    Mango Lemonade And Falafel Sandwich
    Steve A.

Checked out this place in Pike Place market for some Middle Eastern food. Falafel King has falafel of course, along with gyros. It looks like a pretty small place to eat, with no room inside, but with an outside patio. Has the usual types of things on the menu. There's hummus, fries, and shawarma. At lunch it was already busy. It's a small place with no room to eat inside. There's few tables that are just outside. Most people seem to get carryout. That helps keep the place clear, but there's still lots of people here it seems. It's about $8 for the Falafel Sandwich, which is filling. This ones with cucumbers, lettuce, sauce, and tomatoes. For sure it's one of the market's best places at lunch. It's located on First Avenue at Pike. There's some choices for vegans and vegetarians.

Quick hole in the wall place for my Mediterranean fix. It's right behind Pike Place Market, and it isn't hard to miss. Ordered Falafel Sandwich and it was so good. No place to sit inside the Cafe, there are outdoor chairs if one wants to eat at the restaurant.

My wife and I asked a local for the best Shawarma in town and were directed to this place which did not disappoint. Hands down it was the best. We ordered a Chicken Shawarma plate and extra pita breads. The portion size was generous and the flavors were off the chain good. Would recommend to anyone wanting a good plate. Lots of food, Can split a plate and be full. Service was fast as well. Limited seating as it's a small place. But don't let that stop you. 10/10 Would go back for sure!

I really liked the food. All the food places in Pike's Market were packed since it was a Saturday and this food hit the spot. Some of it on the spicey side but we loved it.

Maybe the best chicken shawarma I've ever had! It's a tiny (seriously, there's barely room to move!) walk up spot at Pike Place, and the food was incredibly flavorful and well-spiced!

What I Ordered: Falafel Sandwich * falafel seasoning was very strong * only outdoor seating 5/10

Falafel spot in Pike Place! It's a tiny restaurant without much seating. The service is friendly and everything is made to order in front of you. The price is a bit steeper than other Mediterranean places because of its location, and the chicken shawarma falafel sandwich I got was good and well seasoned, but didn't blow me away.

Ended up in this area past dinner time, and this place smelled amazing so we went in and ordered food to go. We ordered a chicken shawarma plate and a lamb shish kabob plate. I didn't notice that there wasn't a big spinning gyro cone to cut meat off of, and the cook actually cooked our order on the grill. Maybe they couldn't do it with fewer tourists visiting during the pandemic? Anyway it was totally fine, just not what I expected. The portion was MASSIVE. We had 2 meals each out of these plates and they were large meals. Definitely hit the spot for some flavorful meat and overall hearty meal!

We were looking for a quick bite to eat around Pikes Place and the we passed by Falafel King. The aroma was very inviting so we decided to give this place a try. Orders were placed and the wait time was approximate ~10 minutes. I got the Combo plate with Beef Shawarma and Falafels, as I wanted to try the options. The portion sizes were a bit uneven, as in we got a lot of rice. The quality of the rice wasn't very good, as it reminded me of the type of rice you would get in a high school cafeteria. I was hoping for something of a basmati rice as it is a Mediterranean restaurant, but it was more short grain. The Beef Shawarma was tasty and the Falafel was decent. There was a good drizzle of tzatziki sauce over the beef and the pickled red onions were a complement in terms of flavor. The Falafel was packed tightly, but its flavor was a bit dull. Just FYI - Pita bread isn't included in the meal, it is extra. The price was alright ($15) with the food, but I personally would have preferred some more falafel.

Had a quick stop at this place . They have good varieties of Mediterranean Food . They also have other beverages / beer etc. few tables outside to sit and eat . Service was quick . Had felafel and it tasted good .. also ordered baklava and it was awesome .. was expensive though. Being in city , we expect it to be expensive.. parking is tough . Overall a good experience...

Great outdoor seating, friendly service, and delicious fries! I overheard another customer say "this is the best shawarma I've ever had." Definitely stop in to try it!

A tiny stall in Pike Place market a few stores down from the corner flower shop is this halal food stall that is popular with the locals. Their menu ranges from hummus, babaganoush, falafel, swarma, at varying prices - some of them being rather high for a smaller hole in the wall type place. Like for example a platter for lunch could cost you upward of $15 and fries $5 dollars. There aren't many options to get smaller sides so if you want fries with your gyro or falafel sandwich, expect to spend around $20 for a lunch. I ordered the falafel sandwich after waiting around 20 minutes to order. If you come around the lunch rush, you'll be surprised to see only one person working the line. I waited around 20 more minutes to just my falafel sandwich which was kind of disappointing. While the flavors of the sauce and falafel were good - they were kind of meager. There were only 3 small pieces of greasy falafel and the way the onion and tomatoes were cut up made the sandwich hard to eat. This place definitely isn't the best falafel restaurant I've ever been to but if you're craving falafel it can hit the spot!

    Falafel and dolmattes sides! Delish

Overpriced food that tasted below mediocre. Rice in Chicken shwarma place was terrible. Chicken was too oily and shredded then shwarma cut.

For some reason I tried it again today and was once again disappointed. Placed an online order to go: Greek fries and a side of gyro meat to throw on top, since sandwiches and bowls are $13-$16! Insane. I saw the bowls, they're not large. Not a great deal by any stretch, but that's lunch hour in Seattle I guess. The fries were soggy, barely any feta on top, and the "gyro" meat is just freakin' weird. It tastes like lamb meatballs. Not at all what I expected. On top of this, my order was not ready and I ended up waiting 15 minutes. Three people in line in front of me and three behind, but just one guy behind the counter taking and prepping orders, tickets popping out of the machine left and right until he cried uncle for some help. "Wow it got busy fast, went from no orders to backed up!" Yeah dude, it's 12:15. People get off at 12, call it in, take a piss and start walking to the restaurant, just like every lunch rush every day in a busy commercial core. I also dislike having to wait in line for a pickup order. I'm in a hurry. If you can't accommodate, I can go somewhere else. Just leave my order out! I did grab a jar of grilled preserved lemons to take home. Not sure what to use them for but they look delicious. All in all, not great, again.

I got a build-my-own saj wrap with the mushroom base saj $6, sumac chicken $7, tomato $1.5, cucumber $1.5, pickled turnip $1, and a side of hot sauce $2. The saj bread itself tasted good, but got soaked through by the juice of the chicken and became very soggy. We walked to a park 10 minutes away to eat the wraps and the wraps were bending. The ingredients are fresh but nothing particularly stood out. I didn't quite taste the mushroom on the wrap, and on top of that, I got charged $2 for the hot sauce, but never tasted it in the wrap or found it on the side. My partner got the falafel saj wrap which was overall ddcent, but he also found the saj bread quite soggy, yet the falafels were on the dry side.

This…read morewas exciting to me as I enjoy food from the Middle Eastern part of the world, and the entrees do look very enticing! We went on a Saturday around 2pm and it wasn't too busy at the takeout window. The restaurant is only takeout - there are benches right next to the takeout window, but there are only enough spots for 8 - 12 people (2-3 people per bench). The only other seating is at the nearby street seating offered by the neighboring bars, which I can see being restricted during peak hours. Parking can be very difficult if you plan on driving, there is only street side parking that is usually full, and nearby paid parking in lots. Service is fast, after we got our order, we only waited 5-8 minutes for our food. We got their recommended Soujouk (Beef) and Cheese Wrap for $16. The wrap is long, I would say about 13 - 14 inches long, and I can definitely seeing most people getting full after enjoying one of these. The flavors are nice and you can taste the spices from the sausage - I could taste cinnamon front and center with other earthy spices lingering in an aftertaste. The wrap is very decadent, the cheese is hearty and indulgent and that with the spiced sausage and textural difference with the cucumbers is pleasing. Do note with how indulgent this wrap is, you will accumulate a ton of oil in your wrapper as you enjoy it - a nap afterwards is in your future if you eat a whole wrap! I think that Yalla Seattle is a good stop to try these cuisines in a casual manner and the price is reasonable. There are some other items on the menu that kept my attention and I would totally revisit to try the other items offered by this restaurant.
