One trip he asked me what I was interested in , my response was learning how to Bee keep ! He surprised me by saying he had just brought in bee keeping hives and equipment. Holy wow, this is in a small town like ours . So now I'm looking at a new hobby. I was just thinking about it. Love this store. Also use to buy Eco Friendly granular for ticks and fleas to spread in my back yard to safely protect my 2 dogs who are family . Home Depot stopped selling it so I was looking to order it from Amazon . The Owner told me he could get it for me , even was cheaper and no extra for shipping . I bought 4 bags . He said he would put a few bags on his self to sell as well . Guess what after I recommended it to my friends those bags only sat on the self a few hours so he ordered more. Again I love this place.

I was checking out and and my cashier began to bag my items, I took out my reusable bag and politely said (with a smile) "I actually don't need a bag, I brought my own :)" the cashier then took the plastic bag and put it in the bag I brought, defeating the purpose of me bringing my own bag, so I politely said "oh just save that one for the next customer!" She then took the plastic bag that my items were originally going to be bagged in AND THREW IT AWAY. It felt quite disrespectful and even spiteful. We live in a time where employers should communicate with their employees that some consumers try not to waste plastic and that needs to be respected. It is my personal choice to be mindful of my plastic use and I would like to not have that choice taken from me.

I used to think ACE was just like the other big box places, but your Stevensville store really showed me the true meaning of a hometown hardware store! Two weekends ago, I stopped into my ACE. And the lady at the front register (wish I could remember her name) remembered my face and our previous convo about how I love getting popcorn from there on Saturdays...she fired up the popcorn machine while I was shopping! And I walked out with some of the freshest popcorn in all of Berrien County! I really appreciate your store and the wonderful people there. I must admit, while the added items are cool, I'm disappointed that Five Below has added a "$10…read morebelow" section because one of the thing I liked about it was that they didn't pretend to be a dollar store by and were up front about their prices via their name. But now, they have going outside their vow of staying below $5. You used to be able to walk out with a single item and have it be no more than $5.30 because of tax. No more of that. Even with that atrocity, I love this store and have been coming here since opening day. I even bought my white elephant gifts for Christmas here. Whether you need things to build sand castles, kinetic sand, magnets, phone cords, phone speakers, or even clothes and shoes, Five below has you covered. They have a large candy section considering everything on that section is under $5. It even has a $5 bag of mini swedish fish. I also appreciate their selection of pocky.
