Recently has a wake here my experience was good but not great. We had the wake in their new location in Palmdale my grievances were as follows. The staff did not have the room cold enough we had a large family over 100 people it was way too hot we were literally sweating. I know we could've asked Doreen to make it colder but honestly with all the emotion of saying goodbye and so much going on it slipped our minds but my issue is we shouldn't have to do that the staff should be on top of it and making sure the temperature is cool enough. My other issue was the flowers a lot of my family purchased funeral arrangements thru them expensive ones $200 and up and they were honestly trash. You could see the foam they looked nothing like the pictures and barely had any flowers. I understand they don't make the arrangements themselves but at the end of the day they choose which vendors they partner up with and they should do a better job at not accepting such low quality flowers work from them we trusted them with the flower arrangements and we were all disappointed with the outcome. At the end of the day it's the mortuary's reputation so why accept such low quality arrangements? My other issue is they were filling the lobby with water bottles I would expect the staff to stay on top of that. As for the positives I will say Doreen was the only one who answered when we needed a mortuary. She was very kind, respectful made us feel comfortable and never once tried to upsell us. She answered right away when we called. Her customer service was far better than the rest. I'm grateful to have worked with her during the hardest moment of our lives. read more

When they came they each expressed their condolences, rearranged the living room, gave me time alone then prayed with me. It was so kind at the moment of grief. The follow up was done so well. Check your invoices.This company over charges and creates bogus itemization statements to their benefit. I can't believe how the state of California hasn't caught on to their practices. I uphold the empathy displayed but it's all a show to nickle and dime victims of violent crime so they can pocket more money. Do not sign any blank documents and. make sure all costs are written down. My brother's cremation service cost over $13k, for that price you might as well go out of the AV and they added items that they never provided to us. BEWARE!! read more

The passing of my father was expected but still hard to walk through regardless. In these circumstances, the last thing you need to worry about is the stressful business and paperwork of a death. Family Memorial Services helped make this process as bearable as possible. Working with Tricia was a pleasant process amongst one of the hardest times in our lives. She was attentive, sympathetic, efficient and patient. My family appreciated this during intense emotion. She was able to coordinate with us all of the arrangements needed and also helped put together a beautiful service for my father that was worthy of the life he lived. If I could give a 0 rating I would! My mother's death was something we knew was coming and went to Family memorial services based on a recommendation from the cemetery. Even after trying to put things together before my mother's death so we didn't have to deal with paperwork and steps during our mourning, it still was not done correctly. It took two months of texts, emails and phone calls to get the headstone created digitally for us to approve, which finally only happened due to my mother being placed on hospice. We left multiple messages only to finally have to show up to the building for answers. At my moms passing, the vehicle used to pick my mother's body up was a Chrysler, not a hearse. Then the day before my moms services, we were told we had to call the cemetery to arrange for my moms burial; we only found this out due to a family member asking if the mortuary took care of that end of communication. We have buried 7 loved ones in 7 years and have never had to do this part. This delay created the problem where my mom was not buried until 5 days after her services and my sister had to be at the burial alone. This is completely unacceptable and disrespectful in handling death. This is the hardest time of my family's life and to be handled with minimal care is atrocious. Go to Haley Olsen. read more
