What really stood out was the service. After finishing the install we came up two pieces short for a crawl space access door, and the product was already out of stock and discontinued. The owner could have easily sold us pieces from her newer collection, but she upfront told us the colors wouldn't match the existing floor. Instead, she personally followed up with the manufacturer and tracked down a full box of the original for us -- even though they normally don't sell single pieces. Fate brought us back to FAMI after 9yrs! We did a master bath remodel back in 2015 where our contractor suggested we install baseboards and crown moulding in our master bedroom and directed us to FAMI back then. Fast forward to 2024 and I completely forgot that FAMI offers more than just moulding/baseboards! We spent an entire weekend looking at tons of flooring shops in the "home project HUB of SJ" off of the Brokaw area and settled on a few choices. But then my memory told me to check FAMI's YELP and sure enough- they sell flooring too! So I made a quick solo trip there and met with Minh who was great in guiding me through the choices based on our color preferences, durability needs (we have a dog and a huge fish tank) and even let me take home a sample for my wife to see. I had a great sense of his integrity/honesty when he showed me what contractors choose on a budget for quick "flips" vs. home residence application. He did not pressure me at all and was simply there as a resource with any questions I had. Eventually, came back with the wife for her to see the larger sample and we ordered over 1k sq ft of flooring along with 260ft of base boards. Tammy was also awesome to work with as well. She provided a quick quote of all the materials and was great about follow-up when the materials arrived for pick up. We plan to replace the entire floor covering for our home. Our contractor suggest that we take a look at FAMI for their waterproof vinyl plank flooring. The place was small unlike the flooring show room. Jesse is the one-man owner. He does everything from ordering the material to driving the forklift and loading them for the customers. His products are cheaper than other places that we have visited and their qualities are excellent. If you are looking for crown molding, baseboard, panels or other related items, at way less prices than what other places like FMD and TMC can offer you, at times even half the price, then do check out this place. It seems to be a one-man show - the proprietor Jesse is the CEO is the cashier is the worker. And I guess that is why the prices are so low. They do not many of their offerings in stock so you will have to wait a bit but they have a display from where you can select. Depending upon the quantity he might be willing to put in a special order. My recommendation is to check out the other places such as the FMD (San Jose) and TMC (Santa Clara) for the item that you want and then bring it over to FAMI. In my case I bought flat panels for half the price that others were offering. Unfortunately I had bought crown molding from FMD, but later I found that FAMI would have sold it to me 20c per LF cheaper, which would have saved me another 50 bucks... Anyway, if you have ample time in your hand before you start a project, do check out FAMI. read more

Ok so this place doesn't have many reviews so here I am writing one to support this business. This place is run by one man, Jessie, whose English is pretty good. I came here to get his Eternity Flooring laminate flooring. He got me an awesome price. And it arrived to his store after just a few days after ordering. This flooring looks and feels like hardwood, being 12.3 mm thick. He doesn't have a huge huge selection but decent. You can go to other places that carry Eternity Flooring and then go back to him for better pricing. I just stumbled upon this place through Yelp. Thanks Yelp!
