The home fries were really bland. The syrup was ick. The service was pretty good, we've definitely had better. She was slow and took an order of a party of six while we waited for our check. Someone else came over and helped. On the other hand, I loved my omelet. It was PERFECT I'd go back for the omelet and decorations but skip the home fries and pancakes

My husband and I wanted breakfast and did not want to cook. Really craving for grits well we located this gem and we are happy we did. Glad it's not far from us either. The ambiance was unique, green as fresh nature and a nice small family spot. We ordered biscuits with gravy, grits, bacon, corn beef hash & 2 eggs with home fries. All of this was delicious I know the pics aren't the best. But the food is good.

The food, service, and decor were fabulous. Wonderful to see the wait staff recognizing regular customers.

You might miss this quaint place tucked in the middle of commercial agricultural exchange but it would be your loss. Traditional but delicious diner fare served for breakfast and lunch. Efie was a warm and helpful server guiding our choices. We will be back. Delicious.

Dimitris has been on my list for years and I finally visited for breakfast with a friend. It is located in the Myrick Farmers Market just north of Atlantic on Andrew's Ave. Dimitris has been family owned since 2003. From the outside it looks like an old cabin. When I arrived I was told I could sit anywhere. As I waited for my friend I could tell a lot of the patrons were regulars as the hostess was calling them by name. I ordered the breakfast sandwich on Texas toast. I expect Texas toast to have butter and or garlic, this had neither, the bread was a little thicker than normal bread. The sandwich was good but not memorable. My friend had the chocolate chip pancakes and she enjoyed them and liked the way the chips were melting. Our coffees were refilled. Our 2 meals with coffee came to $28.00. Their menu includes breakfast staples as well as sandwiches and daily specials. Service was pleasant. Atmosphere was rustic. We sat for over an hour catching up and we did not feel rushed at all. Overall I am very glad I went to Dimitris but nothing wowed me such that I would return.

Old School, more of a dinner than a farmers market. Pretty cool stuff to check out!

On a rainy Thursday late morning, I stopped by Demitris Farmers Market expecting to find fruits and vegetables for sale! After the owner's daughter explained to me the history of the area and told me about the family's involvement with the restaurant, I decided to stay. I'm very happy I did! Since it was close to lunch and I hadn't eaten breakfast, I decided to get the Belgian waffle with berries. The waffle was perfectly done, lately crisp on the outside and soft and chewy on the inside. I didn't even need to add the butter because they tasted that good! I drink my coffee black and enjoyed the aroma and flavor. Overall, the restaurant reminded me of a country diner up in the Catskills upstate New York. People at the other tables were friendly and started conversations. I can't count how many times my server or someone else that worked there stopped by to check on my meal and refill my coffee and water. As I was leaving, the owner's daughter greeted me at the cashier's desk and had a nice conversation with me before I left inviting me back. I look forward to it!

Food was homestyle so it was good and filling. Very homey feel to this place with cut wooden benches an farmhouse styled decor. Was served quickly and was greeted with a smile. You can tell this is a community place because they knew most of the people who walked in as they were regulars. Ordered corned beef hash with eggs and grits and toast which was very good. Coffee was watered down but overall it was a good breakfast meal.

During one on the rare weekday mornings I had off from school I decided to come here for breakfast. The Farmer's Market restaurant is in a building from the the 1930's in the Edward L. Myrick State Farmers Market. The market's 1.008 foot platforms were the the largest in the world when they were built in 1939. During the growing season local farmers brought their harvest here to sell to brokers who resold it to retail outlets in the eastern part of the U.S. Today the Farmers Market is one of the few remaining reminders of Pompano Beach's agricultural past. The market continues to be an important multi-million dollar economic force in the community. The markets proximity to ports in Miami and Fort Lauderdale reduces transportation costs and carbon footprints, and increases shelf life of the produce. The Farmer's Market Restaurant has been owned by Dimitris and his wife Popi since 2003. It is located in a charming white shingled building across from the platforms. The homestyle menu includes pancakes, French toast, and eggs for breakfast and sandwiches, soups, and salads for lunch. They also serve Greek dishes like Greek salad, pita platters, and sandwiches. I love the vintage look of the restaurant and the quaint farm signs hanging on the wall. Seats are at tables or in wooden booths. I started off with a cup of their delicious coffee. For my brunch I ordered the French toast with fresh berries with home fries and bacon. The food was fantastic and the service was friendly and attentive. Portions are large and prices were fair. I included a picture of the menu so you can check it out. I had enough food leftover to take home and they even sent me out the door with coffee to go. This restaurant is a true hidden gem in Pompano.

The first thing we noticed, which was a bit unexpected, was the decor. The ambiance was really nice and inviting. This is the type of restaurant where someone could host a party. The service was really good too. We received water almost immediately after being seated, and our server came by shortly after. The manager stopped by throughout our visit to provide recommendations, and he was really nice. It made the experience feel more personal. For our appetizer, we ordered the Baba Ghannouj, which complemented the pita bread really well. It was our first time having it, and we did not know what to expect, but it was great. It was really flavorful, and we finished it wanting more. For our entrees, we had the Lamb Chops and the Seafood Tagine. The lamb chops were great. It was not a huge portion, but the meat was flavorful and cooked well. The presentation was also really nice. The Seafood Tagine looked great, and the sauce was incredibly flavorful. Everything about the dish worked well together, and we felt that all the flavors complemented one another. There was a good harmony between the ingredients. For dessert, we ordered the Kunafa, which was another first for us. We had never had it before, but the description really sold us on it. It was really good. This is the kind of dessert that is best shared since it is a little heavy. Toward the end of our visit, a belly dancer came out to perform, and it was really exciting. La Vie is a great restaurant, and we will definitely return. We felt as though we got a true Mediterranean experience during our visit.

All in all if you're looking for something different definitely go check it out!

The service, atmosphere, and quality of the food never disappoint. This review is based on two separate visits, and both were outstanding experiences. On our first visit, we stopped in on a Friday evening and were lucky enough to grab seats at the bar. We were immediately greeted by our bartender, Matthew, whose warm and friendly personality made us feel welcome right away. He took our drink and food order, offered excellent recommendations, and introduced us to their newly launched happy hour menu. My spouse and I were genuinely excited to see that they had finally added food options to happy hour. In the past, we often skipped coming during happy hour because there weren't any food offerings, so this was something we had been hoping for. For our second visit, we specifically returned to try the new happy hour menu. Thankfully, the bar wasn't too busy, and we were able to grab seats again. Although, after posting this review, I may regret letting everyone know about this hidden gem because the bar area is small and those seats are going to become even harder to get! This time, we were greeted by Stephen, who crafted some fantastic cocktails and walked us through his recommendations from the happy hour menu. We were also warmly welcomed by the manager, Peppa, whose genuine hospitality made our visit even more enjoyable. When we told her we came specifically to sample the new happy hour offerings, she shared some of her personal favorites, and every recommendation was spot on. We sampled several cocktails, including the Espresso Martini, Perfect Pear, Violeta, Guava Dream, Cucumber Twist, and Velvet Dynamite. While they were all excellent, our favorites were the Perfect Pear and the Velvet Dynamite. As for the food, the Greek Salad and Pita with Tzatziki are always must-orders for us. The Aegean Bites have also become one of our favorites. We tried both the Feta Saganaki and the Shrimp Saganaki--the feta was absolutely incredible, and the shrimp version was equally delicious for seafood lovers. The sliders were a generous portion, and my spouse thoroughly enjoyed them. My only minor criticism would be the chicken slider. The chicken had a loose, ground texture that wasn't my favorite. I think it would be even better with grilled chopped or diced chicken instead. It certainly wouldn't stop me from coming back, but it's the one item I'd probably skip next time. Needless to say, I absolutely love this restaurant, and I'm even more excited now that they offer what I think is one of the best happy hours around. A huge thank you to Matthew and Stephen for their outstanding service behind the bar, and a special shout-out to Peppa for making both of our visits so welcoming and memorable. We'll definitely be back!

It comes with spinach, rice, rosemary, lemon potatoes, a side of tzatziki sauce, and a Greek salad. I love all of the sides that it comes with. Happy hour is offered daily until 6 o'clock and includes special prices on cocktails. I decided to dine with some clients and we ordered many delicious dishes. Everyone was happy with the dish that they ordered. We ordered grilled chicken platter, Gyro platter, Kefte platter, spinach pie, hummus with pita bread and seafood Paella. The interior has plenty of seating and they also have outdoor covered seating. The service was exceptional. I'd definitely recommend this place for authentic Greek flavors and generous portions.

This was also my first time meeting one of the owners, Nonda, who warmly greeted me when I arrived. The restaurant was extremely busy, so my expectations were high, and somehow they still exceeded them. I asked for recommendations and started with the octopus. I normally never order octopus, but this completely changed my mind. It was bursting with flavor and served in a rich, herb-filled sauce that was so good I ordered pita bread just to soak up every last bite. Then came the lamb chops, which honestly were the best lamb chops I've ever had. Easily a 10/10. They were seasoned perfectly, tender, flavorful, and unforgettable. I kept thinking about them all night after dinner. The next day, I came back with a friend because I wanted to see if the food was truly that good or if they had just had an exceptional night. Once again, they delivered. We shared the octopus and my friend, who also doesn't usually like octopus, absolutely loved it. We also ordered the hummus with warm flatbread and a chicken skewer, both of which were delicious and perfectly seasoned. Of course, we both ordered the lamb chops again, and once again they did not miss. Also, I don't know what they do to make the lemon herb potatoes, but they are simply mouth watering and delicious. Feta Republic has officially become one of my favorite restaurants because the food is healthy, flavorful, fresh, and most importantly, consistent. That consistency matters. I definitely recommend this place and will absolutely be back again.
