If you are driving through and are super hungry and don't mind greasy diner food- then this is the lace for you. My BF ordered the cod meal and he got a cup of soup and applesauce to start. Then there was a plate of cod which has 6 huge fried pieces, a slice of Texas toast, a side of peas, side of French fries AND dessert! All for $8.95!! It's seriously ridiculous and so if you go- plan to split it unless you want takeovers. The food quality isn't amazing but for the amount of food and the diner atmosphere it does the job. I would give 2.5 stars but am rounding up to 3 because everyone was so nice here. read more

This is my favorite place in town to get great breakfast food at! It is cheap, fast, and delicious. The place is not fancy at all. You can even say its a hole in the wall, but don't be deceived by its looks. My favorites are the "2 for you breakfast" and the "Hammy Sandwich". I have tried other dinner entrees but they were not my favorite so I just stick to their breakfast foods. Omelettes, sandwiches, combos and such. Yum. read more

We went to Family Affair Cafe with our three young sons (3, 6, and 9). The amount of food you get is astounding, especially for the price. The beer-battered cod was the best we've had anywhere, ever. We're visiting from the Twin Cities and would be happy to eat here again tomorrow night (the menu selection is almost mind-boggling.) You even get a little ice cream, rice pudding, or Jell-o for your post-dinner enjoyment (included in the entree price.) Staff was polite, attentive, and patient with our kids. Good Food...not so great service. I went for breakfast one morning and got French Toast, bacon, and hashbrowns. The French Toast was good, not the best I've had but good. The bacon was...meh. I love my bacon and I just felt like this was pretty so-so bacon. Not all bacon is alike and this was one of it's lesser specimens. The hashbrowns were a bit greasy for me but the flavor was good and they were fully cooked. The service was not impressive. There were not that many people at the time I went so the waitress was not overworked. I barely saw her. I had to wait and wait and wait for a WATER refill, which of course made my breakfast luke warm to cold by the time I was finished. I didn't see her giving the other patrons much attention either. I don't know what she was doing. She wasn't rude, mind you, just absent. I also didn't think much of the building. It looked a little...not dirty, but more...uncared for? There was rust on the "legs" of the tables and the place just looked a little worse for wear. read more

This place is barely adequate. Servers are not very friendly or welcoming and it took 15 minutes to get coffee. If you are starving and no where else is open then eat here. I went there with my kids the waitress had an attitude and everything thing we said she got it wrong my kids ordered off the kids meal she acted like she was a psychic and tried to tell me my kids were over 12 when I had an 11 12 12 yo hence why they were ordering off the kids menu then when the food comes out they gave the kids the bottom of the fries bag the skins and the smallest fries they could find it was just enough for me I had to give off my plate for them to eat and then the potatoes I ordered were cold it was a horrible experience I am going to throw the race card in because as soon as we sat down the kids noticed how the waitress Megan was acting they asked if I knew her but I definitely didn't then also in the middle of us eating she decides to disturb us by vacuuming it was a bad service I didn't want to give one star read more

We went in here with our 2 year old daughter. There were 3 tables open and when they went to seat us I asked very nicely if we could have the back booth that was open instead of seating is right by the door. It's simply easier with a two year old with sensory overload. The hostess rolled her eyes at me and proceeded to tell us that she would now be helping the people behind us. It made no sense so when I told her if she was going to be rude we'd leave, she rolled her eyes again and walked away. My husband decided to leave after being treated like that. Took my children and mother in for breakfast. Staff was incredibly rude. After listening to the servers bicker back and forth across the restaurant, one of them finally decided to take our order. Halfway through my placing my order, she walked away! She eventually came back to finish taking my order only to have an attitude. When I told her to cancel everything that we wanted to go elsewhere, she began to argue with me and blame the other server. I am still shocked by the lack of professionalism and respect. Restaurant had great food and it was a nice little spot! The service was horrible tho. I asked our server twice for catsup never got it. She never even came after she took our order, My daughter ordered toast and hashbrowns she didn't get toast she got bacon instead. I had my drink at the side of the table so they can view I needed a refill nobody even came so had to drink my daughters.
