I truly debated whether to write this review, but if it helps even one pet owner make an informed…read moredecision, it's worth sharing. This was my senior dog's first appointment. We arrived 10 minutes early, only to be told to wait in the car because the exam room was being cleaned. It was the middle of summer, and despite running the AC, I became increasingly concerned about keeping my senior dog comfortable and safe. We weren't brought inside until about 20 minutes after our scheduled appointment time. Unfortunately, the wait didn't end there. Once inside, we sat in the exam room for another 20 minutes while my dog became increasingly anxious, restless, and fearful. Staff came in and out asking questions, but the veterinarian didn't enter until my dog was already overwhelmed. Before the exam, I clearly explained that my dog is very protective of his face and can react quickly. I even brought my own muzzle to help keep everyone safe. By that point, however, after spending roughly 40 minutes waiting and building anxiety, he was too distressed to cooperate. When he managed to remove the muzzle, the assistant became increasingly forceful and visibly frustrated. The veterinarian then suggested using a towel over his head so they could listen to his heart and lungs. Instead of calming him, it sent him into a panic. Hearing my senior dog struggling under the towel, desperately trying to clear his nose and escape, was heartbreaking. I asked if there was anything I could do to comfort him, but I was immediately told no because of insurance reasons. In the end, they couldn't complete the exam and recommended gabapentin before attempting another visit. I left with a senior dog who was frightened, hypervigilant, and completely shaken by the experience. I understand that fearful pets can be challenging, but I also believe the long delays and handling methods greatly contributed to his distress. His fear escalated long before the exam ever began. We will not be returning.

I brought my ten m/o kitten in to be spayed on a Friday morning, and picked her up that afternoon as instructed. I was told both on the phone and while picking her up that she did great through her surgery and there were no concerns. However, as soon as I got home, I saw that my cat was already bleeding from her incision site. I immediately called concerned and was told I could email a picture for the veterinarian to look at if I felt the need. Obviously, I did so, and the vet was completely dismissive of my concern. Well, my kittens bleeding continued into the next day (Saturday) and had worsened severely. I brought her to the emergency vet, where, after testing, they diagnosed her with internal bleeding. When I confronted the vet, Melissa Sulin, she disregarded the trauma my cat had experienced, and accused the reputable emergency vet of lying about my cats condition, and refused to read the paperwork that they had given me detailing her symptoms. Melissa Sulin was unwilling to listen to my concerns and experience which occurred due to her dismissive practices and nonexistent bedside manner. After I had voiced my disappointment with the overall experience, she walked out of the patient room shaking her head at me as though I had done something to offend her. Needless to say I will never entrust Melissa Sulin or First Choice Veterinary Care with the wellbeing of my pets again.

Ummm, he would have been up to date if she had finished the appt and not freaked out. So Unprofessional and mean considering she never helped with his ears either.

I am trying them out for the first time, but their ethics of creating nutritious dog food for dogs seems to be informed by a vet and years of experience. I have been feeding my dog whole, natural foods for a year and a half now and it has really made a difference in her coat, her weight, her health, and general demeanor. She is a healthier and happier dog, and I intend on continuing that way, so provided this works out for us, we will probably continue with Napa Fresh dog food service for years to come. I went through a phase of making my own dog food and learning all about the essential nutrients and food portions, but because of how time consuming it was, for the expense of it and the time it really was just better to seek out a dedicated business that offered this service. We opted for the bestseller variety pack so we can try a variety of meal proteins and flavors and I thought that for a 50 lb dog, 21 days' worth of high quality food was reasonably priced. So we have high hopes for our recent Yelp find!! I shall update this review later on.

One of them is 14 years old and is in CHF. Before I say what I'm about to say - I completely understand that if a facility does not have oxygen tanks and other medical resources/staff to aid in the event of an emergency, that they will not take my dog in CHF for grooming - I get that part. I spoke to THREE different people about this, thoroughly explaining my dog's condition and each time I was NOT told that that was a dealbreaker. I continued to make their accounts, requested bookings, and uploaded their vaccination records and medical records (particularly for my dog with CHF). Everything was approved and verified by the staff - per what their portal was saying - and the appointments have been on the schedule for 2 days. To add on to this, they actually had to last-minute reschedule one of the dog's appointments due to a staff emergency. I was fine with that, but again, there was no implication at all that the appointment was at risk for being cancelled due to my dog's condition, hence being rescheduled. It was rescheduled and I waited another day with no sort of outreach from Wagging Tails about anything.... until THIS MORNING (both appointments were supposed to be today) I get a text message because god forbid they have the decency to make a phone call, saying that both appointments have been cancelled due to my dog's condition and the lack of equipment/medical resources on hand. THAT WAS NOT BROUGHT UP ONE TIME, EACH TIME I SPOKE WITH SOMEONE ABOUT MY CHF DOG'S APPOINTMENT. I am extremely displeased with the lack of communication and professionalism, as well as overall respect by this place. When I called this morning to ask again, WHY, this was being done in the first place, but more so WHY was this not communicated to me beforehand when I scheduled the appointments days ago... AND SPOKE WITH YOUR STAFF DIRECTLY ABOUT THIS CONCERN???? Of course, whoever picked up the phone with me this morning had no idea why I was so displeased... claiming that my dog's condition was "never brought up in discussion prior to now"... don't even get me started. I truly could keep writing about how this place is a huge waste of you and your animals' times, but now I have to start the whole process over and desperately search for grooming for my dogs all over again! Wagging Tails, I strongly suggest you do better on your end because this isn't looking great for you guys, and I can confidently claim that I will not be considering this place in any future, let alone recommending it to anyone. I also see that I am one of MANY poor reviews about your establishment... yikes!
