She ensured me that she would have my black and grey mixed. We confirmed a time but she wouldn't confirm price. She seemed really professional and responsible so I went in good faith. She asked me to be there at 8a. I told her I was coming from BK and would be running a bit late, 8:15a. I was a bit annoyed but things happened. Once I got in the chair she promptly started. Checking with me to see if the braid length and width was ok. She even allowed me to take a 30 minute break when I had to check in with my boss. Once she started to bread the front I did ask her for a more natural method. We had a bit of a row between "knotless" and "natural." She agreed to braid the front of my hair in the knotless style. It was an issue because I have a TWA. In the end, I left shortly before 6pm. Baby, did text to ensure I got home ok. I was happy to get out of chair, starving and tired. The end result I thought was ok. When I got home to inspect. My front parts were extremely crooked. She did not redo all braids in knotless style as she said she did. It bothers me so much, I won't wear my hair in a bun ponytail. The customer service didn't match the technique enough for me. There were some excellent braiders in the salon. But I will search elsewhere next time I get my hair braided.

She washed and blew out my hair and when she was going to trim it I asked how the health of my hair looked. My hair WAS butt length. Natural. Yes I color it at home, but I take really good care of my hair. Hally asked if I wanted a trim or a cut for health and showed me what she said was transparent at the bottom of my hair which was approximately 4-5 inches. I said okay. Considering my hair is very long and a trim of about 4 inches will not make a huge dent. I agreed. When I got up from the chair there was soooooooo much hair on the floor. I immediately said to her that it looked like a lot of hair. She sat me by the dryers and when I went to feel my hair I stopped breathing. I couldn't talk. She curled it with the flat iron which wouldn't allow me to get the true gravity of the amount cut. She cut my butt length hair to almost the middle of my back. My hair is all uneven. Some pieces hit under my shoulder blade. It just choppy. It's horrible. In all my years getting my hair trimmed or cut, I've never experienced this. The time it will take for me to get my hair back to this length for me will probably take a year or more because of the unevenness. I'm just so sad from this experience. I even called her at the salon that night to express my anger and disappointment because I went home and stayed in the house to try to process this experience. I can not fathom why someone would think it is okay to chop someone's hair off like that and then gaslight me by saying "it'll grow back in 6-8 months. I know how to grow hair". I grew my hair. I didn't have a problem with that. I didn't go in for help to treat unkept hair or hair that was over processed and broken off. The insult at the end is that I paid for this. But in actuality I paid twice figuratively.

It was getting really frustrating because she would only contact you with information at 11PM -1AM. So everything was very last minute. I asked her if there were any beauty supply stores that sell that specific brand near her salon and she still didn't respond so I asked to reschedule. I'm not from the city so I don't know the area well enough to know if there are any beauty supply stores by her who sell that brand. She rudely texted me back saying "hun.... there are beauty supply stores in Harlem." Yes, I am aware of that but I don't know if any of them are going to carry this specific brand of hair. The beauty supply stores in my area didn't carry it and since we're in the middle of a pandemic I don't want to go around too many places searching. She was pissed that I was trying to reschedule and said that she doesn't have to save my spot if I cancel (when as you can see from her text I didn't cancel she asked to reschedule). Then she said bc she doesn't charge a fee for the appointment that I shouldn't care if it's canceled/changed bc spots can't be saved. Which is just completely inconsiderate of other ppls time. If that's the case why even make appointments at all if my spot isn't garenteed? Then she banned me from the store because I said we will have to either reschedule or just cancel the appointment. When my hair was dried, i got my makeup done and Roxan styled another client. After my makeup was done she styled my hair. She was honest about what would work and not work for my hair as my hair is very long but fine. And she added hair and things to make it look fuller. I left feeling beautiful and my son even called me a princess! It's now Sunday night and my hair is still intact, i don't want to undo it because i love it and have been sleeping with a bonnet and it looks exactly the same !
