It usually ended with two parents holding him while trying to distract him just long enough to get the haircut done. I finally decided to try an actual kid-friendly, toddler-friendly salon and what a difference! My son sat by himself! He still wasn't exactly enjoying the haircut lol, but he actually let it happen without us having to hold him down. Dawnette was amazing. She was so patient and you can tell she really knows her demographic and knows how to work with toddlers and kids. She was very proactive about keeping him busy, distracted and engaged throughout the whole process. She made it easy for us parents to clean him up too. The whole location is made for kids. The artwork and decor are so fun and creative, there are things everywhere to keep little ones interested, and just good vibes all around. Even the quieter buzzers made such a difference for my son. For the first time, he didn't just get a quick buzz cut because we were trying to get it over with. He got an ACTUAL haircut, and it came out so cute! First of all, I sent her an email inquiring about an availability and I received a speedy response via text. She was able to work with my schedule and I was able to set an appointment within a week. Hair Queen: Upon meeting Christina, I KNEW she'd be great! From the our initial meeting, she made me feel welcomed and she has that type of personality you can relate to. She kept our conversation flowing throughout my visit and it honestly made the time go quickly. She listened to what I wanted to do with my hair and she openly gave feedback. I trusted her with my hair and she didn't let me down. I wanted a rich chocolate brown and longer bob and she made it happen. I love my cut and color! It doesn't feel like a corporate salon with stations lined up along the wall and products placed strategically on shelves. Christina's work station is at the front of the building. I love the beach theme she went with to decorate her space. It's cute and I'm happy that she made the space her own. There is the added barn doors so she can tend to her clients in private. You don't have to worry about people overhearing you gossip (because duh! It's what you do with your stylist! LOL). Her products are organized on her shelving units and she keeps a clean workstation. She did give me a tour of the salon and I was able to gather that the rest of the salon is also kept clean and organized. There is a common area where other stylists have their stations set up. The dryers and wash area are separate from the stylist's stations. Overall review: Christina is amazing and I'll be coming back to her for sure! Her prices are fair.
