I made an appointment with madison for a cut and color and she's was incredible! not only did she give me a great hair cut and a GORGEOUS blow out (i've been too scared to let anyone cut my hair in years) but she was also very thorough during the consultation and was honest about waiting a few weeks to do my color until we can get my hair to a healthier state, I appreciated that her priority was to ensure my hair was at its best! Another annual update: Cheyenne is my hair guru! Dude, seriously there's a reason why she's so busy. This time around I asked for bangs. So she penciled me in and in 30 mins I had what I asked for: curtain bangs that are versatile. She's so awesome and charged me 10 bucks to cut them. Sooo good. read more

This is a double review first I'm writing for my daughter, she's a teenager and this was her first time coloring her hair. She had a great experience and she's very shy, Erica was patient and very sweet! And when what we originally came in with wasn't going to be in the long-run what we'd be happy with, Erica came up with an alternative that both my daughter and I are very happy with! As for me I love my cut, color and balayage. My hair is soft still, i'm processing to a light blonde so we're keeping hair integrity while getting to said light blonde I'm happy with Erica and the blonde is only getting nicer no odd colors or anything, and I already booked my next session! read more

I got a gift certificate and got a massage here loved it but I dnt love the fact they added a additional service when I made it clear I wanted a certain one when calling and booking appt NOT cool at all cause I dnt have the money. I've tried on several occasions to call and book and mani/pedi and they always always have the excuse of o sorry she (manicure/pedicure person left)left early always or overbooked or she had a emergency bullshit sorry we are closing early etc always excuse after another. I had the same issue the day of my massage I showed up 20 minutes early like I always do to everything and she's like o we where gonna call u to come in later she's not here she's running errands and tried to cancel my appointment when I was there.ITS HORRIBLE If I want any service they always get LAZY or cancel on u or close outta the blue this place had potential when they don't lie about "overbooked" sounds like I don't wanna work and are lazy mani/pedi workers. Madison at Motnicello did an absolutely fantastic job on my daughter's hair! She had to do a color correction and style. She had some extra steps that weren't easy. She is very talented and will take the least damaging approach to color treatments. She truly knows what she is doing and is very skilled! There were several other stylists there who were also very helpful with some other stuff needing Dien for the celebrations, and I was very pleased at how professional, down to earth, kind, and friendly wleveryone in that salon is! What a waste of $40 on gel manicure. The one star is for greeting and making me fell welcome and offering water or tea. It was my first time there and I'll never go back. I'm writing this so you don't waste time or money for your nails there. My gel usually lasts 7-10 days until my nails grow. I got it done on a Wednesday, my thumb gel peeled off on Thursday, only ONE day later. One by one they peeled and by Sunday I had to get my nails done again. The nail polish collection is utterly unorganized. You have to pick your color from a DRAWER of wide range of colors. There is no color palette for you to know how it's going to look like on your nail. Not sure if Carol knew what she was doing. She took her time, talking and wasting time and not actually doing work. When I went in a second time after only 4 days to best city nails in Valencia, there was so much to be cleaned and trimmed, as if I haven't had a manicure done in months. First the tools aren't sanitized and packaged. She barely applied any base coat. I asked for 3 coatings and she accommodated. She stated that this particular brand doesn't need a top coat since it's already shiny, that she just got this brand and it doesn't need a top coat. As a first time customer, I thought ok, maybe this brand is different. On the contrary, she didn't have a clue. read more

I came here on Saturday 3/16/2024 on a short notice appt. My stylist was Angela and she was great. This is a very welcoming atmosphere, I was greeted right away, and also had a cup of coffee. First time at the Day Spa! And it won't be the last! I am so impressed with their customer service, friendly staff, incredibly relaxing an effective massages and facials! First off I was trying to find a spot for me and my friend to get facials and massages on short notice. I called Monticello when they were closed due to the holiday and the owner (Teisha) actually called me back a few hours later to say they were able to move some things around and accommodate my friend and I at a discount at that!!! We show up the next day and the staff we're expecting us and we're super friendly. Offered us something to drink while we waited. Only waited like 5 minutes and they took us back for our treatments. Arleen was our massage therapist. She's wonderful! Super friendly! Easy to talk to! First thing she asked was if I was having any problem areas I wanted her to focus on and what kind of pressure I would like. She was exceptional! I have had so many knots and tension in my neck and shoulders and in an hour she took away 90% of the knots and all of the tension!!! We also received facials by Katie. She was also amazing. Supper friendly, explained everything she was doing. I appreciated that since it was my first time ever getting a facial. My face feels so much cleaner and brighter! She got all the annoying hard to get blackheads! I'm so impressed! The rooms were small but beautifully decorated, smelt amazing, peaceful music. And very clean! Prices are the best I have seen in AV and Santa Clarita! Super reasonable!!! I'm gonna make this spot my go to at least once a month! Thank you all for a great experience! This review is for the massage portion of the salon. In no way does it reflect my feelings about the salon as a whole... I'll get to that at the end of my review. Katie has been working on me for the past two months and there is nothing bad I can say about my experience with her. She's very thoughtful and courteous, not to mention she has a very caring and nurturing feel to her... You know those people that just ooze happiness and joy? Yeah. That's her. Always the bright spot in my week, these massages have kept this tired old body feeling fantastic. I haven't tried any of the other body workers but there's no need. When you find something good, stick with it. Now to the salon.... I've never seen so much crap. Is this what all salons look like? Purses. Jewelry. Knick-knacks. Products. Supplies. Its all thrown in the space haphazardly. This place needs one of those 'tabitha takes over and makes over your salon' type of things. You know?! There's just a lot going on, and this includes the densely packed stylists and hair cutters jammed in the space. On a positive note, I notice this place is always packed full of people. I needed a change... At 7 pm I called Monticello wanting to get my hair colored. I came in and had a consultation with Abbie. I really didn't know what I wanted. She gave some suggestions. It was too late to have my hair colored so I made an appointment when I was next available. Abbie told me it would give me some time to decide between the 2 colors we had picked out. I still wasn't sure what I wanted when I came for my appointment. I asked Abbie for her opinion. She said she would pick the color what would compliment my skin color. So that's what we went with! I was scared to see the results as I was going from a faded raspberry to balayage, don't remember which shade. I loved the results!!! Color came out great! The balayage was blended. I'm super happy and I'm so glad Abbie was the hair stylist I ended up with. I told her it was meant to be! If you don't know what you want Abbie will help you find what it.
