But she was in desperate need of a professional bath so we were on the look-out for a private groomer. Luckily, we ran into Ginia on an ice cream run once with Mia. Ginia was very nice and calm as her daughter wanted to pet Mia. We could easily tell that Ginia loves animals and knows how to treat them. We were ecstatic to hear that she was private dog groomer taking clients one at a time in her own home without cages. We immediately made an appointment and couldn't wait to bring Mia in. When we picked her up, we can tell by Mia's mood that she was very happy with her session. Ginia gave her a bandana and us a card with a lovely photo. Even two weeks after the appointment, Mia still smells and feels fresh. We definitely recommend Ginia for any pooch, especially senior canines that are prone to take naps and have dry skin.

When we arrived for our appointment I was rudely met by a groomer who told us that we should have called an hour before arriving as they were an hour behind on this day. First of all as a business owner I find it appalling that you would treat a new paying customer this way. Secondly, the place is extremely small there were several dogs being groomed and it had to be at least 85 degrees in the place. I have two beautiful labs I would NEVER bring them to this place. My cat just needed to be brushed out that of which they assured me that they offer as a service. I would not have left our cat there . They seemed nice enough but he would shake all over and try to run away when I tried to take him into the grooming section of the store. He normally is a very mild mannered dog who gives me no issues and never tries to run from me. After the last trip, I decided I couldn't do that to him anymore and in looking for another groomers, I decided to try Paws Awhile. I am so happy I did! I told the owner, Leanne about my issues with him at the other groomers and she was so gentle and talked with him and gave him extra attention. When I went to pick him up, besides being wonderfully groomed, he was very happy with his tail up and wagging and wiggling all over with happiness. I was thrilled! He is a long haired sheltie and needs to be groomed every 4-6 weeks to maintain his fur properly. I dreaded the trip to the groomers before and now he and I happily go to his appointment. Having him cleaned and groomed properly is very importantly obviously, but having him not be traumatized by the experience and be happy is more important to me. If you are also having this issue with your pet, I highly recommend trying Paws Awhile! We're so happy we found them!

Arrived next day of grooming - they would not groom our pups as they were over 10 yrs! No mention of this after receiving our proof of vaccinations which clearly states age nor is there anything I could find on their website about age restrictions. She stated that was her experience. While I appreciate her attention to detail, she could have at least contacted us PRIOR to appt - after we made an effort to drop paper work off. VERY disappointed- she was highly recommended !

My wife and I dropped our dogs off for a weekend of boarding and grooming. We left instructions for…read morethe groomer to groom our boy and do a practice grooming of our girl. We were also told that the grooming would be recorded so that we could watch the session if anything weird happens. When we picked up our dogs, it became clear that the boy's grooming was incomplete. He had little knots on his head and a large knot on his tail, as well as a new bald spot on his chest. When we spoke to the groomer about it, she said that he was difficult and wouldn't sit still so that she couldn't complete it, and she said that the bald spot was a cowlick. This didn't *seem* right, because he gets groomed 4 times a year and in the previous place they never had any issues with him at all, and we pet his chest all the time and would've noticed a bald cowlick spot before. She was also not told that the girl was supposed to get a pretend grooming session at all, so that never happened. Since the boy has never been an issue before, we wanted to see the video that we were told we could see if we requested it (we wanted to know what might've set him off), but then we were told that we couldn't because the video system has been down for weeks. The manager I spoke with didn't care and just told me that the groomers rent out the rooms so they aren't responsible for what they do. We contacted the owner but she hasn't responded and instead blocked us on the company Facebook page. Best case, this place has terrible communication amongst the staff and the groomer, poor customer service, and a broken video system. I wouldn't trust my dogs there.
