I had already spent too much there so I declined having them hard wire them. the speakers didn't need to be hard wired at all there was just a short in the driver's side door speaker. I was looking to up grade my 6x9 speakers and I went into Fallbrook Car Stereo n talked with the owner of the shop Nado, told him what I had and wanted a up grade to the DS18 6x9s. He didn't have them but was getting some in soon...so I asked him to let me know when he got them in..I say 2 days later Nado let me know he had them in. I came into the shop and bought them, Nado told me that I would love the sound and he was right.. I was driving by Fallbrook Car Stereo today and stopped in to ask for a quote on a amp for my car, Nado gave a price. It's a fair price. I asked Nado if he could look at my stereo system because the Bass wasn't hitting like I know it could...Nado said sure..He found the problem pretty fast...I had reversed the speak wires to my subs.My fault..Now it hits like it should..Asked him if I owed him anything and Nado said Nope all is good..Every time I speak with Nado seems like a good guy...Hasn't did anything wrong to me...If I need anything else I will definitely hit up Fallbrook Car Stereo.. read more

I have spent over $6,000 in the past 5 years on car stereo equipment, with Fallbrook Car Stereo. I had a full system installed in my sons truck on April 17th and spent well over $2,000 CASH. They Over tightened the connection from the amp to the battery and busted a brand-new battery, terminal. I only recently discovered it at the dealership and watched as the hood was opened and looked at by a sales guy. NO TOOL WAS PUT TO THE BATTERY BY ANYONE, BUT THE OWNER OF FALLBROOK CAR STEREO!!! We were only able to start it, because it was still partly making contact. I immediately called the owner of Fallbrook Car Stereo and let him know that he had busted the battery.. He first said," oh, I can fix it." I brought it to his store, and he was rude and aggressive saying he did not cause the damage!!I had to buy a new battery for $218 and he could care less about busting my battery!! Fallbrook Car Stereo is downtown Fallbrook, and a small town. I was warned about their bad customer service but thought they would be cool and pay me for the battery they broke, but they were just rude and did not care that I had been a repeat customer for many years calling me a liar!! I have spent thousands of dollars in CASH over the years, and they lost a customer by not doing the right thing and buying me a new battery. They do not stand by their work. Does not know how to install modern stereos into cars, maybe in the 70's, not these days; doesn't know how to adjust source line levels to avoid blowing out speakers. Told me the customer, oh yes sir, the new stereo is VERY LOUD, sure it is, you blew the speakers out Einstein. Claims the speakers are annunciating just fine, however, they sound like KAZOOs lol, you know the PAPER kind. Advised me, a sound engineer, that you just need to EQ the higher frequencies out LOL! Buddy, that is the same thing as turing the tweeters OFF. Get over yourself, your ego, and your thievery. Never have I seen such bald face liers in my life! Nothing more than a pocket thief. There is a very special place in the afterlife for these two. When the owners denies this review, just disregard him. It is for Fallbrook Car Stereo & Tinting, there were no other parts other than what this business sold to me, cheap parts that do not work properly and yes, I was a customer there. I was scammed, and assaulted!! After being ripped off I was harassed by all employees. I am a 20 year old young man, and there was so much done wrong this day. I was so excited to get my car stereo done "professionally" and my windows tinted too! We discussed on the phone the night before that it would be ONLY 350$ for my car stereo rewired, and my 2 windows tinted. Keep in mind we described which windows I wanted tinted (2 front doors). When I showed up for my 10 am appointment, the employee told me he had no idea what appointment I was talking about, then I asked for the owner, which was the guy I talked to. He said something like "oh yeah I remember you, just sign this and we'll get started on your car it'll be done in about 2 hours" with a smile on his face. 2 hours later they call me saying my back speakers need replacing. No problem! Bought the 2 speakers. So 2 more hours later they are done. I go to pick up the car, and notice they forgot the tinted windows. I'm thinking "No problem it'll just be cheaper, I can get the windows done another time I have to work soon" so basically I go in and he tells me it's 416$ just for the radio rewired and the 2 cheap speakers I bought. I said what about the windows and he said "we never talked about windows, I have no idea what your talking about." I told him how would you forget a conversation we had last night. And he proceeded to lie. After being repetitively talked over without being able to make my point. I finally said "look dude you told me 350$ last night for everything done the windows and stereo redone, now it's 416 for just the stereo? He kept making excuses, so I just payed because I didn't want any trouble, I got in my car and tested the new radio wiring, and it sounded horrible I went back in and asked for a refund and for them to take it apart, and real smug he said "a refund" proceeding to sarcastically laugh and joke when I'm upset. He kept raising his voice over mine so I finally stood up for myself and called him out on his BS, I feel like if he was an honest dude he would've fixed my problem but as I was leaving the store accepting the fact I just got scammed, he screams at the top of his lungs "GET THE FUCK OUT OF MY STORE" and proceeded to push me with both hands causing me to stumble back a few steps. Then he got a crazy look in his eyes and screamed "YOU WANNA HIT ME? HIT MEEE" I thought it was very childish for a grown adult to act like this. Very calmly I responded "I'm not gonna hit you dude, your the one acting crazy, I'm just mad this sounds like crap" and he kept getting in my face and his employees all surrounded me and my car door telling me to "get the fuck out of here" calling me names, like bum, drug addict, calling my car trash, yanking on my door handle telling me to leave as they block my car door. While they continue to harass me and step up into my face I tell them "get out of my face" "leave me alone" " quit blocking my door so I can leave" they keep being threatening and the owner stepped into my face very closely again, and stepped on my foot, so I reacted and pushed him off my foot. They finally started retreated after saying things about my parents, calling me a drug addict, all sorts of horrible things, all I said was my car stereo sounds bad. I calmed myself down and I left. My dad passed away at 7 years old most people won't ever understand my life. The way he talked about my parents just doesn't sit right with me. Only being 20 years old. I'm very proud of myself for keeping my hands to myself, and handling this and maturely as I could. I hope justice is served. There were even pencil marks on my arms, and I was very upset and distressed with such a chaotic event. I'm just glad everyone's ok, but I hope there is a consequence for what happened to me. It could've been handled a lot better. Not to mention I was scammed. Somebody please help me. The 2 speakers I bought from them already blew! I made a $1200.00 purchase of car stereo system with what I was told had XM capability and Backup camera to be installed in my son's truck for his 17th birthday. The purchase was at approximately 12:15. I was told by the owner that it would be completed within a couple of hours, he would "put two guys on it" and "call me". At approximately 3:15 I returned having used sick time to leave work early only to find that my son's truck was still apart, no stereo installed and the installer worked on the wiring to the tailgate. I asked him how much longer and he said about an hour. I walked over to Major market to do a little shopping and kill some time. Upon my return approximately 45 minutes later the gentleman still didn't have the stereo installed and said it would be another hour. I sat on the side of the building attempting to get some shade and waiting for an additional 30 minutes until I was approached by the owner's son. He was very polite and informed me that the stereo that I selected didn't have XM capability and the other alternatives were $100.00 and $149.00 additional dollars. I was upset to say the least. At no time was I disrespectful nor did I use any vulgarity. I explained to the son what I was promised and they fell way short and it was insulting. My suggestion was that they pay the difference for what I had to endure so far. He called his father and without hesitation he said that if I chose not to pay for one of the other stereos that he would have everything pulled everything and refund my money. I sensed a bate and switch and refused to be a victim and had them pull everything out. The only thing that went according to their statement was that I received a refund. I will use every resource available to ensure that this business is exposed. I am a Marine Veteran and Senior Vice Commander of the VFW District 3 that covers all of Riverside County. They did an amazing job, were done an extremely quick time, performed very clean work and everything was attached back in place like no one had previously worked on it. We took our Hummer in to have a train horn installed. We were quoted $900.00 over the phone. We gave a deposit of $450.00. My husband also asked if a front light could be replaced to which they said they would check. We received a call that they ordered the wrong horn but did some work and couldn't install the light. We picked the Hummer up as they said it would be a week or so before the part would be in for the horn. After examining the car they had cracked the current assembly for the light. They also jacked up the install for horn connecting directly to battery-staying on all the time - draining the battery. We didn't go back.. And never will. Ohhh and for checking if they could install light they tried to charge another $600 though they did nothing to except break our assembly and tell us they couldn't install replacement light. My friend recommended this place to me and I wasn't disappointed one bit. If you ever need your subs installed, this is the place to go. I brought my own amp and wiring and they helped me pick out a box and sub that would fit my trunk and liking. There are a good amount of boxes, subs, and amps that you can choose from. The prices for them and installation are fair. They are easy to work with, costumer friendly, and military friendly. Steve did a excellent job installing my sub and is knowledgeable about his job. If there was a MINUS star rating that's what these guys would get. DON'T go to this place. I took my 2018 Honda Civic sport there to have the windows tinted. they tinted the four windows but did not tint the rear window Jr said it was impossible to tent due to the spoiler. I noticed lots of bubbles and specs in the window tint. I questioned, and they advised the bubbles would go away within a week or two. Fast-forward 6 months...Bubbles never went away I went into the shop spoke with the dad the owner explained and showed him my windows. His response was we cannot control the environment elements. We window tint outside and that is dust particles that you see Specs. " There is nothing we can do about that". "We cannot control the dust". Dissatisfied and disgusted, I said I want the tint removed. this funny cat wanted to charge extra to have the crap tint job removed. I Just moved here from Las Vegas, Nv. no way would any company get away with those business tactics in Vegas. They would get eaten up alive. Moral of the story is these two guys are horrible at this line of work, and don't know what they're doing. at a minimum, they should avoid tinting outside all well-knowing the consequences of these alleged dust particles.are l in window tint, and should NOT be window tinting outside when they know this from the get go( but won't make mention of it to the customer) Lesson learned. Stay away from this place! I brought my 2 day old truck in for tint and they left duct tape adhesive all over my door panels and the felt part of the window seals. I stopped their work before they even finished the first window, after I saw how poor their workmanship was. I said I would take my business elsewhere and they ripped the duct tape off with no concern for a brand new vehicle. The owner then lost his mind and began cussing, saying he now owns my truck and he called the police to have them confiscate my truck. He then hit my tailgate with his clipboard. What an unpleasant surprise I had when I happened to see the Amazon price for the Sirius Onyx Plus they installed for $204.98. Turns out the unit costs on Amazon about $50 and they charged me $150 plus $85 labor to install it. Plus Blue Feather kept telling me how lucky I was that he got it on special order for me. Have taken 2 cars and 2 motorcycles there, owner is friendly and seems to be helpful...... just be aware of all pricing...... was quoted a price for a Apple play radio with steering wheel controls, dropped car off and had a Jensen radio installed with no steering wheel controls or apple play...... my fault for not checking when I received it but I would caution future customers to make sure they are getting quoted for what they actually get..... also had motorcycle speakers installed on one of my bikes that I was told was the best out there..... could not here the over 50 mph...... was charged 250 bucks for them and found them on amazon for about 50....... again, and should've looked around but buyer beware! They were helpful in giving a ride home and picking up when done so you didn't have to wait! And the tint jobs were great! And fair priced! In response to the owners comment..... I was never offered any type of recompense....... and the signed business card that had stereo controls included in the price was not honored...... it's too bad because I thought they had been the kind of people you don't have to worry about and question....... there are plenty of shops around that do quality work and honor their word..... just have to drive to oceanside now to get my stereo work done! I cant recommend this place enough, both Nado and Steve are amazing. I had purchased a light bar from amazon and contacted a few places for the actual install. Most places were rude and refused to install because I had not purchased the equipment from them or they were extremely overpriced. That was not the case at Fallbrook Car Stereo and Tinting. I could not be happy with the install as well as I had a few questions after leaving the shop after the install and I called in talked to Nado, he answered all my questions and said that if I needed any more help not to hesitate to call or swing by the shop. Would have given Zero stars if it let me. This shop destroyed my car in many ways. First off I had them install an alarm and they drilled 5 holes in my engine bay to mount a simple alarm horn and they did so in the worst place possible. Now I still have 5 holes right where I had moved my car battery to have a show quality engine bay. They also used very poor connectors that came undone and left me stranded for an hour before I personally sourced his bad wiring out myself. Next they were to install 2 door speakers in which they actually did with no issue (luckily I didn't have them cut my door panels for this) but the problem was they did so out in the rain and I had 2" of water in my trunk along with wet carpet ( where my battery is located, mind blowing). Next Nado was to install a subwoofer under my driver seat while doing so he then lost one of my seat bolts while poorly installing a subwoofer with self tapping screws to not only hold the brackets (screwing into the brand new sub that I just purchased from him, along with drilling through my floor of my car. He then used a micro fiber towel under the subwoofer to stop the vibration from the horrible install mounted by self tapping screws that actually were not able to screw in all the way causing the brackets to be loose and vibrate (why he didn't use the actual screws that came with the sub along with the brackets is beyond me and sound deadening material would also be ideal rather than a towel) he then tried bolting my seat back in with another bolt in which he took from a different location/spot inside my car. He also screwed 3 more holes into my center console in plain site and in the way of my knee while driving to mount a bass control knob that he should have for sure asked me where I wanted it first. He also ran the power wire back to my trunk where my battery is located outside of the carpet knowing I had removed panels for him to tuck it under. I literally can't comprehend the incompetence and lack of quality from this one time visit. I would highly not recommend doing business with this shop. read more

This is, by far, THE WORST car stereo place I have ever been to. BEWARE! They sell cheap made JUNK and call it "quality". I had to take my car back multiple times and the stereo/amp/speakers kept failing. I even took my car to my mechanic for routine maintenance, and a second opinion, (he is a licensed repair shop that I have been going to for 15+ yrs) and three of his techs said the wiring job was so bad that it was seriously in danger of causing a car fire!! They had to rewire the whole thing and it cost me over $100 just for that. Car Stereo & Installs (aka - Old Town Car Stereo) have caused me massive headaches.I have been forced to go somewhere else because these uneducated clowns don't know what they are doing, and sell low quality (faulty) parts at a top price. They replaced one bad amp for another and then tried to blame it on me! I am a reasonable person who commends good things when they happen, but this has been a terrible experience.
