A great place to taste pizza. This is a small place but the food makes up for it. The veg pizza was great. The cheese pizza was great. The staff was friendly and courteous. Oh live going to a "hole in the wall"that offers great food and customer service. Next time I am here I will come back for pizza.

Garbage pizza. Do not believe the reviews. I wish we'd skipped over this one. Against my better judgment I also tried the empanada. DO NOT.

An authentic Italian gem on Arthur Avenue…read more Zero Otto Nove was recommended to us by the owner of Titles Brothers, where I regularly go to buy Italian cold cuts and cheeses. It turned out to be one of the best recommendations we've received. My mom, my daughter, and I absolutely loved our experience. The food was outstanding, the wine was excellent, and every dish was full of authentic Italian flavor. We arrived about 30 minutes before closing, but the staff welcomed us with a smile and never made us feel rushed. Instead, they took the time to recommend some of their favorite dishes, and every suggestion was delicious. What made the evening even more special was how kind and attentive they were to my daughter. Their hospitality was exceptional and made us feel truly welcome. If you're visiting Arthur Avenue and looking for authentic Italian cuisine with outstanding service, Zero Otto Nove is a restaurant I highly recommend. Great food, excellent wine, warm hospitality, and an atmosphere that makes you want to stay longer. We'll definitely be coming back!

We started with the Patate Salsiccia e Provola, and I immediately understood why Italians talk with their hands my mouth was too busy eating to say anything. Crispy potatoes, savory sausage, and gooey provola cheese... comfort food at its finest. For my main course, I had the Pollo Capriccio with a glass of red wine. The chicken was so tender I barely needed a knife, and the wine had me looking around for a Vespa to ride back to the Bronx. The service was fantastic friendly, attentive, and patient enough to let me butcher every Italian word on the menu without judging me. At least not out loud. If this isn't what Italy feels like, don't tell me. I'm happy living in this delicious fantasy. Now excuse me while I search for affordable flights to Rome... or just uback to Arthur Avenue.

They have a variety of choices and I enjoyed that the plates were not like your typical Italian restaurant with the same options. Having been to Mario's and a few other famous spots, I finally had a chance to try Enzo's this past weekend. Honestly, the food was not the problem, though nothing amazing. The service let them down on this day. My whole group felt the cold shoulder from our waiter when we did not order wine. For the rest of the meal, it just felt unpleasant. As for the food, though decent, I was hoping to be blown away by superior quality. Almost everything was good, but none had that wow factor. Clams Oreganata (6.5/10) - Wish the clams were more plump and noticeable. Breading and sauce were both okay. Caesar Salad (7/10) - The portion was noticeably small, but the flavor was tasty. Just wished their croutons were better. Eggplant Rollatini (7/10) - Cheesy and delicious. My problem with this dish was the watery sauce and why was it served lukewarm. Linguine w/ Clam Sauce (7.5/10) - Plenty of chopped clams, which gives the sauce its briny goodness. The pasta was al dente, making this my favorite dish. Veal Chop Martini (7.5/10) - Basically a pounded veal chop on the bone breaded and fried like schnitzel. The batter was a bit too thick and hard for me, but the combination of onions, green olives, and cherry pepper in a white wine sauce was the best part. Tiramisu (6/10) - Not enough coffee or liquor flavor. All I taste is the creamy mascarpone cheese. Affogato (5/10) - The espresso was actually fantastic. Unfortunately, the almond flavored ice cream was icy and not creamy enough. Btw, their complementary bread was meh. Based on the food, I think it is on the cusp of four stars, especially since the decor has old school charm. However, rude service is never tolerated. This restaurant has been around a long time, so I hope this was an isolated incident.

The man behind the counter was very friendly and smiling big. It was pleasant. I asked the slice to be cut down the middle. I put seasonings on one and nothing on the other half. Unfortunately even with the seasonings, there was no flavor. The sauce was bland and cheese was super oily. I might overlook that if the crust was nice and crispy but it too was flavorless and VERY doughy. You know when you can taste the doughy flavor? Yuck.... Let's put it this way.... My dog didn't even want it! Sorry to say it was not enjoyable and I definitely wouldn't go out of my way to come here again. Also, for this sad slice, the cost was $3.50! If I work and spend most of my time in Manhattan and even on the upper east side a good slice is $2.50-$2.75, with most places offering lunch specials 2 for $5 with a drink. Joes pizza was disappointing. I'd much rather go down the block and pay the extra $10 for a delicious sandwich from the Italian deli.

Located in what feels like one of the last remaining pockets of old Italian New York on Arthur Avenue, it's a reminder of a neighborhood that has changed over the years. The Italian community may be smaller than it once was, but the flavors here remain as authentic as ever. The bread, which I believe comes from Addeo & Sons, is also excellent and worth mentioning on its own. Whenever I'm in the area shopping for Italian groceries or hunting down harder to find seafood like langoustines, I make it a point to stop here for a meal. It's the perfect way to complete an Arthur Avenue visit.

However, overall, we enjoyed the food. Unfortunately, the service was a completely different experience. From the hostess to our waiter, the service was simply not good. When we arrived, the hostess initially told us she would not seat us because a few people from our party had not arrived yet. I explained that I had called ahead and specifically discussed this, since the majority of our party was already present and we planned to order while waiting for the remaining guests. And They sure let me know We only had two hours at the table! Only after explaining this did she agree to seat us. Once seated, the service did not improve. I repeatedly had to call our waiter over--first to place our food order and then again to order drinks. After dinner, he never asked whether we wanted coffee or dessert, which was especially surprising at an Italian restaurant. We were a group there to enjoy dinner together, and we should not have had to continuously seek out our waiter or other waiters nearby for basic service. The food was enjoyable, but unfortunately, the lack of attentiveness and hospitality really took away from the overall experience. Good food is important, but good service is a major part of dining out as well.
