked in ....the place was filthy! Air returns had not been cleaned in years, the menus were untouchable! The food was even worse...not edible, tasteless and NOT fresh! To top it off we were charged more than the advertised price...water was extra as was the $4.50 cups of coffee from an old glass carafe that had not been washed in years. A nice selection of beverages although they were out of Stella Artois at the time. Ordered a gyro platter which came with rice and grilled vegetables. The tzatziki was very good, and lamb was tender. We were in Pompano and decided to grab some lunch by the beach. We parked in the lot behind and walked along the strip of restaurants. We hadn't been here before so we decided to try it. It's a small place with several tables inside and more on the outside sidewalk. As the doors were open, it was nice that they had blowing fans inside to stay cool. My husband ordered a tuna salad pita wrap. He said it wasn't middle eastern, but that the tuna itself was pretty good. There was lettuce inside the thin wrap. Some well done french fries came as a side. The fries were good, too. I got their hummus topped with meat. I'd asked for lamb assuming it would be pieces of meat, but it was well cooked gyro slices. I liked the creamy hummus, but some of the meat was way over cooked. Their pita is the very paper thin kind which is not my favorite. The server (who also was the tout standing outside to entice people to try the place) was funny -- dancing a bit like a belly dancer to entertain us. He is Egyptian. The chef/owner (?) is Jordanian-American. The menu has sandwiches to entrees. Depending on what you order, you can find a reasonably priced meal. I'm glad we came to try this place. Cute and very hospitable spot just steps away from the beach. The hosts are very attentive and the menu is pretty extensive with a lot of interesting Mediterranean options and some nice twists on traditional American plates. They serve all day breakfast and offer crepes for dessert. There's dedicated parking behind the restaurant so you don't have to fight beach goers for a spot - when you sit to eat, they'll validate your parking for 90 minutes which is more than enough time to enjoy your meal. I didn't even realize this place was back here but now that I know, I'll be coming back when I want a nice little brunch. read more

This place has the best omelet I've ever had. The food was so fresh and flavorful, and the staff were really nice and welcoming. It's in such a great spot, just a block from the beach, so you can enjoy a meal and then take a walk by the ocean. The air conditioning inside makes it super comfortable too, especially on a hot day. Received: Fried eggs with gyro meat wrapped inside the eggs (like an omelette), potato wedge bites, non-toasted pita and 1 side of corned beef hash. Pro's: Quickly prepared (probably because they do not follow any directions as to what the person actually ordered) and quick delivery (thanks GH). Con's: Everything else: eggs not prepared properly, gyro meat mixed in with eggs instead of on the side as specifically asked, pita not toasted at all, "home fries" are just oily potato wedges, and only 1 side of corned beef hash when I ordered and paid for 2. I might've been willing to roll with all the crap above if the food was actually good, but it wasn't...saying it was mediocre is being generous, at best. First of all, Christine was my server and she was a very kind and attentive person. The food is dynamite and the cafe is located steps from the beach. This was my first and last time dining here. We ordered a chicken pita with French fries and a falafel pita with coleslaw. The waitress brought out the food and said that they were out of chicken so the owner decided to give us beef instead. They didn't even ask if we wanted that, just brought it. She also said they were out of coleslaw so just gave me fries instead. I didn't want fries but tasted them anyway and they weren't even fully cooked. They were hard. I didn't make a big deal out if either bc I didn't have the energy at that time. Then I told the waitress that I checked in on the Yelp app and it said I will receive a free baklava for doing so. She said "of course" went inside and the owner sent her back out to say that I need to write a review in order to get the baklava (even though the app didn't require that). I then said I'm not writing a review to get the baklava and that's the least he could do for bringing us a sandwich we didn't even order. She agreed and brought us out a tiny mushy piece of baklava that looked unappealing. I didn't eat it. They also never asked if I wanted a refill on my small plastic cup of iced tea. Also there was hardly any falafel in the pita. So because he insisted on a review, here is my bad review of the place. Mora Grille is two doors down from this place and way better. Lousy place with terrible food. Lamb's giro was very dry and overcooked, tasted really bad. Babaganush had a big chunks of eggplants, not chopped enough, also no tahini was added. The chef is very sloppy young guy, who knows nothing about cooking. I came inside to complain, but he doesn't seem to care at all, and even didn't apologize.
