A smaller restaurant in South OP but full of warmth and delicious food. They have a rotisserie spit with fresh slices of protein. I had a variety of items including the Arabic Chicken Shawarma and gyro and hummus. The ingredients are fresh and they have lots of different sauces for every taste bud. Along with food I got their saffron cake which was absolutely delicious. I could eat multiple of this in one sitting! Everything came out delicious and had a nice, subtle fire roasted taste to the food. The drinks are also refreshing. The vimto lemonade stood out and the mango shake was refreshing. I'll be back to try the lamb kabsa. read more

A great little neighborhood Mediterranean place. Don't come out of your way to visit, but if you're in the area, it's worth a try. The service is fast and friendly, the menu items are generally solid, and the portions are comparable or better to any other local Mediterranean restaurant in the KC metro. The prices are fine but not outstanding the way some reviews say they are. Maybe the prices were better at some point, but not anymore. A meal for one person will run you about $16+, which is typical for a joint like this in Overland Park. I would definitely recommend the Arabi-style beef and lamb shawarma (super juicy and flavorful) and the kabobs, as well as their hummus and baba ganoush. Skip the gyro--the meat in the Gyro Bowl is dry and scrappy, like the meat has been cut awhile back--and consider getting dessert elsewhere. The Saffron Cake isn't bad, but it's very reminiscent of birthday sheet cake / funfetti. read more

Falafel Express was always good. We were unsure about the new management, but concerned no longer! Dine in or take out, you will be happy. The harissa sauce is RIDICULOUS. Falafel is still fresh, the chicken better than ever. The vibe inside is still nice, fast casual with a pretty, green palate. Stick price shock is real post COVID... I remember single dollar sign restaurants being cheaper... but everything is about twice as expensive as before and when you think of what you would get at a fast food restaurant this place blows them all out of the water. The service was a highlight. Multiple people asked me if I needed anything. Very willing to assist. The meals are large enough to split between young kids, and large enough to fill you if you haven't skipped a meal. The music playing puts you in a middle east mindset. The color scheme has a colorful garden feel to it, with Terra-cotta walls with green stripes and green chairs that look like tree branches. read more

It's a shadow of the previous owners rendition. Much smaller portions the last two times. Both times They were out of their pickled turnips which sets them apart. You can't pick as many sauces as youwant, like before, and you don't get to see the toppings and pick those as well. read more

I eaten at a lot of authentic falafel and Middle Eastern restaurants in several cities. This is by far one of the best and in particular the falafel is easily the best that I've ever ever had. This place is great! Staff is super friendly and helpful with any questions. My go-to order is the beef and lamb gyro bowl. I get rice and hummus and load up on all the veggies. There are a ton of veggie and sauce options. They make all of their sauces in house! The bowl is enough food for two meals for me. Everything taste great and fresh! This was such a hike from downtown which I'm mad about because the falafel was so good! Tried this spot as a part of the Pitch Sandwich Week so it was half off which was a great deal. The sandwich is huge and super generous - you choose a base, a filling, and then unlimited toppings plus two sauces! Service was pretty fast and when the cashier saw we were dining in, she brought us some waters which was very appreciated! The service is awesome. The food is decent (I had the gyro wrap and some baba ghanouj- the latter was a bit runnier than others I've had). I would give this place 4 stars if they switch to metal utensils for dine-in. They brought out plastic ones, which seemed unnecessary for a wrap and a dip that comes with pita. I used my own container to take away the leftovers. read more

Part of me doesn't want to leave a review because I want to gate keep all to myself!!!!!! BUT ITS JUST TO GOOD! First, staff and service are kind and personal, with a side of amazing. Second, by recommendation of the staff we had the wrap. Hubby had gyro and I had chicken shawarma, we inhaled every single bite with no regrets!!! Where from CA and have had our fair share of Shawarma/Gyro....this place puts them all to shame. I'm from Texas and me and my boyfriend decided to stop here and IM SO GLAD WE DID! The food is so fresh, I customize my bowl and it was a great price! My bf got a chicken shawarma wrap and wow he loved it!! I ordered a mango shake soooo good as well!! The lady was very nice and made sure we were good! The prices are pretty reasonable too for the amount of food you get. Couple of downsides I noticed: --Really limited seating. Some individuals not only waited in line to purchase their food, but then waited quite some time for an open seat, only to give up and leave. --The area isn't necessarily the best. When I went, there was an automobile accident that just occurred, and then I was almost hit by a different driver moments after. Just be careful of your surroundings. Pro: --They do have a small, off-street, private lot you can park in I even tried their bakery section, which was open when I went. Their chocolate chip pistachio halva cookies were good, but not personally my favorite. Their baklava was delicious! Overall, I'd recommend this place! I absolutely love their lemonades, for just 5 dollars you get a big cup of to-die-for lemonade.....and a free refill to take with you! It tastes fresh and immediately refreshes you. We ordered the pita pizza, falafel and baba ganoush, and built a bowl with yellow rice and gyro. Everything was delicious and had us full and satisfied. Their gyros by itself is also as delicious. I'm also going to go ahead and say they have amazing hummus, fresh pita bread, and delicious falafels. Their pita pizza is good and appetizing just not the best. They also have big portions which is always a plus The service here is a 5/5 on its own. Our waiter was always available, had us taken care of as soon as we walked in, accommodated all of my needs when it came to my food, and answered all of our questions.

Everything is always so easy to order especially online because I usually order online instead of ordering inside. It's always fresh and delicious and as somebody who has acid reflex, this place has everything that you could offer as far as something healthier to eat from the food to the soda. Everything seems like a healthier option. The store was clean and tidy as always, and even though there were only two people working we still received our food in a timely manner.
